After having him inspect my property, I can confidently say he's the real deal -- an excellent home inspector. At the time he didn't have any reviews or any photos on this listing, so it was a bit of a shot in the dark. Craig was extremely communicative and quite punctual, despite coming from far up north. He was very responsive over phone and email and that alone made him worth working with. With regards to the inspection itself, Craig was very meticulous in pointing out areas throughout the property that needed attention. He provided a detailed report, which came with photographs, and detailed descriptions of his findings. Forest was able to come out the next day and perform the inspection even though it was the 4th of July weekend. He called me after the inspection to give me some of the highlights of the inspection. I had the report first thing Monday morning. I called Forest after going over the report with questions I had. Forest spent at least 30-45 minutes with me explaining the inspection and areas I should be concerned with. Based on the inspection, I feel I saved at least $20K in repairs which would of been required to make the house safe for future tenants. I terminated the contract with the seller. The Vice President of the company put in writing a 3 week project completion date into which, 4 months later, the project had to be completed by another contractor. This ordeal was frightening and stressful for my family and the many individual subcontractors, which had no clue what they were suppose to work on. Delays, no shows and excuses for 3 months, I wish I had seen the Katy G review from 6/12/2014 because it was the exactly same type of operation. We had our roof replaced in Oct 2008 when IKE hit the area. The work was done well and we were…read morepleased. A few years later, small leak and Paul was quick to respond, take a look and make some repairs at a minor cost. 10 years later, we are selling and the buyers inspector has a roofing company come out and they recommend a whole new roof and that the shingles are defective and will only last 1-2 years. I text Paul with details, he calls me back within 30 minutes, has my file and looked at the inspection report. He has Ted come out within 3 hours, gets on the roof and documents any issues which defunct the issue that the shingles were in bad shape at all. The roof will last another 7-8 years. Knowing our option period ends next day, Ted heads to the office and produces an estimate, clearly documents the roof is in good shape and outlines how we can transfer the warranty to the new owner after close. I was very happy with the quick response, the quality of their assessment and the timeline of producing what we needed to educate the buyer. Thanks Paul and Ted.
