If you loved the arcade in Norwood, MA, then it's your lucky NJ day. This is a fun new addition to Bloomfield for kids and nostalgic adults. The owner was really nice and let us walk around first before we bought the tickets so we could see the options. It's $20 for free play which is pro: good to try a few games and get more rounds without having to worry about an endless roll of quarters but con: people may hog certain games. I was mostly a fan of the air hockey and skee ball but there's Frogger, Donkey Kong, pinball, and lots of other classic games. There is space for a party and soon to be installed beer tap options. It's a fun space, but it has to be the right amount of not too crowded so you can plan what you want and you have enough free time to feel you get your money's worth. It was fun to try, but it was a little on the expensive side under other circumstances. Still, I'm glad to see a new storefront option and if you grew up playing in arcades, this definitely hit a sweet spot.

Really great place! Unlimited play at the cost of $20. Very glad to have this kind of place in Bloomfield. I enjoyed the wide array of games. I will definitely be back on another occasion with friends.

There's a $20 all you can play retro arcade in Bloomfield, NJ and I have to say, I'm obsessed. I am a gamer at heart, especially when it comes to nostalgic games like Crazy Taxi and Mario Kart. There's over 50 classic arcade games including pinball, skeeball, air hockey, and more. The space is pretty cozy and they have a console room which is cool. They also have a coat rack plus cup holders around the arcade so when they open their beer and wine bar, it's convenient to hold your drink. I love how you can play games unlimitedly and not have to worry about tokens or refilling cards. Pay the $20 admission at the door or online. Definitely fun for a kid's birthday (they have party packages) or date night!

Had a great time! A blast from a past! Would love to check it out later in the night when the kids have gone. Looking forward to the bar too!

Bar opening soon

Such a fun addition to Bloomfield. Loved the dance dance revolution and some of the older arcade games. They have air hockey and are adding a bar soon but are BYOB for now. Will definitely be back soon.

There were lots of games: pinball, Skeeball, bubble hockey, air hockey, and more classic arcade games than I could count.

Once we were checked in, we were given a locker to store our belongings, which was convenient. The only thing I didn't like--and was a bit disappointed by--was that I had to seek someone out to let them know it was our first time so they could explain how to utilize the rooms, gain access, and understand exactly what needed to be done. A brief intro or automatic walkthrough for first-timers would have made the experience smoother. That said, the games themselves were extremely fun. Some were a bit complicated at first, but I loved that you can either verse the person you're with or work together as a team, which made it perfect for a date. Overall, a fun and unique experience with just a little room for improvement on first-time guidance.

I suggest coming on a weekday if you do not want to wait a minute or two for each game! You have 45 minutes for unlimited game access, with about 9-10 games to choose from. Each game only lasts 2-4 minutes tho, depending on the game. When entering, they provide a locker for any bags or items you want to place. They give you two wristbands (one for game access and the other for a locker of your belongings). The staff was so friendly. I was running out of breath and trying to rush to get our last game in and he told me to relax and have fun! The staff also takes the time to explain each game in the beginning and although it was busy, they definitely made the experience so much more fun. Some of the games are a bit complicated, and hard to understand even after the game explains it to you! My favorite was the grid. Me and my boyfriend made a tiktok about activate and it went viral! At the end, you can redeem your points earned for a prize. Me and my boyfriend got the keychain that also provides 10% off your next visit within the next 30 days. Definitely can NOT wait to come again!

The entry ticket purchased also gave access to bowling, bumper cars and several rides. Early arrival is suggested to avoid long lines. The food was very mid (carnival level), the drinks varied depending on which bar you got your drink from. The pool area was jammed pack.... Literally people standing on top of each other. We spent the majority of our time inside where we enjoyed ourselves the most. All in all we had a good time and would go back next summer.

The arcade is very big and there's a lot of options that would make little kids happy. It's a good place to bring younger kids to kill half a day in the arcades or other amenities, like for a morning and early afternoon run. Or just swing by for a couple of hours before lunch at the arcades and other little attractions there. I wouldn't say it's a more exciting way to spend the day than going to the attractions at American Dream or anything like that. But it's a great place for simple fun and enjoyment on a smaller scale if you don't feel like doing more than just keeping kids or teens occupied for a few hours.

Brought my mom and my sister along for a whole family affair (and found out my mom has some secret pool shark skills and is possibly better than me). This place is clean and spacious, and the front desk guy was very down-to-earth and a real charmer. My boyfriend says the equipment is very well-kept and that this was the best pool hall he's been to around the city. We got there in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was super chill. No liquor license here, which didn't phase me, because there's a $1 SODA VENDING MACHINE, IT'S LIKE I TRAVELLED BACK IN TIME :D Also, no kitchen (that addition would most definitely make this a top tier place), but they at least have a vending machine for snacks, and I believe it's BYOB. We ended up staying till about 8:30pm or so, and it got super lively! There is a jukebox, both a ping pong and skee-ball table in the back room, a darts machine that I was going to play but missed out on because there's something even better; A WHOLE GAME CONSOLE SETUP. Not like your run-of-the-mill bar, BIG BUCK HUNTER and a PacMan arcade game machines. A mini gaming lounge you'd find in a worthy collector's man-cave. Not just one console in front of a TV. I mean a mega jealousy-worthy array. With Sega, SNES, N64 (the flourescent ones!), PS4, X-Box (gag) and a whole slew of other systems, some of which I've never even laid hands on a controller for; (think there was even an Atari in there). Let's be real; places like Barcade are cool, but for retro gamers like me who didn't spend too much time in arcades, being able to do a run-through of Sonic, Super Mario World, or try and teach your sister Toejam and Earl (like I did) on a console at a commercial setting is BOSS. Very decent prices for pool. The more players you bring, the lower the price, so with 4 of us, it was about $7 pp/hour. I can't wait to come back!
