So naturally we wanted to bring the grandkids here while we were visiting. The previous owner was Teri and she made it enjoyable to shop there. She would always engage her customers in conversation. Sweet Sweet Lady! The new owner is the polar opposite She was the rudest person I have met in Sainte Genevieve so far. OMG ! We tried talking with her and she literally just stared at us. So Rude. Everyone in the group noticed We kicked ourselves for spending our money in there. The candy is Stale, Marshmallow candy was rock hard, Just about broke a tooth on the Malt Balls SAD! Think twice before going in here She is not appreciative of the customers that come in and spend money in the shop. In reading all of the negative comments about Sweet Things it looks like everyone who goes in and gives negative reviews have dealt with the Owner that runs and operates this business, so it is her they are reviewing as being poor customer service.

If you need ice cream go to the gas station and buy it out of the freezer case.

Last visit we got a special box together for a milestone birthday party - candy from the 40's. This visit, I snagged a box of candy cigarettes for a joke, lemonheads, sweet and sour charms sucker, and red-hot candy dots. The owner is super enthusiastic about candy, and really is the best to mix in with the customers. She is pretty cool. I knew the freeze-dried candy next door had moved somewhere else and on this visit the connection between the two spaces has been opened up and the cutest space is now occupying that side.
