This is a unique and wonderful place to have an excellent breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable, and the food and service are excellent. It's owned by a group of women that take pride in offering great food and service. One thing to remember that all restaurants, big and small are facing rises in the cost of wholesale food. Got an expensive underwhelming hotdog and expensive bottle of water. Biggest rip off I've had in a while. The service was good, and the decorations were good I guess. Overall the place did not feel very clean, but the bathrooms were fine. Just in general not great and really is a rip off for charging $4.50 for a 25¢ hot dog. read more

The wrap was 12$ and smaller then my fist, they advertise a few different spots that it's farm to table and if you want quality food then you have to wait because they take forever to get a order out. The Chicken was under portioned and from a can, there was no tomato, there was a small leaf of lettuce and the ranch tasted like ranch flavored water very underwhelming and quite disappointing considering the cost and wait time, my co worker also ordered the exact same thing and received the same results there Cajun sauce is just miracle whip and paprika, and the breading on the pickles from experience I can tell you is a dry batter on wet pickles, anyone who makes fried pickles to sell to someone knows that you must use a wet batter, the pickle fries were under par and not coated all the way, because of the incorrect preparation. We called the restaurant after we left to ask if there food was actually farm to table and they claimed that EVERYTHING was farm to table and we brought up the canned chicken and the owner said oh yea not the chicken but everything else. So thanks for knowing under portioning me canned chicken on a slab of tortilla poorly wrapped for 12$ and not even give me tomato or adequate amount of lettuce or even actual ranch. WILL NOT COME BACK HONESTLY stay away from most food establishments from deposit you're better off 2 minute driving it down the road to wendies. We were in town for a weekend. Honeys came recommended from our Motel. Walking in the first morning for coffee , we were met with a smile from everyone. The coffee & breakfast was amazing! Every direction was followed, the coffee was perfect! We went back the next day and great service and food again for breakfast. Unfortunately later that night we went back for dinner and we were disappointed. I got a cornbeef Ruben but it definitely was not corned beef it was not edible. Honey's cafe is very cute inside. Lots of photos of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis etc. The servers were friendly and my greek omelette was delicious. The next day i went back and had pancakes which were nice and fluffy. My daughter had burgers each day and loved them. My son and husband had buffalo chicken sandwiches but they were subpar. When going to honey's be prepared to wait a while to get your food. If you are in a rush this is not the place for you. read more

This used to be another diner. Guessing it changed hands. It's right off Rt 17 and has plenty of parking and seating both. It has a large menu, but also a large ice cream part to the menu. Different from other diners on that point. Kind of interesting. read more

Honeys is a fun little spot in the small town of Deposit. We made a pit stop here on a long drive, so this was a perfect place to recharge with some coffee and ice cream. They had a retro theme and played many hits from the 50s and 60s. Our server was very friendly and they certainly offer a killer malted milkshake. read more

Took my elderly mother to Deposit yesterday to look at some houses. Have never been there before but saw Honey's on a website. Saw that they made their own home made chips. I love chips! Let me just say that they are amazing! So worth stopping in for. Cute diner, lots to choose from on the menu and the 2 servers there yesterday were so sweet. This is now my second time at Honey's, and I absolutely love it! I do not live in the area but I do camp in the area from time to time. I came across this honey hole of a place to eat and can't wait to go when I am heading up to the area. The food is great! They have so much to choose from, as well as dessert after and baked goods to go! It really is a great place to stop. The owner is wonderful, and her staff is awesome too. They can never do enough for you! The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. They had everything we ordered which was pancakes, breakfast sandwiches with crispy bacon and even a veggie omelette with a wide variety of fresh veggies. The decor includes a large jukebox, although it is unplugged they told us it actually works. 1950s Hollywood star framed posters and ads, and 45 records on the walls. It has a cute sock hop/drive-in decor vibe going on. It also sits stream side to one of the states highest ranked trout fishing rivers. Recommend by a local, we stopped into this roadside on our way to Ithaca. A very friendly woman welcomed us. Seems like a family run place. The menu is pure comfort food: meatloaf, pancakes, grilled cheese, fried chicken, ribs. Portions were very generous. The turkey bacon wrap had home cooked, thick sliced turkey. Wow, best burger I had in a long time! Actual real good bacon and the homemade fries were awesome! Why stop there I said, so I order a 2 scoop Sunday with hot fudge and peanut butter.
