Open in the late afternoon on Sunday, this spot was perfect for us after a day of exploring Staten Island! A steak and some Italian sausage and we can cook and eat our fill of protein tonight! They cut every thing in house, right there. Everything is local and fresh! Mike was very helpful a friendly, even though I'm a tourist. FOr the past 3 years, I have consistently gotten Great fantastic Rib eye steaks from them. I go last minute .. the day of.. Sadly, a few times I have not been able to get a Dry aged Ribeye. My fault they were sold out.. Recently, I had a non aged Rib eye... Threw it on the charcoal BBQ.. I swear I ate a steak from any of the Ultra well known Steak houses.. Wait.. IT WAS BETTER Yep Better and 1/2 the price.. They custom cut ur steaks to the thickness u want. On another note... I tried there Parsley sausage.. I did not like it because it was Spicy... I found this artisanal butcher shop tucked away in the Travis section of Staten Island. The owner is a super nice and friendly guy. Since it was a holiday weekend he was out of the prime cuts but he went out of his way to accommodate me with what he had in stock. I picked up dried pepperoni, burgers, and some ground beef for meat sauce. He even vacuum-sealed the ground beef to make it last. It's so nice to have an alternative to commercially processed supermarket-grade meats. I'll update my review once I'm done cooking. read more

Great selection of fresh high quality meats and specialty dairy goods. This has been the type of butcher I've been looking for. They know their stuff very well and as far as I can tell only sell the best they can get. They break down everything there! No one else in SI does that. In addition to having an a great selection all year round, they take orders for natural and organic turkey for Thanksgiving. Forget about the super market's meat area. It's garage next to Hook and Rail. Trader Joe's... They pump their packaged meats with nitrogen to keep it looking fresh, and it affects the taste. This is a real butcher shop. I went today and picked up a 2" porterhouse as I have at least a half a dozen other times. Everytime the fillet is tiny. I feel like im getting a T-bone at porterhouse price. It the same thing every time. I know damn well a porterhouse is cut from the larger end of the short loin and T-bones from the small side, Thus determining the size of the fillet. I'm did chicken cutlets and chopped meat and a porterhouse steak. It's a small place but know what only selling meat so don't need it to be to Big they looked like they had a nice cheese selection also. I am in love with this place! Went in this afternoon looking for burgers. Owner told us because of the holiday week and it was the end of the weekend he had sold out of his chop meat. While we were deciding if we wanted something else, he said he would freshly grind up some meat and make us fresh burgers. We went for the bacon burgers, which are are ground beef mixed with ground bacon ends. We also took some of their organic blue cheese to melt on the burgers. Just finished eating, and everything was great. The burger had that smoky bacon flavor and the blue was so good. Quality meat and great customer service, I will 100% be back to try some of their other amazing looking cuts of meat. read more

Overall good people, friendly and treat you like you've been going there forever on the first visit. Been going here for a few years now for bones for my dogs to chew on. Started buying their meats this year, a little bit pricey however you're paying for the quality you put into your body! Also best burgers I've ever had. I normally make my own burgers but they have these bacon burgers that they make fresh to order, you WONT regret it. Everyone I've grilled for wants to know where I got the burgers. Staten Island does not have to many true butcher shops like this on the island compared to NJ. This might be the only one sorry. People have been posting photos of the shop on social media and it has looked phenomenal. I decided to reach out yesterday see if they had any of the burger patties pre made like they advertise on their Facebook. They then told me to call the store as I did. Stephen answered the phone had asked what I was looking for told him I just wanted a few burger some of the bacon and cheese and then a few regular patties. Let me tell you the Bacon and Cheese patties he put together were out of this world. You tasted the bacon and maybe a gouda or some sort of cheese and it was just delicious. We also got a monster ribeye which we did not cook yet and looks fantastic with a lot of marbling (these are the photos I have seen). Another thing I like about the place is that they vacuum seal all the meat. So if you want to freeze something you can do so.
