I'm very pleased with the installation and with the carpet I received. There was a small problem with the guy who installed the carpet cracking mirrored closet doors. He came to me after it happened and told me and told me to call the office right away. I called the office and spoke with Michelle and Craig, and they did a great job handling the situation. 2016 Craig did carpet for our new home. His carpet guy came out and installed carpet alone. And RUINED the carpet. Craig contacted me and wanted to replace it. Only because I posted a bad review on Facebook. He would not deal with my girlfriend who actually paid him for the carpet in the first place. To this day the carpet has not been replaced. The carpet looks like it's 30 years old. Cut too short around the trim. Carpet wasn't stretched enough . Seams that you can see clear as day. Between the carpet to tile you step on the tack strip because his installer did not install the carpet properly. So we did not call them back for the upstairs when we were ready. Banter replaced the carpet for the upstairs and still looks brand new to this day. Craig was completely unprofessional about this situation. He hasn't held up to his word. The carpet needs to be replaced. We paid good money for carpet and it looks terrible! Would not recommend dealing with Craig. And to this day 2023 the carpet has not been replaced. He has yet to make it right. Terrible business man. Got me to take down a review and never held up his end of the deal. read more

We had two rooms done by Hometown and we are very happy with the carpet and the installers. They called us and told us that the install would be the next day between 10:30-12:00. I explained that we had a death in the family and so many things to do and asked if they could move us up to first thing in the morning. When they saw what we were going through they agreed to move us up to early morning. Great carpet, great install and very understanding people. read more

We are having three rooms of flooring put in today. All the material was delivered when promised and installation started on time also. One room was done in two hours by one installer, CJ. Even though he had to tear up a small portion of the room because of a misunderstanding of the direction of the flooring, he still did a perfect job. A friend of ours had new carpet installed a few months ago and it was gorgeous. He recommended Hometown so my husband and I went in to look. I was concerned about all our living room and dining room furniture having to be moved, but I was reassured that this would be no problem. We picked out the carpet that we liked, put down a deposit. The installers came yesterday and I couldn't be happier. They moved what needed to be moved, pulled up the old carpet and did a wonderful job laying the new. I tossed it around for quite some time whether to write a review or not, because the service alone would have made me never go back so why bother. I went to purchase carpet for my home. They lost any future business that day by the constant reminders that what I was looking at was going to cost a lot of money. Clearly I know what my budget is and to try to talk me out of what I actually wanted because of cost is not very smart on their part. I'm not even going to touch on the ignorance that is their salesperson, because he alone caused me never to refer anyone or to shop there again. I did in the end purchase carpet for 3 rooms of my home because all the additional I wanted that they implied I couldn't afford I will get elsewhere. Long story short the day comes that the carpet I ordered is to be put in. The man installing the carpet was very friendly and worked extremely fast for being alone. From just glancing in to what we started with and what we finished with the carpet looked beautiful. Fast forward a few days later and I started to notice small mistakes made regarding the cutting of the carpet and the installation. It was nothing that my guests would notice, but we did. That is why at first I decided not to write a review and just to never return, despite having much more new flooring to put down in my home. Well here we are a few months later my carpet is not even stretched all the way to the tile. Now that the carpet has been walked on, despite it being a small Gap still causes you to occasionally smash a toe into the tile because the transition is terrible. While dusting the trim around the floor, I noticed more gaps between the carpet and the trim causing me to be able to see my subfloor. Now that the window coverings have been replaced and more light is getting into the areas I had carpet installed, clear as day you can see where one piece of carpet meets the next in two different places from one end of the room to the other. The carpet alone was not by any means the cheapest that they carry, yet my carpet is full of long clear plastic strings sticking out. Then after a more than generous tip to the installer I find out that he's actually not even an employee of the store but somebody they just hire when they are going to do the job themselves. A "contractor".. so no one from the business even so much as stepped into my house to check to see if the installation was done properly. Over time we found more and more errors in the carpet that now stand out like a sore thumb especially the seams where one piece meets the next. Not only can you see the line between two pieces of carpet but there is a bump across the entire line where it is slightly raised. I spoke to two other flooring places and told them exactly what we had purchased. They agreed that it is not a poor quality carpet and that by no means should we have gaps and lines and so many plastic threads coming out. I am now stuck with almost $2,000 worth of poorly installed carpet by some random person they paid to put it in. And the Beautiful tile that I had picked out there, I will have to find something comprable since they did not think I would be able to afford it. That is not looking out for a customer, that is losing business by assuming what I wanted was out of my league. So the other eight rooms of my home as well as my entire basement will be done by professionals that actually work at the store I purchase from. I will spend my money elsewhere and in the meantime figure out how to fix the mistakes that were made already. read more
