We moved to the south Minneapolis area in July 2015 and quickly located a house in Lakeville, MN…read more Our realtor recommended Tony Wrobel to do a home inspection for us. The report he produced was very thorough and pointed out potential issues or maintenance that could be needed. We paid $450 for this inspection. One of the more important aspects he pointed out was that there were water marks on the ceilings in several areas. He surmised that there may be an issue with the roof. Unfortunately, he refused to look at the roof to see if there was, indeed a problem. He refused to take a look because the access point was too high above the stairs and said that we would need to put up scaffolding to safely inspect. This issue is still hanging over our head and I would have liked to either pay less for the inspection so we could hire someone to investigate. (Just so you know, the exterminator inspector said getting up there was no problem and grabbed a ladder and went up into that area soon thereafter, so this is a little annoying.) In any event, if you are looking to purchase an older house be sure to find out what the inspector will (or will not do) so you are fully informed before you pay for the inspection.

It's been exhausting, to say the least. Our realtor recommended Tony Wrobel for our home inspection and we couldn't have been happier. From the darkest corners of the basement to the highest point of the roof, Tony was certainly thorough in his inspection of the house. But most importantly, he was patient. He walked us through every element of the home and he took the time to answer all my silly questions. I have a lot of questions (that's my style). He also provided us with some advice and simple fixes for non-life safety issues. It's an injustice that he's got a three-star review; I can't imagine it's possible to get a more thorough inspection at a reasonable price. 0 concerns to pass along.
