Suntek Review I am not a big fun of leaving reviews. I thought it's a waste of my time but I always like to give credit where credit is due. I would like to share my Superb buying experience with Suntek Pools & Spas. Six months ago our Outdoor HotTub unexpectedly broke and we decided to look for replacement ASAP. It's a major expense so we carefully planned our purchase ( That was my Cruise money ) We started shopping On-line. I never thought that tons of HotTubs names out there. Then the next 2 days we shopped around all the Spa Stores in Nassau & Suffolk. By the end of the second day, my eyes were exhausted and all of them started to look alike I but we still have one last store to visit and that's Suntek Pools & Spas. They were almost closing when we got there. A young Sale Representative whose name is Drew Silverman, probably 3x my age greeted us right away. We asked only few questions since we knew it was late. This guy described what, how & why and the service assistance the tub we thought we like. This guy looks like a kid but very confident, comprehensive & has good business attitude. We didn't feel that we were rushed or feel like we were dealing with "old car lot salesman" ( if you know what I mean )They should call him Product Specialist. To make this review short. We ended up doing side by side comparisons between Master Spa & Jacuzzi Spa. We went back and forth between the two stores. I'm surprisingly disappointed with The Jacuzzi tub. The features did not impress the me and the service support is doubtful ( I guess the name doesn't cut it) and not to mention the how we were redirected to 3 sales persons in the store. My spouse still voted for the Jacuzzi because of the name, but after I pointed out the stress we might go through in the future, we decided to go with Suntek. Being a retired Nurse Manager, I frequently look at how the device provides the benefits to our patients and most importantly how my staff competently and efficiently convey that benefits to our patient. Drew demonstrated all that behavior and we felt assured the we won't have headaches in the future.. Drew also coordinated the all the scheduling, installation, and Spa tutorial session and taking into consideration our timetable. Thanx Drew for making this Spa purchase easy, fast & painless.. WOW...This company SunTek stands out well above the rest of its competitors. Over a year ago I started looking into the purchase of Swim Spa for my home. To narrow my search down I spent much time online researching different manufactures before going out and visiting any local dealers. Manufacture, Product, Warranty and Dealer support was most important to me. I looked at MasterSpas, ThermoSpa, Endless Pools, and Catalina to name a few. If I could have given a zero, I definitely would. Everything was very nice in the beginning. We had two guys come out to measure our pool so we can order a cover. Before ordering, we had questions. Woman answering phone calls had an attitude like she can't be bothered. Emails went un answered. On a third call she said to text. Then immediately responded with complete denial. At first I was happy with them because of the job they did installing a new liner for my inground pool. I then explained that I have an issue always opening a green pool in the spring. They assured me if I purchased their Aqua Extreme Loop Loc cover that my pool would not have the same problem. I also hired them to close and winterize my pool. After spending $2000 on that cover my pool has opened up dark green! What a complete waste of money. It was so disappointing. read more

I bought our hot tub 6 months ago from Suntek.....so glad I did. They have been great every step of the way. Just did my first water change and I got some messages on the control panel that I was uncertain about. The next day - a courtesy service call told me everything was ok. I installed the new filter and the necessary chemicals and we are good to go for the next 6 months. Don't buy your hot tub anywhere else. We love our hot tub on the cold nights - we put a pop up tent on our deck with an infra red heater inside and few chairs. Here's my 2 cents. So saved for a new tub and did my homework. I went to a closer tub store near me and overpriced and couldn't care less feeling, like they were doing me a favor. I then stopped at Suntek. My salesmen was Manny and answered all my newbie questions and felt very relaxed and good atmosphere. I put a deposit down on my clarity 8 and knew it would be around 8 months out with custom details. I called during the wait and had a question here and there. No issues very friendly. I received tub and let me say we love it! I feel you get a lot more for your money with master spa over say jacuzzi ect. I had an issue and techs were out right away and took care of it no problems. My cover caddy is also going to be installed and that's scheduled and I'm sure it will go smooth. So I was told the most important thing is a good dealer and support for life of the tub ect. Let's say so far so good and I'm happy I went with master spas and Suntek. So as of right now I have to give them 5 stars because I'm happy with the product aka service from the dealer. Suntek recently installed my inground pool. I would describe the project, from design to completion, as seamless. Although the weather didn't always cooperate, the project was completed before the summer season, as promised. I dealt mostly with the owner, Bob, who I found to be very  knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest. His recommendations were always based on sound reasoning and consideration of budgetary concerns. This resulted in the selection of  high quality products at reasonable costs. Overall pricing was very fair, with a few surprising upgrades/extras included. The construction workers were professional and pleasant to deal with.  They did a fantastic job installing the pool, liner, and heater /pump. Everything is running perfectly. I have received many accolades regarding the finished product and believe it has been a sound investment to my home and property. Hired this company to open my pool. They say for $300, they will set up everything and provide initial shock to the pool. Well, they came by, opened it, placed the ladder and diving board. Threw some shock in and told me to leave the filter running. The pool water was green from algae. One day passes, no change in water color. Two days pass, no change in water color. I call the company and they tell me I need to buy algaecide and it's my responsibility to clear the water. They only do initial shock treatment. Fair enough. But the initial shock treatment should have shocked the algae in the pool causing the water to turn from green to a cloudy blue. The cloudy color means the algae has died and the filtering 24/7 removes the dead algae leaving me with clear water. Additionally, these guys should have come to test the water to see how much shock was needed. They never tested and randomly tossed in shock and then told me it after it wasn't their problem. Anyway, after four days I eventually went to a king kullen bought 10 gallons of 12% liquid shock, poured it in the pool to reach appropriate shock level for my size pool and magically the next day the water turned cloudy blue. I hired these guys because I am a new homeowner and didn't know the first thing about pool cleaning. After a few hours on the "the" google, I learned I was had. I spent $300 for two guys to screw on my ladder and diving board and call it a day. I spent $30 total on product to get the water clear ($3/gallon of liq shock) yes it cost me 10x that to be told I have to buy a gimmick in a bottle called algaecide. Why wasn't I told that by the guys they sent to shock the pool? I wish I spent the time to learn on my own first before spending money on a company. So, I give them 2 stars. They did half the job but screwed up the most important part of it and did nothing to help me when I called them. I wouldn't use Suntek again. read more

We purchased our hot tub from Suntek several years ago. Had a problem with it recently - it was not heating sufficiently. The unit is now out of warranty so I was apprehensive about what the repair might cost. I called their service department and spoke to Mary - she was very courteous and arranged a service call. She also provided a repair cost estimate. The technicians arrived on time and were very professional. They identified the failed part and it was ordered. (I fully understand that you can't have everything in stock!) Mary arranged a follow-up service call, the technicians fixed the problem, and now my tub now works perfectly. The final repair cost was reasonable (a bit lower than the estimate actually, which I appreciate). I would highly recommend them for the purchase or service of a hot tub. read more
