I've been to other studios in both the north and central jersey areas and nothing compares. I love their energy and vinyasa flow- it's unique to all the teachers' styles of teaching. The class typically starts with a short guided meditation in order to help you set an intention and focus on your yoga practice. It's always something so relatable, playful, and nothing too serious. That's what really makes the class unique: it's FUN! The energy the teachers and the fellow yogis give off each other keeps you motivated and going (and laughing). The flows sometimes will focus on certain areas in the body, like legs/hips/ abs/ shoulders/ etc., which is really nice when certain parts of your body need attention. Did I mention the music is always on point? What I really enjoy about this yoga studio(/community) is the play in between flows. The teachers will demonstrate how to do more "advanced" poses, along with variations for beginners and more advanced yogis. Things like handstands, arm balance variations, and how to even flow from one advanced pose to another. It's awesome! During these play sessions, the teachers will come around to help you out, and other yogis will most likely cheer you on. It's so sweet- again the energy is fantastic. This studio has a great balance between traditional yoga and this new unique style that you can't find anywhere else. Definitely go check them out. Her classes still ran even if it rained and the grass was wet. We changed up the location for that one class so we were covered and not on grass. Her classes are wonderful. You can go at your own pace. She will show you moves if you want to challenge yourself though. There is no judgement in her classes. If you want to lay in shivasana for the whole class she would welcome that. She also has held some donation based classes for different organizations that were close to her. I am honored to have taken a few of these classes and now I call Shannon not just a yoga instructor but a good friend. She is very fun to be around gives off all positive energy. Also, I have made another friend through her classes as well. She also will incorporate other fun and interesting things into her class. I did a cacao ceremony once and that was something I had never done before. Very interesting if I say so myself. She also had a good class. I got the attention I needed and didn't feel overwhelmed... well other than my own flexibility but that's not her fault lol. Anyway, I also attended Kesha's class the following week and I felt just as welcomed as I did when I went to Sybil's class the week before. There were people at all levels in the classes and it really is an environment for all who want to get into yoga.
