YOU SHOULDN'T GET A SINGLE STAR IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION. My husband and I purchased a 2013 GMC Acadia Wednesday (10/30/24). We spent all day in the building, and waiting for the car to be inspected before it was taken off the lot. They sent the Acadia to Anthony Highway to be inspected. David from Honey bee had called to let us know the inspection was finished and we were able to come pick up the acadia. When we got to Honey Bee to sign paperwork and take the car home, David pushed my husband into trying to buy a car warranty before we left. We noticed a couple little things that were not working properly but due to being a buy here pay here we didn't complain too much. 72 hours later the car shut off, upon turning back on the engine shook, clanking around and having little to no power to drive the vehicle home safely. We took the Acadia to Anthony Highway to be diagnosed and the Owner of Honey Bee stated he would pay for the diagnostic. We found out the acadia needed an engine replacement. The owner of Honey Bee agreed to pay for the engine since we didn't have the car long enough for the warranty to kick in. It's now 11/11/24 and I called Anthony Highway again this morning to get an estimated time for the engine. Jeff explained on the phone they purchased engines for the Acadia but he had told David WEDNESDAY 10/30 NOT TO SELL THE CAR DUE TO AN ENGINE MALFUNCTION. INSTEAD WE WERE TOLD THE CAR PASSED GREAT AND THERE WERE ZERO PROBLEMS. My husband and I called Honey Bee again this morning demanding the owners information because at this point we no longer want the vehicle. When my husband called to speak to the manager, David stated he doesn't have to give out information and Honey Bee Auto Sales legally doesn't have to fix our engine exploded Acadia. We spent $3,000 THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE TO PLACE OUR CHILDREN IN A SAFE VEHICLE. INSTEAD, THEY LET US TAKE AN ACADIA THAT 72 HOURS LATER, BLEW UP. These guys are class acts! I purchased a vehicle from them and shortly after some unfortunate things happened and I was in an accident with in 12 hours of purchasing the vehicle. These guys went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was treated fair and worked on getting the matter resolved. David is a great guy and really has the best interest of his customers. This is a buy here pay here so you should know that your not getting a car with 0 miles in the dash. However, the vehicles are reliable and in good condition. This place is the worst place to buy used vehicles. They do not disclose any issues or concerns with the vehicle, so you are left thinking and believing that the vehicle was well maintained to resell to the consumer with a product they can stand by. This whole thing about as - is is fine, but other well known car sales centers actually disclose issues that would need to be addressed if you purchased the vehicle. That is the professional and honest way of doing business . Its deceptive, rude and unacceptable. I bought a 2008 Hyundai Santé fe with 110,000 miles in July 29, 2021. It was overpriced and not worth $ 9000.00. Just 4 months later it was in the shop for a timing belt, gasket covers, gasket reseal, spark plugs and cost $ 1900.00 to fix and in November the gear shift went and spent another $1600.00. Found out that the 4wheel drive lock button never worked so I never had 4 wheel drive but found out when I hit a parked car in the last storm because my breaks failed. I spent $13,000 on this awful vehicle. But it gets worse. Before I new how bad it was, I was stupid enough to buy a second vehicle from them and now have 2 car payments. I was vulnerable and naïve and they had a red convertible Volvo C-70 2008 with 103,576 miles on it. Little did I realize that this vehicle was also in bad shape. The battery went in 2 weeks and cost $ 570.00 and took it to Volvo. The electronic key does work, and you can't remotely lock or unlock or set the alarm. Dealer told me that a mechanism in the passenger door needs to be fixed at would probably cost close to $1700.00, and was quoted 900.00 for a tune up. I feel stupid that I did not check to see if the remote worked, but I am sure that the sales associate new this and just didn't tell there customers. So at this point I had already paid $5500.00 on the vehicle and had a balance of 3800.00. I called them and advised that I could not afford the payments and that I needed to return the vehicle. They were nice enough to release my contract and I was no longer responsible for the balance. So I wrote it off as a huge mistake and a financial loss. But this is the kicker, so in 2 weeks my car was now for sale again on their lot with a 4000.00 payment needed. If this is not crooked I don't know what it. If they sell this car again, they made $5500.00 from me and going to sell the car again for 9500.00 Its sickening. Good customer service would have been to at least give me $ 1000.00 credit on my other vehicle for all the anguish and stress I went through. Buyer beware !!! This place does however get thumbs up for the option for no finance and are lenient on late with payments. UPDATE: Once the Hyundai was totaled, I went and I bought a beautiful 2020 Convertible Mustang with 61,000 miles for $ 21,000 and an extended warranty, with Gap insurance , and 5 year tire protection. Honey Bee Auto in Waynesboro is a great place to get a nice vehicle at reasonable prices with exceptionally low payments and they even have a layaway plan...yes, I said layaway. My husband and I both bought our cars here and picked them BOTH up this week...the salesmen are polite, knowledgeable about the inventory and are up front about anything wrong with the inventory. If I could give this any less the a single star a definitely would. I purchased a vehicle from here a few months ago after being told how great of a car it was and after test driving other cars that had many issues that they tried to cover up and say was nothing. None the less I needed a car badly so I bought the one I thought had the least issues. I drove the car for not even a month before I needed a new battery after being told I had a new one, new alternator, and a new transmission. They lied to my face and ended up costing way more than I even paid for it. Had to have it towed twice and lost my job because of it. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere and don't listen to the people saying this is a great place because you can learn from my mistakes. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE bought a car in december...it started having trouble with the transmission in the first MONTH it had the manufacturers filter on it and it was a 2000! those need changed at LEAST Annually. paid 6k for the car and a new transmission is 4.5k trust me just go somewhere else these people arnt worth it. read more

well if I could rate this place any less I sure would!! I purchased a Chevy Blazer from them in June of 2018 not even two months later it blew up with my two young children in the vehicle. They first made me take it to a shop of their choosing but I had to pay that tow bill, I took it to the shop and the shop owner stated he has complaints from them all the time he took one look at the blazer and told us right away it wasn't able to be fixed. I went to honey bee and told them that and they stated that they needed to hear from the shop, the shop called them and told them they could try a new alternator and they shop told them to do so but this did not solve the problem and I was without a vehicle for 2 weeks while this was being done! Once they got word it could not be fixed they did not offer me my money back (said they can't) they offered to put me in another vehicle with the same down payment which they only had 3. My husband and I looked at all 3 and they all had check engine lights on which we know wont pass MD inspection (which is where we live). They placed me in a mini van that's inspection died that month, had a cracked windshield and the electric back passenger door did not properly open or close. I took it to have it Maryland inspected and of course it failed Andrew was told about this and was to have his boss call, but go figure he NEVER called! My husband and I finally went in and talked to Andrew and he stated " well it's a van it has another door" umm really??? He was super rude the whole time. The Owner Chris called me back the next day and basically said screw you as soon as anything was mentioned about a lawyer it was well were going to repo your vehicle, a co-worker of mine just had the same problem and got their down payment back and I was told that was different and a hang up! I bought a Chevy venture from Honeybee in June 8, 2016, two weeks later the van broke down. it had a blown head gasket, bad control arms, broken gas gauge, broken speedometer. This was not disclosed to me at purchased. It was towed to The mechanic said this van will never pass Maryland state inspection and should have never passed the Pennsylvania state inspection due to safety violations, both front control arms were completely bad and could have cost me my family and myself lives. I contacted Honeybee from the mechanic shop and David told me that they don't have mechanics on staff and the vehicle is sold as is, The mechanic on the shop got on the phone with Honey bee to explain that this vehicle should have never left their lot, Honey Bee didn't seem concerned but told me that the extra warranty for broken engines that I signed for was to fix the problem, they still disregarded the safety violation of the control arms. The mechanic advised me to report this vehicle to the authorities as it was a safety violation, especially with me being a mother of five kids. The warranty that was on the vehicle was not going to cover the engine cost so I called Honeybee once again after towing the vehicle home. After countless phone conversations with the manager at Honeybee, they decided to pick it up and tow it to their mechanic on July 5 2016. It's been in their shop ever since, it is still in their shop today. I have not had the use of my vehicle that by the way honeybee is getting paid for. I went there and requested to speak to the owner, I haven't got a call back yet it's been two going on three weeks. I am paying insurance and payments on a vehicle that's not road worthy. This has placed a great deal of stress on me and my family. I called Honeybee to give me an extension on the temporary plates since it is in the shop in Pennsylvania and the temporary would expire while in there, the declined, stating that I should pay for a temporary tag through the state of Maryland, pretty much I should lie to the state in regards to the vehicle. I told them that this vehicle is in their shop and would not pass Maryland state inspection until it is fixed, which by the look of things have no definite date. Honeybee refused. The tags expired while in their possession. I took a job in New jersey and went to register the vehicle there, I was very transparent with them, I told them the vehicle was in Pennsylvania in the mechanic shop and have been there for a while, they were willing to tag the vehicle until I could get it out but they needed some information from Honeybee, honeybee refused to give the information, David said they don't sell vehicles to out of state people and only within a fifty mile radius. I was floored, I explained to them that when I bought the van which they still have, I had a Georgia license and I told the sales person I was in transition although I was living in Maryland, I am a veteran and seeking employment elsewhere, they agreed to sell me the vehicle. Now they refuse to give me the information to get the vehicle registered but they expect me to pay them for a vehicle that they have in their mechanic shop trying to make it road worthy. Their Mission statement which is not true "Honey Bee Auto Sales is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of ethics in our industry. We strive to maintain complete customer satisfaction by offering clean, dependable vehicles that are affordable" my van was $5495(OVERPRICED) it broke down after two weeks(NOT DEPENDABLE), honeybee gets paid and I'm without a vehicle for over a month, still without my vehicle (NO CUCUSTOMER SATISFACTION), no return phone call as requested in person from owner (NO ETHICS). read more

I know 8 people off the top of my head that have been ripped off by Honey Bee Auto Sales, including myself. My car needs a whole new motor and I've only had it for 6 months. We bought a ford ranger from this place a little less than a year ago. From day one we have had issues. Exhaust, overheating and bad suspension just to name a few. We have been making payments and all of the sudden we found ourselves a day behind. The owner apparently picked up the vehicle (drove it by the way) to the dealership this past Saturday. He demanded balance in full and charged us for towing. My husband was told that the owner said no to any offers and conveniently was not there. I have test driven a few cars myself and all of them have issues. They have no on site mechanic. They don't look their vehicles over. They overcharge their customers. After all of the confusion (including the fact that when first contacted they said they didn't have the vehicle), the truth came out...the owner NEEDED the money. Well perhaps if they ran a proper Christian business like they claim to, he wouldn't. Just to be clear, some of the positive reviews on this site coincidentally have the same names as many of their employees. A response to one of the reviews also shows how combative they can be with their "valued" customers. By neglecting to conduct good business this place charges you way more for vehicles that put families at risk both financially and physically and then leave the poor guy or lady behind the counter to take the brunt of an angry customer. read more
