LOVE the packaging and detailed invoice included with my fabric. Will definitely use them again.

I made it to Colorado Springs last week and this was on my list. (Especially when I found out there…read moreare NO Local Yarn Stores in Colorado Springs.) I've been to a similar store in Austin and Houston, they ALL have some really neat goodies. I got some art from one of the knitting and crocheting teachers, she did have some of her own hand dyed, but I got art and stickers instead. I found the book room, got one I've looked at for at least 10 years-knitting coffee table size and $$$. $5 was kinda perfect I also got a crochet book. I got some yarn and made out like a bandit with knitting needles for $2 a pair. There was another section close to the register that had packages with several tapestry needles for $1 a package. There were multiple bathrooms (all looked accessible). There was also accessible parking. I was by myself on forearm crutches, the accessibility means so much. Last but far from least, the people. I have the knitting teacher's name at home, but she was GREAT. Also gave me suggestions on yarn stores in Denver. Another awesome lady helped me find a place for my crutches, I was using a basket and they were in the way. When I had questions on some yarn the cashier in rainbow and a huge smile and kind personality got me the yarn specialist....then she helped me carry my hoodies to my car. (Some needles ended up in my carry on. The rest was in a box my friend shipped me.) If you are into crafts at all or read or you need cheap entertainment for kids of all ages. PLUS. There Is A Parking Lot. (Not Street Parking)

Many friends pointed me to Clifford Upholstery. Their work was booked five months out. I considered that a good sign. Next, the fabric. Clifford's has an excellent fabric collection, but I'm used to scanning 24 of something at a time on a laptop. I spent eight months looking diligently for fabric and then bought it from Clifford's. (There don't seem to be many honest fabric dealers online.) I picked out expensive fabrics. So with good furniture and expensive fabric, I needed an equally good upholsterer. The furniture looked breathtaking when it came back. The dining chair backs have four curves on the top and taper toward the seat. On top of that, I picked a complicated pattern. But it was positioned beautifully on all eight chairs, including their double welts. Same attention to detail on the sofa. I didn't realize what high quality work it was until one friend, sadder but wiser, pointed out everything that her reupholstery lacked.
