It was a blood clot. But she lives an hour away, wait til morning. Another nurse needs to be put in her place about boundaries. A person's home is a person's home. If nurse arrives early not time for visit means exactly that not time for visit. It doesn't mean push past the owner and enter home. And if one is coming to do a dressing then one should bring dressings not depend on family to supply items. Best day was when they refused to continue our care. Yes I was nasty to the nurse, who said I dont deserve to be treated like this....well as home owner I dont deserved to be pushed past and enter my home, when told not time for your visit. We found this out after our family member was hospitalized after passing out for 5 hours. When we confronted the caregiver and asked them not to continue for the sake of the patient, she refused to tell her no and said they would get the alcohol anyway. When we contacted HomeInstead, they acted like they were unaware of the issue even though we have made it clear to keep a record of their history and they refused to take any responsibility for their employee. HomeInstead is looking the other way and we plan to hold them accountable.
