What a scam! We signed up our son for their camp and at 4:30p the Friday before camp they told us it was cancelled. This leaves our family in the lurch with no chance to find an alternate solution in time for Monday. When I called the manager he said they could have waited until Monday morning to tell us. I was having a good time with my date until I had to interact with most of the staff. They are grinches. The spot is Kind of outdated and a little dirty I'm kind of disappointed when I think about the bad customer service, everyone has an attitude in there except the cashier for the races. The arcade is okay. Didn't try the food because the host was a grinch. The guy who announces the races hates his job you can hear it in his voice. The girls were supposed to race too, but after one round (and a little crash ), they tapped out so my son ended up racing four times and had a blast! We also played some cool arcade games together and grabbed food. I had a burger and fries, and my daughter loved the fried dough with sugar. Great vibes, good food, and lots of laughs. Today around 4:00 PM, I went with my family after traveling about four hours. We bought tickets for two turns each, and everything was fine until it was our turn. It was my first time there so I bumped and the employee became very upset and started yelling at me. During my second turn I was driving without hitting anything, but he still seemed annoyed and continued being rude to me. Then, another child kept cutting in front of everyone to make them crash into him. When I tried to pass he suddenly moved in front of me, causing me to crash hard and hurt my neck. Even though it wasn't my fault, I was removed from the game and treated like I was the problem. The other employees were not rude, but this employee was, and I feel I was treated unfairly. read more

The place was clean. You can buy a package of races or do an a la cart. There are a variety of arcade type games. The races are about 8 min long. The karts are electric and the staff is really helpful and nice. It is a little pricey but worth the experience. read more

Never did indoor carts before. I did outdoor gas ones though. It's a nice race track, small and 8 laps. I think they link them together sometimes because there are two. $30 is a bit expensive a person a race, but it's fun for sure. They play really good music. Really gets you pumped. The arcade is wack. They upsold us at the cash register - $40 for credits will get you an extra $15 dollars in credits. We did it and then found out not all machines give you "points." Which you can redeem for prizes. Why not just say tickets? Who knows. I checked my card balance and it did not match up with the tickets I earned at the machine. I asked the staff and she said "the easy machines don't give points, only the hard ones." I gave her a blank stare. She was dead serious. How the hell am I supposed to know what is easy and hard without any of the machines being marked? That's so subjective. Not only do the "tickets" you do receive at the "hard" machines not add up to the amount of points you get (points are much less) you also have to guess which machines give you points!!! Mind blown. Poorly run!!! All in all the staff were very patient and knowledgable and helpful. One woman did give me the points that I thought I earned, so that was nice. But they really need to tell their customers up front about this system and mark the machines. It's very misleading. Also don't expect to eat here. On a Friday night no one was at the food counter and one measly burger sat on the hot plate, which I think was a burger but couldn't tell because all I saw was bun. Keeping in mind the arcade convoluted point system and really no food options, if you're into racing check this place out anyway because it is fun to race here. Not a place I would go back to multiple times though. And I got 4th!! read more

We visited here after many time seeing their signs on the Turnpike to try. Big space with plenty of arcade games and large track. The bar wasn't open when we were there but it might be later in the evenings. There is a space for parties in the back and good items to pick for your tokens. VR station wasn't available and the air hockey machine needs cleaning. Most of the staff there are nice but you get the one that doesn't have patience or have good customer service skills. But overall a good experience and we've returned already for a second visit. We will visit again in the future. Recommended! read more

What a chaotic and unorganized establishment! Geez... Also, STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE IF YOU HAVE PTSD. First off, their entire system for getting people into the go karts was a disaster. You had to listen for your number to be called, which was hard to hear over the loud music. Once your number was called, you had to stand outside the area where you enter to get a helmet until the staff is ready for you, but you end up being directly in the way of all the people exiting. They then usher you into a room to watch a video with all of the rules, one of them being NO BUMPING (as this is not bumper cars)... Our first race was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I was slammed into at least 5 times by other people and each of the 3 people I was with were also slammed into multiple times. It was TERRIBLE. And no one did anything about it! The staff continued to let these reckless teenagers slam their go karts into everyone else's with zero consequences. I have bad PTSD from car accidents but have raced go karts at other establishments where they do not tolerate this behavior and will remove the people from the course who repeatedly break this rule. So had I known ahead of time that this particular establishment would allow this behavior, I never would've wasted my money. After this awful race, I told the staff that people kept slamming their karts into mine and my friends and their response was "people will do that, there's nothing we can do about it". I was absolutely livid because no bumping is a rule! I did not participate in the second race I had paid for due to being very shaken up after the first race, so I asked for a refund. The manager was only able to give me a credit for a future race, which was basically a waste because I will never return. Also, this place is pretty dirty. I watched a staff member walk out of a bathroom stall after clogging the toilet and proceeded to do nothing about it. Very gross. The only positive thing I have to say is that the manager who assisted me with the credit was very polite, understanding and compassionate about my situation. I should've gotten her name, but she was on duty the evening of March 30th and I really appreciated how she handled my situation! read more

We took my son here for his birthday this past Friday. It was our first time coming. We all actually enjoyed this place. Loved the staff they all helped when needed or asked a question. My son really enjoyed his self. I liked that it wasn't over packed and it was cool inside and the food was ok. They made it how I asked. We will definitely go back again. Customer service I would rate 4/5. I see a lot of five star reviews but sadly, my experience was not amazing. Unfortunately it seems like we went on an "off day". It was over run by teenagers yet we came at opening during a weekday. Many of whom sat on the only working arcade games on their phones or hanging in the restrooms. The arcade is not huge at all and many games were out of service including the big attracted VR racing simulator. This entire facility has two stalls-at least in the small female bathroom. That's ridiculous and again teenagers were hanging in there. During the race we were explicably told not to ram into another driver, yet that happened multiple times. Was this worth an almost 2 Hour drive? Absolutely not. Is there room for improvement? Sure. I'm disappointed because I was torn between going to Supercharged in Edison and here- I really regret my choice. read more

This is my first time participating in an indoor go-cart racing. If you don't do the membership, it is $30 per person per race. You're also required to wear a headsock and those cost $3 each if you don't have one. They have locker rentals which goes for a few bucks, don't remember how much, as you're not allowed to have anything in your pockets. Overall a very fun experience. read more

Let's just get this out of the way immediately: I was lapped by absolutely everyone else (including my own kids and another young kid) when we raced. The workers made sure to wave the blue flag at me and another worker shamed me with the 'MOVE TO THE SIDE' sign. (I make no excuses for being a slowpoke fuddy-duddy "boomer" of a driver. Haste makes waste, dang it!) On the outskirts of Jersey City, in a nondescript industrial section of town, as we were pulled into the lot we weren't all that impressed. But as soon as we opened the doors to enter... POW! You felt like you might've stumbled into a Pixar movie or something. It's massive. It's loud. Lights are flashing everywhere. It's exciting. And there it is... the racetrack. Like the toy version probably every kid ever had growing up back in the day. But supersized. On steroids. Hulked up. Two levels! After all the boring 'adult' stuff (waivers, memberships, etc.) - it was time to don the balaclava, watch the safety video and get loaded into the (Italian-made) go-kart. And for that first lap or two? Loved it. Afterwards? Exactly like the toy sets from back in the day... it becomes a bit boring and routine (sort of like every adult's commute to work). The workers actually have control of your kart and speed and I understand that, but... And at $30 a ride/race for 12 minutes (that felt quicker than 12 minutes)... Post-race each of us had an issue (steering was too tough, legs too cramped, helmet uncomfortable) and my kids actually didn't have much interest in going again. On their website they also hyped up having "billiards" (something I really enjoy) but it ended up being just two (sad/busted) tables way off yonder. The arcade was solid though. Some of the staff we interacted with were all cool and helpful, others just itching to be anywhere but at work. A "one and done" adventure that just cost way too much without the payoff, unfortunately. read more

People with disabilities shouldn't be called out in a group and put on display for others to see their disabilities and that's exactly what the manager attempted to do to me. She humiliated me in front of others. Questioning my abilities, after I explained my capabilities was frustrating and insensitive. I know there are certain safety measures that must be taken, I completely get it. But does this happen with females that have a tummy and aren't pregnant? Do you make them prove they aren't pregnant to go on the go kart? I highly doubt it. Telling me to move my foot back and forth in front of a group of 25+ strangers was uncalled for. I went here with group to co-workers as a team building exercise and it turned out be a lot of fun. Fun place for kids and adults! 10 laps cost $30 bucks and is good enough time for beginners. They also have yearly membership that makes the experience even more economical. They have separate tracks for kids and Adults. It is best to go on weekdays to avoid long waits and get the large group of people on the same race/track. We ended up doing 20 laps all together and wait time between 2 races was about only 30 minutes. While you wait for Go Karts, you can check out a little arcade area or a food court. What I got: 1 Adult Race (~$35/person with taxes/fees): includes headsock Aya's take: This was my first time at RPM Raceway and we had a blast! We arrived at 5:30pm on a weekend and they told us it would be about an hour wait. We had driven all this way and decided to just stick it out. Upon signing up on the kiosk and paying with one of the workers, we walked around the arcade games and the food area. Our race wasn't called until 7pm (a bit later than their estimate). They're pretty strict about not having your phone or any belongings with you on the racetrack. I suggest leaving your belongings in your car instead of paying for a locker. Anyway, once we got on the raceway, it was a blast! It was exhilarating, exciting, and competitive. I loved the adrenaline rush it gave me and was thrilled to find out I won 2nd place overall in the race and 1st place among my group. I guess I'm good at go-karting, lol. Super fun, indoor activity to check out if you're in the JC area. read more

Visited August 29, 2023. First time there since the name change. Maybe it was just me, but the track seemed a bit shorter than at another place recently visited. Also, when there was an "incident", it seemed like the whole track was "slowed down" and not just the areas involved. Although the website implies there are adult beverages, didn't see any, and a few food items weren't available which was a downer since there was already a limited selection. This was my boyfriends and I, first time attending an RPM venue . We made our way from NYC, so we were happy when we realized there was more than enough parking available . Upon entering we quickly realized that the present staff was somewhat unengaged , and provided no real sense of direction. We signed waivers on iPads , and proceeded to pay at the registration counter . One race was approximately 60 dollars, which isn't terrible at all for 2 participants . We waited approximately 30 minutes for our race to begin , at which time we bought a 10 dollar game card, and began indulging in the games present . There weren't lines at all, which allowed us free reign pretty much. The arcade - style games seem to be relatively new . Once our race started we were instructed to place all belongings in a nearby locker, and retrieve a helmet . The instructor provided instructions and we we were off!! The race was a bit shorter than anticipated but still worth the money and was honestly a bit exhilarating. To be quite frank , I am happy I was able to experience this once , not entirely sure I would come again to this specific RPM venue though. Thank you for the hospitality ! read more

Took my 16 and 11 year old sons here for some family fun. My youngest had to use the rest room so I accompanied him. Shortly after a group of kids walked in and started acting disrespectful. Asking my kid stupid questions and calling me grandma. My son was very upset. I immediately told the workers and they responded by giggling. They did nothing. Seems like that place is run by a bunch of kids. Never again. Next time I'll go to Supercharged Entertainment. read more
