Bakers & Hale is a family favorite and an absolute must whenever I am in IL seeing family. The vibe…read moreis incredibly relaxed and very family friendly, ample space so you never feel crowded. The food is consistently good with generous portions, and the friendly service always makes the experience enjoyable. if your there during the live music, it's a really nice touch. Even though I come here all the time, for some reason I always forget the actual name and just refer to it as "Bangers and Mash." Luckily, my family always knows exactly whatI mean!

The other day I meet up with some of my cousins for Happy Hour. I cannot go wrong with one of the HH pizzas. Three of the six cousins, ordered pizza with different toppings. I went with the HH Taco's. I enjoyed Two Shrimp Taco's for only $7. The HH pizzas are $10. Three cousins went with the regular menu and enjoyed salads, chicken wings and chicken strips/tenders. Everyone was pleased with their food. The only thing keeping B&H from getting 5 Stars is the service. It's never consistent. One time it's over the top and the next time it's the bare minimum. It really depends on who you get as a server. The seasoned ones who have been for a long time, know how to work a table. The newer and younger ones, just don't get it. They don't hustle and as their station fills up, they get overwhelmed and everything goes downhill. When: January 7, 2026 Why: Happy Hour with the cousins

We picked this place to meet up with friends for lunch. The place is HUGE!! The vibe is minimalist…read moreroadside bar and grill. It felt very clean and well maintained. We waited maybe 10 minutes for a table on a Sunday afternoon. The service from everyone team member was friendly and prompt. The menu is extensive. We tried the catfish bites with a homemade dill forward tartar sauce and the fried green tomatoes with a spicy remoulade. They offer brunch on the weekends. We had pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. For the more savory palates, we ordered a burger, the ribeye, and the Capone. The burger was thick and juicy, the bun held up to all of the toppings. The ribeye sandwich is a full steak on a hoagie roll. The Boursin cheese made this a little too rich for me but an amazing sandwich nonetheless. The Capone is a burger interpretation of a parmigiana sandwich. Rich marinara, mozzarella cheese and grilled onions and mushrooms made for an amazing meal. We had a wonderful time. We plan to stop in again soon

The bar is very large so that's great. The tables in the back can be adjusted for large parties but the space next to them doesn't make it comfortable. The servers are quick and stay organized with their tables. I think the food is okay but it will always come out hot! I wish they would add more seasonings to their meals and perhaps more weekly specials.

What a cute place place to grab some food, wine or cocktail, and listen to live music! It was an incredibly hot evening, but I enjoyed a frozen peach sangria, which helped keep me cool. (The fans up there didn't work, so the frozen drink was almost a necessity.) My spouse and I split a flatbread pizza and a berry salad, too. The salad was fine--it needed a lot more nuts and a touch of salt. The flatbread, though, was REALLY delicious! The frozen sangria was great, too--sweet but not coyingly so. A friend I was with ordered one with a splash of red wine on top, making it a touch less sweet and more balanced, according to her. I'll try that next time. The winery closed earlier than I expected, but the musician was great. Copperdock was still a great place to spend an evening with friends or family. I recommend a visit!

Throughout our visit, someone from our table had to get up 4-5 times to get food or drinks and even take our checks and credit cards to the register ourselves in order to pay. I also ordered the charcuterie board for our table of four women to share because I was really craving some fruit. At over $22, I expected much more. The presentation looked as though it had been thrown together by a toddler, and the portion size was disappointing. The seven (plus one shriveled) whole grapes included certainly did not satisfy my fruit craving. For the price point, I expected better service, a more thoughtfully prepared charcuterie board, and a more enjoyable overall dining experience.
