In…read morethe middle of his process to complete the rug, he was unable to finish it due to not having someone to do the felting work. I was able to locate someone on my own to finish the work. When I went to the Creek Bottom shop to pick up my partially finished rug, I was charged another $759 to pick it up. At this point, I am $1459 into getting my rug done and will have to pay another taxidermist to complete the project. I'm certain he did not have a great deal of expense into the project and I would have expected to only pay his cost for taking a project and not being able to complete the work. Not happy and I would not recommend his services...

I was quite impressed with Todd's displayed work and the care that he took to guide my rug selections. He asked for and I paid $450 down. He said it could take up to 3 years to complete and that he would give me a final payout number then. I got another bear in 2023, so I called Todd to see if he could make me another rug. He said he had lost his felter and would only do half or three quarter mounts. I said I would look elsewhere. With no luck in finding another taxidermist, my bear guide said he would see if his taxidermist would do it. The answer was yes. My buddy said he was tired of waiting for his rug and would check with the bear guide's guy. It was confirmed that he would complete our bear rugs. We informed Todd that we wanted our now tanned bear pelts back so they could be completed. I asked Todd what my final bill was. He said another $725, which I paid. A total cost of $1175. At this point the only thing that was done to my bear was hide tanning. When I told our new taxidermist the final cost, he was shocked as he would have expected the tanning to be around $450 to $500. Although I was initially impressed with Todd at Creek Bottom, I became extremely disappointed in his poor delivery and excessive pricing. I would not recommend.

What a trip! This shop is SO fun to walk around. I can't believe I haven't been in yet!…read more When you walk in, you'll be greeted by big taxidermied heads and gothic oddities from floor to ceiling. Truly, on this one I'll let the photos do the talking. There's so much to uncover here, many of which are a bit too spooky for my home decor but a blast to walk through! I didn't get anything, but my favorite items were the butterfly displays and the bug displays that had them in little mini vignettes like reading a book, smoking a cigarette, etc. hahah they were so darling and clever. Prices are steep but probably reasonable considering the uniqueness of everything here. If you're looking for a holiday gift for that quirky pal, come here! And even if you're not...you're gonna want to see this place.

I mean, what can you say about this place other than : awesome…read more a lot of taxidermy in here, but also a slew of other oddities you never knew you wanted. I could spend hours in here just looking and discovering things. This is really a place you need to see to believe. And take your time because there is something cool to see in every nook and crany. Need a stuff moose head? some old research beakers and such? A tiny puffer fish with googly eyes? A Jesus with a blond wig? Porcupine quills perhaps? A stuffed dancing goat wearing a tutu? Vintage photos? Assorted bones? Well, you can find it here. The staff is very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have. They even know the exact origin of many of the items in the store.
