Typical…read moreof CrossFit gyms (or boxes in their lingo), the coach led workouts feature a great variety of Olympic type lifts (dead lifts, clean & jerks, squats...), body weight movements (pull ups, push ups, ring dips...) and locomotion (running, box jumps, rowing...). A usual work out consists of 5 - 10 minutes of warm up, a review of techniques to be used, then a high intensity workout lasting between 10 and 20 minutes. Several coaches are on hand to offer assistance with technique and encouragement. The primary coaches (Caroline & Drew) do a great job of teaching the fundamentals to get the most out of the exercises and, most importantly, keep safe. There are numerous other trained coaches who help out during peak times. There's good diversity in the membership's ages and abilities, but surprisingly little "attitude". You can push yourself as much as you want. You can have friendly competition with others or just work on personal bests. The box is definitely not a glossy, chromed & mirrored gym, but for those looking to get in shape for sports or just general life, it hard for me to imagine a better option.

There is space, and there is more than enough equipment for everyone (which has been a problem I've had to deal with for years at other gyms). I love the environment there because the people who go there seem to understand gym etiquette and I'm impressed with the fact that this gym has kettle bells and 2 dumbbell racks instead of just 1. I really wish I never had to leave this gym, but I'm moving away so now I guess I have to find somewhere else replace it.

Long story short, DO NOT COME HERE, THEY SCAM, SUPER EXPENSIVE, AND DONT ACTUALLY TEACH. I cant express how bad this gym is, please stay away like its the plague. The best thing about this CrossFit gym is the community and the members of 304. From day one when I first walked in they were all so pleasant and friendly. It makes doing the workouts fun with everyone encouraging each other on. It doesn't matter what fitness level you are at each movement can be modified to your ability. This is a high-energy no-judgements class of fitness and fun. There is no boxing opponents or…read moresparring in a ring. It's heavy bags, mitts, speed bags, jump ropes, and camaraderie. There is a slower techniques class where Freddie teaches boxing combinations and footwork basics. The next session includes music, cheering, and sweating. The format is circuit workouts with four stations; station 1 is boxing mitts and heavy bags, station 2 is active recovery with a dip/pull-up station, water bags, aerobic steps. You can also opt to run a lap around the block. Station 3 is active recovery and has battle ropes, weights, kettle bells, and yoga mats. Station 4 is active recovery and has speed bags, stationary bikes, jump ropes and a tire flip. You spend 3 minutes at each station and go through 4-5 cycles. You go as easy or hard as you want during active recovery but be ready to get your heart rate up when you get to the mitts and heavy bags. There are all ages, fitness levels and body types in these classes. Everyone treats each other like family and support each other with no judging. There is a kids' class and they occasionally have an after-dark blacklight party class that is a blast. If you like to exercise or just want to try something different for fitness, this is the place for you. It's friends, fun, and fitness all rolled up into an hour that seems to be over too soon.

A familymember and my physical therapist both recommended Mary Louise King, because she has a personal training and workout regimen designed for people 60+ who have health concerns, but still need to exercise. I can't say enough about how good she is. A lot of the exercises can be done while seated, and it's a pretty thorough and balanced workout. My heart and adrenaline really get going! Our song choice paired with a rumba style dance. We just got married yesterday 11/2/24 and started lessons back in September. It was amazing learning from them, Kind, thoughtful, encouraging, and talented are some of the words I'd use to sum up our experience with Mary Louise and Jim. Everyone loved our dance they went absolutely wild for it. Such an amazing addition to our wedding it made it that much more memorable!!
