Sales pitch was polished and a good experience but on rails with no room to talk about job particulars. However, the quote for our roof and gutters (house and garage) was substantially higher (2x) than others in our area. Fair enough, if that's their price that's the price. Would probably have been more since the quote didn't include everything we talked about. Where I took issue with our brief interaction was their pointed claims of only they "do it right" and effectively shaming our choice when letting them know we are going with somebody else. Wish I had just ghosted them. Others we have worked with were a pleasure to deal with and professional. I am very disappointed in this company. We have used them for siding and windows. Spent literally thousands of dollars with them. The siding was a disaster the subcontractor they hired was terrible and later was let go. However they claim to have a "lifetime warranty" "no matter what happens" I was informed that this is not true by an employee and that they would charge me 125 base price to come out and 75 per hour after that to fix my siding, because it was damaged by "an act of God and they don't cover those". I was told to contact my homeowners and file a claim. I will not be using this company ever again. read more

. After the mitigation company came in and found that there was still a ton of wet drywall, insulation and flooring we told Homezone we needed to move forward with insurance. The insurance adjuster came out to our home and was dumbfounded that anyone would have thought that $2,500 was a reasonable offer, we settled with insurance for $13,000 and we have had no contact from Homezone since we said we wanted to move forward with an insurance claim. After going through everything we have and having Homezone employees in and out of our home and comparing the reviews with the business cards I have collected from them I see why they have decent reviews, because they are all from employees. I would not recommend Homezone to a single soul. I think their customer service is absolutely awful and the fact that we never received as much as a sincere apology blows my mind. They have even continued to send auto-mated emails and letters asking for reviews and referrals. I have never worked with a company as unprofessional as Homezone and I hope that no one else falls victim to their claims of excellent customer service. We went with Homezone to have our roof replaced even though their price was higher than other companies because the employee who came to our home to do our quote was very nice, he was professional and seemed to be well educated on the product. He showed us that they were licensed and insured, which was obviously important to us. When we asked if all the work was done by in-house employees, he confidently told us yes, we have come to find out that all of the roofing work is subcontracted which if we knew to begin with, we would not have used them. To wrap it up, Homezone started our roof on February 7, 2023, by February 9, 2023, we had a flooded kitchen, crawlspace, and sunroom with not even as much as an apology before offering an amount that was truly a slap in the face at negotiations and the only thing that was consistent throughout the entire process was their unprofessionalism. I would not recommend Homezone to anyone. Today is April 16, 2023, and I am still dealing with the mess that Homezone created. My job was a large and very expensive job, I had 33 windows replaced and 5 doors replaced. I expected there would be some issues, but nothing compared to the issues I have had with them and their lack of concern for my issues. One of the main doors they installed, the lock did not work so I was unable to lock my home for almost 2 months before they actually fixed it. Another door (storm door) the handle kept falling off even after they "fixed" it several times. That took about 3 months to get fixed. They ordered the wrong piece of glass for a window that was cracked on install, that took almost 4 months to fix. They put a brand new screen in that had a huge tear in it, there is no way they did not see that while installing and instead of telling me they would come back & replace it they just didn't say anything. I have 3 windows that from the inside I can see the spray foam insulation on, I have been trying to get that fixed, they have sent guys out 3 times now to see what they need to fix it. All they need is a piece of trim to nail up just like they did for the 30 other windows in my home. Why is it so difficult to get good quality customer service. I had a 3 glass panel door put in and was assured of its high quality but the sliding screen door that came with it is a piece of crap. It doesn't slide easily and has a tiny handle that is difficult to grab. I've had to fix the screen on it twice!! So many other issues and what do I get from the owner...I am sorry, let me look into this and I will get back to you. That was over a month ago and my issues are still not fixed and every time I call, they are out of the office. I need to get my roof replaced in the next year or two and was hoping to be able to use them for that, but I will definitely NOT be using this company ever again, I DO NOT recommend them. I had already referred a friend who was looking to get a door replaced and have since told her not to use them. ETA: 9 months out from initial install: newest issues 1. 11 windows replaced in my sunroom all of them are leaking!! I have puddles of water on a wooden bench under one bank of windows, and water streaks running under all of the other windows!! 2. A piece of glass in one of the sunroom windows has a crack which I did not cause, the sunroom is closed up in the winter. I've been in this house for 6 years and never had a window spontaneously crack on its own! Ordered the new glass through the company 6 weeks ago after calling for 3 days to get an update on when the glass would be in, I found out it was never ordered. There's that great quality service again! 3. One of the sliding screen doors had a part just fall out of it when it was opened this weekend. Looks they were scoping my house out to break in. I met them at the door with my gun visible on my side. I tried not to choose any stars and if I could pick negative stars I would put them at a solid -5 or more. We had a storm door and gutters with leaf guard installed last fall. First of all it took them over 4 months to get the "custom" door and install it which when it finally showed up wasn't even close to the right size for the opening. Second when they first were supposed to show up to install new gutters (instead of just adding a leaf guard to the existing perfectly functional ones) they never showed up and didn't even show us respect by calling to let us know. Once they finally did show up and installed the new gutters they did a totally poor job and the new gutters are leaking on the house side. Ultimately my sump pump failed and I believe it was due to the totally unsatisfactory work this company has done. Now I am fighting with them to get things done right but I think this is a lost cause and will ultimately end up with litigation in court. Just today my wife spoke with the schedule manager and he ended up hanging up on her. This company has shown no respect for their customers and are only interested in putting in a jury rigged band-aid to problems they have caused. Important lessons learned, #1 NEVER hire anyone that just shows up knocking on your door selling services no matter what. #2 Avoid this company like the plague they are, they have no respect for their customers whatsoever and especially for honorably discharged veterans like myself! read more

After purchasing a $25k roof, I have had to have this company out 5-8 times for poor craftsmanship since the install in January. Even after that many visits and repairs I still have issues with the quality of work. I have drip edges that are bowed out, caulk lines that are half caulked, ridge cap that has more gaps than my previous, and this is only what I can see from the ground. They did a very poor job on cleanup also. I would never recommend or use again. Neighbor used Homepro three months after me and his roof is perfect and it was thousands cheaper. As a consumer, you expect that the professionals who were paid to do the job would do it correctly and not have to have this many visits. read more

We had HomeZone quote two windows in the front of our house in November 2021. We were told that they could not replace the windows with the same size windows (floor to ceiling) which is so untrue. We were given the wrong colored windows with brown on the outside and white on the inside and told the white will never go away. We originally had brown windows, which had brown on the outside and inside. So if they could make these kind of windows 30 years ago, Im sure things have advanced since then. They convinced us we needed Masonary work to cover up the rest of the window they couldn't install, and put Masonary work up with no flashing or anything. Brick right onto the plywood. Same as the windows, the windows were not wrapped with anything just screwed in. It's now been a year and a half and still the job has not been done for two windows! The cost for this job was almost $20,000 for two windows. The owner came to help with the quote and we as senior citizens, were taken advantage of. My husband has hearing problems but made it very clear what we wanted and we still didn't get it. They didn't even have the home inspected by our local township until we brought it up. Now they have to open everything up so the township inspector can see they did it wrong. We thought we were giving a local Michigan company a chance and instead we were taken advantage of big time! read more

I had a roof put on. They did not do a complete tear off so now my gutters do not work. Water runs over my gutters because they would not adjust my gutters. If they would have done a complete tear down my gutters would have worked just fine. They want me to buy new gutters from them. read more

Completely unsatisfied and disappointed. Hired for siding and roofing. The company has terrible communication and without a doubt does not care about the customer. After completion of the job which took about 8 months, we had leaks, 2. They left us with standing and leaking water for over 5 weeks before they came to address the issue. Which once again continued to leak. We were patient and understanding throughout the entire process. What made us most disappointed was how they rarely stood by their appointments and would only come to address the problems after NUMEROUS calls and voice mails left. Had $ 17616 vinyl siding project. Down payment was june 26 2020. Project started September till sept 20 one man for 2 weeks.then family helped . no helper no laborers. Trash bin removed before project completed. Things taken off my home not put back on . piping meters hose outlets . insulation left visable. Corner cut not flush gaps let open not caulked.lighting not attached front porch an garage.boxes and 31 insulation board left in my yard blew all over for days. Climbed my 63 yr old but up a 23 feet in air to caulk and put metal in gaps caused my incorrect cut. . not sure if the metal around windows where suppose to be caulked? NOT ! THINGS. That where minor detail not takin care of. I talked to finance lady. Not saying any names but can. She said hed be there next day 3 days went by . felt like i was begging for final small repairs to be done . texted salesman 3 times he promised it would be taking care of. NOT. FINALLY AFTER numerous attempts. I called sider i ask to set a tentative date for repairs? He response ( sure del i will be there on monday at 8am. I wont go to any of my other jobs!
