This is not only my family's favorite ice cream shop of all time... their soups and stews in the winter are scrumptious! My friends and I came in after a hot sunny afternoon on the lake. The aura was very much like a small town's favorite ice cream shop, and we quickly learned why. Despite the large size of my group, we were met with warmth and kindness by those at the counter. I ordered the cookies & cream ice cream in a kiddie cup. While some places make their cookies & cream ice cream too sweet and vulnerable to a quick melt, this one was balanced and well refrigerated enough to enjoy to the fullest. We stopped here for some much-needed treats after getting positively soaked to the bone at the outdoor concert in Bethel. Our daughter was a real trooper through it all so we wanted to do something special for her. We know about Sticky Fingers because they're the only local [to us] proprietor selling Jane's ice cream, which we all love, and which was a favorite of one of our late mom's. We like that they're open about using Jane's since it's such a high quality product and they don't pretend like it's their own ice cream. The shop is a tight squeeze and be forewarned that while service may be slow, it is extremely friendly, so you won't mind the wait and it will likely strike up a pleasant conversation with your fellow patrons. The vibe in here is chill and homey and we appreciated the welcoming ambience. There's a big patio outside to sit down and enjoy your ice creams. We were all happy with our flavors. One of us got peanut butter fudge and salty caramel pretzel. Both were excellent. The other got Almond Joy and cherry chocolate, and while we appreciated the inverse of the latter (chocolate ice cream with cherries instead of the typical other way around), the coconut on the Almond Joy was incredible...so rich! Our kiddo was equally happy with her killer chocolate. Overall, we had a really nice time here and were happy to support such a do-good/feel-good establishment. Fun place across from the lake. My husband enjoyed his standard chocolate chip mint. I tried the apricot orange blossom with the homemade French hot fudge sauce. So good! The flavors were rich and the fudge sauce was like fancy chocolate. While I ordered a medium they kindly put it in a large bowl so it wasn't a mess to eat. The owner was great! I am in my late 40's and have eaten a lot of ice cream in my life. This ice cream shop was a unique experience. The closest thing to it is Prince Edward Island's local COWS ice cream- it was the best I had enjoyed in my life up to this point- but Sticky Fingers has achieved something truly special with all of their flavors and textures. The opposite of commercial ice cream. Tasting the Orangeblossom Apricot or the Pistacio or the Coconut Almond Joy and homemade hot fudge were all multi-faceted tasting experiences. We had the loveliest visit with the man wielding the ice cream scoop, and he did NOT steer us wrong! The Apricot & Orange Blossom ice cream paired with Lavender was excellent ~ both intriguing, and the Lavender managed to hit the perfect note of floral-enough without tasting like soap, which is no easy feat. And the coffee-based one that I had (can't remember the name of it) paired with Dulce de Leche was inspired as well. All of the flavors were balanced and not overly sweet, including the Dulce de Leche, which is so often over-the-top sweet. SO good! (We were actually in the market for lunch, were stymied by several restaurants that we thought were going to be open and then weren't ... and were perfectly happy to have this divine ice cream in place of a "real" meal.) Cute little ice cream spot in Kauneonga Lake. It's seasonal so it's only open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day or so. They aren't elaborate or over the top, but the selection is decent and it isn't too pricy either. I recommend grabbing a bite at one of the restaurants there, then stopping in for a sweet treat to nosh on while enjoying the lake scenery. read more

Just take my money!! We stopped in here by accident, we were trying to find parking for another restaurant. I saw the sign and made a mental note for after dinner. Well bust my buttons, this place is ice cream heaven. So many unique and delicious flavors, homemade cookies and pastries and great customer service. This is a place I will travel out of the way for. It caters to families which I love!! They have outdoor seating spread out all over. They have a jungle gym, an outdoor high seat, little tables and chairs and other little toys. We load up the tiny humans with sugar and then let them burn it off. The owner is a super chill Austrailian. He has a contagious smile and a very relaxed demeanor. The like was out the door and he killed it with service, fast and efficient. This place is one of the many reasons I love Sullivan County in the summer.
