Highly recommend! Long Island Pool and Patio were great from start to finish. They have a great showroom with many pools on display outdoors. This was helpful in choosing pool liner and patio colors. We had a brand new pool installed in 2021. They turned our backyard into a paradise. The whole process was completely smooth and hassle-free (from dig, build, leveling, patio, slide, fire-pit, and waterfall installation. The communication on this project was excellent. I never felt unsure of what was happening and what to expect. Every single person that worked on the project was hardworking, knowledgeable, and professional. As a side benefit, we also found everyone to be friendly and very willing to give advice and recommendations. We appreciated this because we are new to pool ownership. They use a software called Basecamp to manage the project with all pictures, files, and people working on the project. This keeps things so organized. Like everyone else because of covid and not being able to go away we wanted to put in a pool. My son in laws cousin used this company so we contacted them to start the process. It was a long process and we knew it would be due to the fact that one of our neighbors didn't want us to have an inground pool for some reason. Once we got past that it moved along. As with any construction there were issues and they were all addressed. I was reading some other reviews and the one thing I DO agree with is that you never know when they're showing up and no one contacts you to let you know when someone will be there. Aside from that everyone we spoke to and dealt with was very nice and helpful. We have already recommended this company to a couple of other people. We would definitely use them again if we had to. These guys are the best! Put up a Bestway quick set pool (18' round) and decided to go salt water instead of chlorine. First went to that "other" pool store, the one on Horseblock road. If your reading this you know what store I mean. And those guys are all sleaze balls. Try and sell you crap at a "discount" and promise you the world only to pull the rug out from under you at the register. Should have trusted my gut and went to LI pool and patio first. Employees are top notch and very knowledgeable. Told me exactly what I needed and didn't try to sell me garbage I didn't need. Not sure of the name of the guy I have been dealing with, but I have been back 4x to test my water and he greets me with a smile and a hello every time. Tells me exactly what I need and their prices are great! All the chemicals I needed were under $50! Those other guys tried to sell me hundreds of dollars of liquid chemicals that I "needed" to have to make my pool work. *********WARNING************************* ** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ** To start, We got our pool done with this company a year ago. After all the construction was finished, we were pleased. We had them come back at the start of the summer to open our pool, about $500. We recently noticed our control panel was not working, some of the functions were not properly functioning. We called for service, and they said a specific day and gave us a time frame. They DID NOT come on this day, whatsoever. Infact, when we called they said there was a lot of work, and they couldn't come that day. Fine, they scheduled another day and time. ONCE AGAIN DID NOT SHOW. Keep in mind i take off from work, and they don't have the audacity to call and let me know they wont be making it. Instead i wait for hours, and they do not show. FINALLY, 3 months after the original call, now close to the end of the summer, they show unexpectedly. No warning call, just show up. I had gotten my driveway completely re-done the day before. I mean COMPLETELY re-done. a $12,500 project, with masonry, new asphalt, everything. ALL OF OUR CARS ARE IN THE STREET. Not one car was in the driveway, as well as a sign that stated new masonry, and caution tape against the ground. THE WORKER PULLS INTO OUR DRIVEWAY AND PARKS. Are you kidding me? What was your first clue that you should pull in? Wasn't it obvious our cars were in the street for a reason? you don't see the roll of caution tape on the ground? This pissed me off tremendously. Since when does a service worker pull into your driveway anyway? Let alone a time like this. The guy was here for 10-15 mins tops. I was actually surprised it took this short amount of time, considering it took 3 MONTHS to get here, and made it sound like it was too big of a job to squeeze into a busy schedule. I was PISSED about my driveway, but still very respectful, as i didn't even mention it to him on his way out to his car. Then he gives me the bill. CHARGED FOR A FULL HOUR OF WORK, $150. Are you kidding me? The man was here for maybe 20 Minutes, including pulling into the driveway, walking to the backyard, and writing up the bill. No more than 10 mins of actual work. We called to complain about to ridiculous charge, and they said " WE DID YOU A FAVOR" by replacing the item, that was UNDER WARRANTY. We vow to never give this company another cent, and you shouldn't either. Had a pool installed about five years ago. A huge expense and I initially felt I chose the right company. WRONG! They used poly-flex PVC which is prone to damage from chlorine from the inside out, and termite and other critter damage. I now have leaking returns and skimmers that need new piping. It will cost me THOUSANDS to repair. https://flexpvc.com/application-guidelines.shtml From the PVC website: "If the pipe is buried in the ground with large sharp rocks, sometimes the rocks can rub a hole in the pipe. Keep this in mind when burying pipe. Backfill with sand or screen out the large sharp rocks. Standard gravel, pea gravel, sand, Type II, topsoil, etc are all fine for backfill. It is not resistant to insects, in particular, termites have been known to eat it. Research has shown flexible PVC does not attract termites, however if flexible pvc is placed in between a termite nest and a food source, they may try to eat their way through it. (They are too dumb to go around it.) FlexPVC.com will not be responsible for failure due to insect damage, nor rocks rubbing against the pipe and wearing a hole in it. You can lace your backfill and trenches with boric acid to reduce the likelyhood of termites, but it won't last forever. If you have termite infestation and want to use Flexible PVC pipe, you should retreat your trenches every few years to be safe, just like you do your house, garage, etc." read more

I have called this company multiple times in regards to product and services and was advised that someone will call me back. First I would not be calling if I could wait the 4 or 5 days later for a response, now they will call you back but give it a week and then when they do call you back, and you give them your info, it takes another week for them so get back to you. We had our pool installed last year by Long Island Pool and Patio. Do yourself a favor and visit their showroom, they have full size pools right on the property, making it easy to visualize what your yard will look like! Our salesman Kenny was awesome, and Mike the owner came up with several beautiful designs for us to choose from. Once we selected the design, Mike and Kenny coordinated all of the work, from excavation to the stone work around the pool. All of the staff from LIPP were courteous and professional and did everything they could to make us happy. Our pool is beautiful and we have received many compliments. Any problems were quickly taken care of, and we recommend them highly. John and Donna in the store are amazing also, always helpful and quick to respond. We had Long Island Pool and Patio install a Loop Loc cover and close our pool, and we have mixed feelings with our experience with them. Cindy was great at trying to rectify the issues, and her communication with us was competent and courteous. Obvious things were not done the first time (such as the pool being emptied to the proper level before closing). Overall the whole job seemed rushed. The workers came in, and were not professional (bent a rose bush, and were kicking around patio chair). Things were not done right the first time, and if I didn't check that things were done properly then they would have remained incomplete through the winter. Although the pool is now closed I am still not confident that everything is done that should have been done. For these reasons we will not be using their services again, and can only recommend them with hesitation. read more

This year we have a problem with our pump which has ceased and is covered under the warranty. LI Pool & Patio has not been helpful at all they have been giving us the run around and the story keeps changing. LI Pool & Patio is very happy to take your money but once the project is done don't expect to hear from them AGAIN! We researched in ground pools for about six months before deciding that Long Island Pool & Patio had the best engineered product for the money, even though it was a bit more expensive than the other liner pools on the market. We signed the contract in September of 2013 and work started on the day promised in October. Mike was involved in every step - planning, initial excavation, installation and pouring the cement backing up the graphite composite panels and base of the patio (which allows the patio and coping to be put in immediately). Mike and his masons worked with us when we proposed a last minute change adding to the patio design. If you get a chance to watch the masons, do so, they are artists. There was one cost surprise with the electrician - we did not allow for the pool light wiring - and Mike worked with us on that, also. We have used LI P&P for closings and openings since, only once did they not show up on the originally planned date, but we had three days warning that they could not make it, due to several days of rain in a row. We did have a problem in the beginning of the 2016 season, which turned out to be a faulty circuit board. LI P&P subcontracts this work, and there I experienced issues, mostly due to missed calls and some calls not returned promptly by the contractor. The first appointment to have it examined by that company was missed. The rescheduled appointment came on time, and as the piece was still under warranty, replaced at no charge. I would highly recommend Mike and company for installing a pool. The customer service, while overall good, does have room for improvement when a third party contractor is involved. read more

Had a pool installed about six years ago by Long Island Pool and Patio. Right from the start we had problems with the pool liner. Within the first week the liner started coming of the track. We called them right away and they never sent anyone back to fix the liner. after 10 days the liner came off the track causing all the pool water to come out and under mind the side wall. The company had to replace a 2 week old liner. There was no more problems for the rest of the summer. The next spring when the pool was opened the liner was coming out of the track again. This time they sent the installer John over and he put the liner back in the track. The liner stayed for the rest of the summer. The next spring 2 years after the pool was installed, when opening the pool the liner was coming off the track again. John came over again and this time he put a rubber filler in the track to help hold the liner in the track and noted on the work order that the excursion may be defective and may need to be replaced. Well there temporary job held up for a few years. Now this year 2016 when opening the pool I see that the rubber filler that was put in as a temporary repair was now hanging off the track and that the liner was also coming off the track. After talking to them on the phone I was told that there was going to be a $150.00 service charge and that they going to also charge me per foot for the rubber filling to hold the liner in again. I feel that the track should have been replaced several years ago when the worker stated it on the worker that the track maybe defective. This is just another temp repair job until the next time the liner comes undone from the track. I hope that Mike and Donna reads these complaints because I will be looking for another company to fix this track problem the right way and take Long Island Pool and Patio to court and sue them for the cost. Also I will be making a complaint to the B.B.B. about this. read more
