The food was okay, and the service was okay as well, but unfortunately it was very slow. My biggest concern was the cleanliness. As soon as we entered the parking area, there was a very strong and unpleasant smell that immediately made us question whether we should even go inside. The overall environment did not feel clean or hygienic. If cleanliness is important to you or you're trying to avoid getting sick or dealing with a stomach bug while traveling, I would personally recommend choosing somewhere else. Wonderful food! I was a little hesitant with the location shared with a truck stop but once inside the smell alone told me we had made the BEST decision. Even though it's not fancy inside, they have comfortable booths that are great after a long drive. The people are friendly and the service is fast. Having experienced some local Indian restaurants in the past we weren't too timid but this place is attached to a truck stop. The meal and service were exceptional. I had the Lamb Vindaloo with garlic naan and my two dining mates had curry (chicken and goat). We all selected medium spice level and two of us agreed we could've gone a notch spicier. Great flavors at a truck stop. The buffet was closed so we ordered when we walked in. If you are driving through Gallup, call 20-30 mins ahead. All the classics. I got a saag and my boyfriend the curry. Both were excellent. You get a pint of curry and a pint of rice per entree. I have yet to find Indian food this food in Phoenix. I was really impressed with the flavor profiles of both of our meals. 10/10 for Indian food but 100/10 for truck stop food.
