I was appalled when Maddie H review on Hong Kong Restaurant. I knew I had to write my own review to set the record strait. Her review seems totally unfair and biased. I should know I go there every other week usually! The owners and employees are friendly. You can tell the owners care about the product they put out! The Bbq pork spare ribs are so tasty but I can say everything is good! I really enjoy the spring rolls , egg rolls and fried dumplings! I would encourage everyone to disregard Maddie H's as vindictive and retaliatory. I'm a regular and it upsets me that someone can give such a bad review for a good place. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed! To the owners and staff keep up the good work. You guys rock!!

The food was cold and very little flavor. It looked like the food had been sitting out for hours at the buffet.

Pleasant environment, I especially loved the decor on the walls. The food was delicious, I had a chorizo breakfast burrito stuffed with has browns and scrambled with eggs. The burrito was smothered with my choice of green chile sauce, not spicy, however it was delicious. The whole beans served were flavorful. The other plate was the huevos rancheros with red sauce that was amazingly delicious, the kind of sauce you can eat Camarones (shrimp) à la Diabla, and the spice was just right! Coffee was delicious, not too strong or watered down, just right! I would come back to this place if I wasn't just passing thru.

Please stop And enjoy some amazing, traditional home cook New Mexico style food. The pancake was 2nd best that I have EVER had!! Only 1 other beats it, and I'm extremely tough on my Pancakes so the 2place in my book is huge!! I had the Huevos Rancheros. Couldn't decide on red chili or green to cover my eggs so I had both. Yummy! Both were extremely tasty! No regrets there. Beans were absolutely tasty- no cheese, just home cooked frijoles de olla which was seasoned to perfection. Hubby had the traditional eggs n bacon. Oh, and the hash browns were buttery goodness. The atmosphere was like you stepped into your family's kitchen with your cousins whippin up breakfast. Such beautiful ladies and so kind. 2 fulfilling breakfast $27. Can't beat that! And the locals, all just good positive energy!

We had made reservations for 2 nights at El Morro, confirmed by an e-mail, and stating that we would receive an e-mail AND a text with the the code to our cabin several days before our arrival. We received NOTHING!! Attempts to reach anyone that could confirm that we had a place to stay by phone on the day of our arrival were fruitless. It took over an hour to finally receive a call from the owner. By That time we had made other plans, as the drive to El Morro without a confirmation that we had a place to stay was just too big of a risk. El Morro's failure to follow through on our reservation as they said that they would, along with the total inability to contact someone at the site that had a clue as to what was going on caused us to miss spending time with friends that we had not seen in over 30 years. There is nothing that can be done to replace that.....

Usually I am just happy to fill my belly. This cafe not only had the best service I have ever experienced but the food was stellar! I would go out of my way to eat here again. Everyone there was so happy to to wait on us, feed us and talk with us to understand why we were visiting. They served 3 more groups of late arrivAl's `after we showed up and with each one, they welcomed them with open arms and made sure they too had a great meal and great service. If you are within an hour of this cafe, I highly recommend you make it to their door! Every other restaurant could learn from this wonderful group of people. Service with a smile, incredible food, personal service from wait staff and the chef! The home made pizza was the best I have ever experienced. Incredible crust and unique and delicious toppings!!!!

Once you go up the steps to the wooden porch you will enter a small café that has been open for only about 6 months and primarily serving the locals and the occasional tourist such as my wife and me. We were just looking for a light lunch, so we split one of their Navajo Tacos with a side of fries. I have had a number of Navajo tacos in my lifetime and I would have to say that this was one of the best. Another item that I saw on their list that looked like it would be really good was a lamb sandwich with fry bread. Our waitress was very attentive and fun to talk to about the restaurant and local activities. The manager stopped by and also very pleasant to talk to. Not a Fancy dining location, but very clean dining area and kitchen. I didn't get her name, but she was just the nicest person ever! The reviews raved about the burgers so we decided to try them. My husband had the double cheeseburger, and I tried the Bourbon Feta and grilled onion burger. First, they used quality beef, hand-formed snd smashed, so I love the texture of the patties and the way they were cooked. Buns were buttered and toasted on the grill lightly. Fries were decent. The only downside was that I could not taste the bourbon on my burger, but the feta and onions were on point. We also tried the strawberry lemonade - perfect - not too sweet. It was nice to watch the service team interact, and how they hustled. They do a lively to-go business as well. Great place to stay.
