After I filed a complaint, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued a 48-page Statement of Deficiencies citing failures including not following physician orders and medication-related deficiencies. These findings are public record. During those 41 days there were three Executive Directors (DJ, Tammy, and Heather). The Head of Maintenance (Luis) also left. When I moved my parents out, I confirmed a zero balance. Our sales agent had represented one free month. After move-out, Katherine Schachter (Regional Director of Operations) and Mark McBride (Chief Operating Officer) provided written assurances regarding credits and refunds. However, full billing statements were not provided until February 26, 2026 -- five months later -- After my parents had already moved out, we received two phone calls delivering the same recorded message from Heather (Executive Director) identifying by first and last name an Independent Living resident who had died by suicide. I reported this as a potential privacy concern. Based on our documented experience, I do not recommend HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Assisted Living. The response to my post is to contact HarborChase. No I gave you 5 months to correct your mistakes. Give my parents their money back!! You violated both the medical and financial part of the contract!

We first met Pat and Michael on their wedding anniversary and they canceled their plans to take my mom in their lovely home the same day. They provided snacks and healthy home cooked meals, activities to help keep my mom and other residents engaged, and top notch care around the clock. Pat & Michael rented a van over Christmas and took my mom out to see the pretty lights. They celebrated her birthday with flowers, presents and decorated their house. During a hurricane warning, they invited my dad to come stay with them. My family and I were always welcome to visit and stay however long we wanted. They regularly sent us pictures and texts to let us know how my mom was doing, which was really sweet. Being in a private, loving home is so much more welcoming than a sterile facility. Towards the end of my moms life, Pat was feeding my mom every meal and trying to keep her as comfortable as possible. They treated my mom and family with kindness and respect, and we are forever grateful. I can't say enough great things about Pat's Serenity Home Care. I deliver food for Meals on Wheels every Wednesday and never once have they dropped the ball in any way. Every person working in the organization that I have met is caring and compassionate. The attention to food quality blows me away. They strictly follow a protocol that is impressive. The hot and cold food temperature is checked and rechecked before being placed into appropriate travel containers for my use. The containers are cleaned after every use. Sanitation is very important. The entire organizations concern over the well being of those being served is honorable. Everybody on the food delivery route is known and cared for by name. A wellness check is a priority along with a hot and cold meal. This is a great organization and one that asks each volunteer to commit to one year of service. It is a worthy cause and this is an awesome place to be involved with.

The facility was wonderful but he missed the Jewish culture he was used to -having lived in the Bronx, Westchester County NY and Boynton Beach. Jewish Pavilion brought that part of his life back to him with Yiddish classes, personal visits, Shabbat, holiday celebrations and also pet therapy. JP was also a great help to me - I felt like I had extended family helping me through his last years. This is a vital service for seniors and their families in Central Florida.

He is under Hospice care at this time and the family works with the Doctors and Nurses to coordinate the best care for Dad.
