This is the most unfriendliest Homestead handcraft shop. My husband and I walked in weren't even welcomed in. I'm not sure if maybe they just don't like Mexicans. There was this rude lady. I think I heard them say Bobby, this chic actually yelled at me across the room to tell me don't try on any earrings you're not supposed to. She didn't say discreetly she didn't say it nicely, she repeated herself again to me when I reached the counter. I was in shock. I've never had anybody be so rude especially at a shop like this. I would never recommend anybody going there, especially if she's working. read more

Went last week & both employees were stuck up. (Hispanic male & older white lady) comparative to other vintage/antique shops this one misses the mark. they're not friendly. I feel bad for the vendors that open up their shops here I can't imagine they would make any profit with having sales associates who are not very friendly to every customer who walks in through those doors. I had my eyes one two bigger pieces $500+ & I ended up just leaving. The mood of wanting to spend immediately left when they treated me poorly . I have no desire of ever returning. read more

I used to work very close to this place, and always wondered about it. Recently, I made a short trip to visit and explore. I really liked it. For those that do not know, Homestead Handcrafts sells handmade crafts and antiques, similar to Craftique. Each owner aligns their locale with their vision and sets their sale items to be peruse independently . Although, I have a similar spot in my area, refer to the above Craftique, I found Homestead Handcraft to be charming, with some pieces that peaked my interest. It is not cheap, but there were some worthwhile deals to be made and a great many collector items. It is worth a second visit for me. read more

The biggest snob!!!!!!!her name was Bobby (manager) and she was so rude to us. we went in there, wanting to spend money and and have fun shopping, but she ruined it for us .. she was rude, short and impatient, and with a bad attitude ...I will never shop there again. i'd rather make the long drive to the other Homestead in Thousand Oaks .. than to shop there... so vendors you are losing money because of her ... have a nice day!! read more

I have never been in a place where EVERYTHING I saw, I genuinely wanted. Until I went to Homestead Handcrafts. They have aisles and aisles of handmade crafts from home decor to jewelry to kid's clothes and anything in between. I found several great pieces for my house and will also keep it in mind when I want unique gifts for birthdays or house-warming presents. I was like a giddy kid in a candy store walking through the craft mall. I may or may not have actually squealed in delight at some of my finds - more than once. I find particular delight in supporting local artists AND having pieces that no one else will have. Whether that means art or jewelry of even coasters, and shopping here gives you the opportunity to have several! And the prices were MORE THAN affordable. Many of these one-of-a-kind finds were absolutely beautiful and under $10. The style is very Texas and a lot of it girly, and by that I mean rhinestones, bows and feathers. I found a picture frame with all three so of course, that was my prized purchase... On Saturdays, weather permitting, they have sidewalk sales. Even more merchandise at even lower prices. There were some beautiful antiques. They had a pie safe from the 1940's that was in very great condition with a price of $159.00. Don't tell my mom, but I may head back and scoop that up for her for a birthday gift! I had lunch last Monday at Choke Canyon Cafe and saw Homestead Handcrafts was on the other side of the parking lot. Being a fool for antiques I had to stop in. I checked the place out and found stuff like old 1950's furniture, old phones and old tube radios in the nooks and crannies of the place. I asked one of the staff for some help to find a gift for my wife. She showed a Consuela hand bag and said they were very popular. The Consuela Tote was kinda large and really detailed and I thought my wife would like it. I bought a black one and put it in the top box on the motorcycle for the ride home. Well the Lady at the store was correct. My wife loves her new tote and went back to the store get another one. You have a nice place....thanks for the help! read more

This is a great place when looking for that unique gift! It's a shop in which crafters/business owners rent space and sell their items. They have everything from hand painted wine glasses to hair bows to furniture to candles. It's a super fun shop to spend some girl time in :) I only gave 4 stars because it's hit or miss.... sometimes chocked full of super cool stuff and other times, it's more bare. It is such a shame that the employee at the Blanco location is so incredibly lacking in tact and grace to say that the vendors do not appreciate their items being thrown around the store it was quite overreactive to my baby picking up plastic ducks out of the container in the children's clothing section while I was choosing handfuls of clothing off the top rack. There are such better, more honest and accommodating ways to address a situation that may be annoying for YOU! I'm almost certain that the beautiful garment maker of children's clothes would not be as concerned by her client playing with the display toys as she would be on missing out on a very large sale because the employee didn't feel like doing her job and offering a little customer service. Will NOT return. read more

This is always my "go to" place for special gifts when I'm looking for something unique. They have a great variety of crafts, which are reasonably priced. I could spend hours strolling through the isles, looking at all the goodies. read more

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes they have neat things but most of them the time not. I would say it is an expensive goodwill. The old lady in the front register always looks at everybody like they are stealing. It is both comical, weird and disturbing all at the same time. read more
