Going back and forth speaking to the "general manager/owner" of hon graphics. You can see here that I inquired about getting a couple of vinyl piece's printed (vinyl material not paper). Understanding the issues at hand where they did not understand the acronym for not safe for work or safe work which is perfectly fine. I did explain the information, and was asked for a file. I did mistakenly send the wrong type of file to the printer but all they had to do was clarify to me that I sent the wrong file format for their setup. Also for each different printer place that you take your designs to different printers, they can take different file formats and they may process the design differently to set up on their type of file formating or printer format. Upon being told that they weren't able to take on my project with no explanation I decided to call in and ask why. Rae is super unprofessional the whole call I asked about why the project wasn't being accepted I said was it because of the NSFW content they said no it was along the lines of I didn't provide them with the file format and didn't clarify at the very beginning of my email and stating what I specifically needed with images. (Since it's my fault he mixed up vinyl printing verses their paper printing) the head of the email states vinyl printing. While understanding that the price quote may vary due to kiss cuts / die cut designs having multiple steps for it I did send a Tiff. file that most print/digital media places would have softwear that's readable, I made the mistake and just lacked the AI file format for them to do so on the printer . (Which again some print shops have a file set up fee for doing that for the inquiring customer ). He did not once tell me any information if they provided that or if An Ai, PSD, file etc would be acceptable. ~This is over the phone Upon talking to him over the phone after asking about the NSFW Content being the issue he bacame agrovated and defensive after i asked to speak to the owner he said "all you want to do is listen to yourself and Mumble and keep on going on instead of getting to the point of the email and where it's my fault that you didn't clarify what type of print style that I needed done. He said if you knew better you would know what type file to send to me. It's very fustrating to talk to someone who doesn't know what their doing." "Your not listening to me all you want to do is just say what you want." "How bout that ok? I'll just respond to you that way in that style!?" I did tell them I would make a review of this conversation, which he replied "Go ahead I'll take care of it there because your the issue." (With more than one witness to this situation) I understand being fustrated but as you can see in the emails I did ask from the get go from Vinyl printing. Not paper printing. Realistically if this is how you will talk to someone with no graphics backgrounds and yell and swear at people inquiring about work with you then you should go somewhere else! read more

I sent over a 4 sheet project and was charged $16.75. explanation was $5 for opening file $5 for it being 4 different pages. it was sent as a zip file. New Kid on the Block Located in the heart of growing and modernized Kakaako sits Hon Graphics. You would have a hard time missing them because the exterior of their building is a funny orange color and graphics that visually pop up. My job was a small job; relative to what this company can do; that said, I am writing about the service, timeliness and quality for price of the job of plain ordinary copies. (Yes, I have my own copy machine but this duplication ran into the 100's by count; single sided, double sided and the list goes on) $.05 single sided; $.04 double sided 8 1/2 x 11 regular copies was what I was charged; compared to their copy competitors and while I won't mention names; the competition charges double that page price. Service was excellent and my job was completed in no time flat. While I'm not sure; I believe the owners of this place are on the floor dealing with the actual production and customer service; something not seen often in this day and age. The location, while new (is clean) and the equipment that lined the floor was pretty impressive. I'm sure you can get almost anything you want done there. The industry of signs and banners has progressively improved and advanced to machines generating your art compared to the 30 years ago process of a "human" hand painting or silk screening your banner or sign. This most recent time I sent an email for a super last minute job for an event that I had this past weekend (09/14) I needed 2 signs to be printed for Diner en Blanc and Larsen came to the rescue and printed them out for me.
