I visited once years ago and said I'd never return. Fast forward five years and here I am. I was pleasantly surprised. You have to overlook the massive amounts of clutter and useless hand written signs. The building is very old and the booths, carpet and walls reflect that, but most importantly the buffet is very clean and the food was tasty. Honestly a bit overpriced for what's offered and the ambiance, but if you want Chinese this is your only option around here. I'll definitely order something to go and it'll be fresh cooked and likely less expensive. read more

This place is really unassuming, I've passed it probably 100 times and took the time to stop today. It's in a dilapidated building in a rough parking lot. Nothing really Invites you to eat there, nothing. Having ate the best Chinese food of my life in NYC in a ratty rag tag restaurant with cracked windows, I figured eh why not. Service was prompt, drinks filled without delay, food? Fantastic!!! Teriyaki chicken, tender, not dry very tasty. Pepper steak? Delicious! House made sauce that wasn't gooey or sweet. Peepers really stood out! Egg rolls were crispy and delicious on the inside. Crab Rangoons, not oily, and plenty of tasty cream cheese filling. Chicken & broccoli was my absolute favorite, it was so flavorful, I could taste every vegetable in it. Chicken wasn't chewy, sauce was a light hibachi sauce and was magnificent! I've eaten at a few Chinese restaurants in Alabama and to be honest, I think I have covid when I eat at them because the food is so bland. Not here everything I ate was very delicious and full of life! Real pleasant change! Bathrooms were very clean! If I had to base this review on the food solely, it would have been 5 stars, the issue I saw was the appearance of the inside of the restaurant. Storage areas with chairs stacked right near the buffet line, a curtain would be a huge help here. There's also signs all over the restaurant, "4% charge for credit card" "don't waste" and another sign that says "read the signs" there were so many more!! In my opinion take all those down. Nobody reads them, make one big sign above the register when you walk in with what you want to say and take those nasty tattered signs down. Not good. This restaurant was our son's choice after competing at a State Swim Meet. Not a good reward! We love Chinese food, but this was the worst we have ever had. My husband's carbonated beverage was straight carbonation in 2/3 of the glass. The woman (think it was the owner/manager's wife) delivering the drink may have noticed had she not devoted her entire time during our visit on a personal conversation, spoken in Chinese, on her hands-free phone! The sesame chicken was bathed in some type of red coating and tasted like saffron, which does not even belong in the dish. You wouldn't think that fried rice could taste bad, but it was also weirdly seasoned. To be fair, the chicken-on-a-stick was pretty good, but nothing special. There were few people there during the lunch rush, which was a pretty good indicator of a place to avoid. The atmosphere is drab & definitely unwelcoming. It would be perfect if they would turn off CNN. The food is fresh you can eat off the bar or order off the menu. The to go is delicious. But no one should have to endure CNN blasting over dinner blasting hate about our sitting president that has been proven fake. It turns the stomach to endure and kills the appetite. This place will give you a different experience at different times of the day. I know because I live a couple of miles away from it and I have had lunch and dinner here several times. If you come in around lunch when they open, the food is freshly cooked and pretty good. They will seat you when you walk in and take your drink order. The waiters/waitresses aren't the most friendly people, but then again, they don't know much english. They are polite, but don't expect them to hang around and chat. You can order food off of a menu or you can do what most people do and eat off of the buffet. As I said, around lunch the food on the buffet is pretty good and there are alot of dishes to choose from... But If you come in near closing or for dinner, it's hit or miss. If they haven't been very busy that day, I can assure you that alot of the dishes have sat under the lamps for a while, making them tough and not very fresh tasting. So it's a gamble. read more
