I was appalled when Maddie H review on Hong Kong Restaurant. I knew I had to write my own review to set the record strait. Her review seems totally unfair and biased. I should know I go there every other week usually! The owners and employees are friendly. You can tell the owners care about the product they put out! The Bbq pork spare ribs are so tasty but I can say everything is good! I really enjoy the spring rolls , egg rolls and fried dumplings! I would encourage everyone to disregard Maddie H's as vindictive and retaliatory. I'm a regular and it upsets me that someone can give such a bad review for a good place. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed! To the owners and staff keep up the good work. You guys rock!!

The food was cold and very little flavor. It looked like the food had been sitting out for hours at the buffet.

We had made reservations for 2 nights at El Morro, confirmed by an e-mail, and stating that we would receive an e-mail AND a text with the the code to our cabin several days before our arrival. We received NOTHING!! Attempts to reach anyone that could confirm that we had a place to stay by phone on the day of our arrival were fruitless. It took over an hour to finally receive a call from the owner. By That time we had made other plans, as the drive to El Morro without a confirmation that we had a place to stay was just too big of a risk. El Morro's failure to follow through on our reservation as they said that they would, along with the total inability to contact someone at the site that had a clue as to what was going on caused us to miss spending time with friends that we had not seen in over 30 years. There is nothing that can be done to replace that.....

They were able to accommodate me with a late check in on short notice. Highly recommended. The food at the cafe was tasty as well.

Naa Daa Bighan (The Corn House Café)…read more This is a quite little café located near the Hubbell Trading Post (a National Historic site), on a side street surrounded by a neighborhood and farmland. Once you go up the steps to the wooden porch you will enter a small café that has been open for only about 6 months and primarily serving the locals and the occasional tourist such as my wife and me. We were just looking for a light lunch, so we split one of their Navajo Tacos with a side of fries. I have had a number of Navajo tacos in my lifetime and I would have to say that this was one of the best. Another item that I saw on their list that looked like it would be really good was a lamb sandwich with fry bread. Our waitress was very attentive and fun to talk to about the restaurant and local activities. The manager stopped by and also very pleasant to talk to. Not a Fancy dining location, but very clean dining area and kitchen. If you are ever out and around the Hubbel Trading Post or just traveling through this little town, this is a must stop location for a meal.

Tucked away near downtown Grants Former Tiendita front I saw that it's now Gabby's Caf Breakfast was my want. River Park across the street early in the day had geese and ducks and walking dogs they wanted me to stay. Gabby's called I could not wait and so I walked away. "Your early sir." said smiling Tam, "The cook is on his way." "Restroom please." "It's down the hall and to the left. waiting for your stay." Music Country, art the same - it's rural N.M. here my friend, horses, cows and lambs. Star of The West brought the list. She shined her light, she spoke her words she made my morning bright. What rhymes with Huevos Rancheros? Farmer Brothers coffee and a tall cold glass of H2O. The beans were swell, the eggs were fine, green chile sauce was gentle on my mind. And into prose I wind. Gabby's Cafe is the in-town Mom of Gabby's Diner in Milan. You can get dinner there if you're on time. Gabby's Cafe has a marvelous pine floor, callung out for Saturday night music and dancing.

I didn't get her name, but she was just the nicest person ever! The reviews raved about the burgers so we decided to try them. My husband had the double cheeseburger, and I tried the Bourbon Feta and grilled onion burger. First, they used quality beef, hand-formed snd smashed, so I love the texture of the patties and the way they were cooked. Buns were buttered and toasted on the grill lightly. Fries were decent. The only downside was that I could not taste the bourbon on my burger, but the feta and onions were on point. We also tried the strawberry lemonade - perfect - not too sweet. It was nice to watch the service team interact, and how they hustled. They do a lively to-go business as well. Great place to stay.
