Foor $60, we reserved a king size room, which had a microwave, a mini fridge, great wifi and cable TV (important as I don't typically sleep well and use the TV to fall asleep). They also had a continental breakfast room with OJ, coffee, fruit, yogurt and honey buns. As a person with insomnia, I have to tell you, I had the best night's sleep that I'd had in ages! The mattress was comfortable, and the bedding was so soft and smelled fantastic (I'm aware that sounds weird, but I have sensory issues...so much so that I spoke to the owner in the morning when we checked out about where she purchased the bedding and the type of laundry detergent they use.) When we checked in, they recommended a local restaurant for dinner, the Sundown Bar & Grill, and I am so glad we went to dinner there! I cannot recommend this motel more! From their friendly staff, and comfortable rooms, to their fun decor and beautiful grounds (picnic tables & Adirondack chairs), I will definitely stay here again when we travel through this area. Additionally, there is a small pub that serves only wine and beer. It's small and intimate. There are about five tables. The rooms are well-maintained, and I love that they keep everything eco-friendly. For example, they only change bedding every three days during your stay unless you request otherwise.

They were extremely accommodating of my varying schedule, leaving coffee out beyond the typical clean-up time. I'll stay here again when I'm overnighting in Iowa City. This Location failed me in all the COVID turmoil. Made reservations and paid for accomodations…read morealmost 8 months in advance. This was in 2019 prior to anyone knowing what COVID was. In April of this year the reality of what we faced as a nation made it necessary to cancel the late June 2020 reservation. Landmark liked my money so much they told me in no uncertain terms there was to be no refund. 'Read the fine print' was the retort. Curt and uncomprisingly. This is my opportunity to share this with you now. Buyer beware. I, as a fellow businessman feel that the Landmark business ethics are compromised. Won't ever find me giving their attitude anymore of my money. Earned or unearned!
