After picking up my nephew's friends, we all headed to the fair. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Parking wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. After I unloaded my car filled with 13-year-olds, we walked a very short distance to the front gate. I ordered everyone's ticket in advance online, so after their wristbands were put on, we breezed right in. The rides were super fun and appeared to be similar to Carowinds rides...meaning they were more sturdy than the average small-fair ride. There were lots of games, prizes, eating options, and a performance area. This fair left nothing on the table. It was worth the price. We will surely return next year!

We started out at easy parking, we checked in, then we went on some rides, like the zero gravity rides, the one that go upside down, and a lot more! Until we rode this ride that was themed to a taxi, as soon as the ride started, it was fast, it was so fast that I felt NAUSEOUS, I ran to find a hidden trash can so I could empty out my guts, then I felt nauseated for like 45 minutes until I felt fine again, then I went in a couple fun houses before we rode more rides, I rode the roller coaster at the park and it was FUN! After we rode the roller coaster, we got some hot dogs, and I prayed that I wouldn't get sick again, they me and my friend rode some more rides, and then it started to get dark so we head out and it was fun, I loved it and I hope I can go back soon

They had such neat and cool stuff in here. My nieces had an absolute blast on just about everything. It was neat to see different exhibits at this play center such as the firetruck, the boat, the car mechanic, the cafe, and the airline setup. My nieces could have spent all day in there if we would have let them. They also have volunteers walking around through the center cleaning up too! Although we enjoyed our time here I was surprised at how small the place was on the inside. It's two stories but there weren't many play areas upstairs. I've been to bigger discovery kids centers and I wish this one was a little bigger. My youngest niece is only 2 so she was able to play in the small kid area. Even though there were volunteers coming around the facility did not regulate age appropriate kids in the small kid play area. There were 10 Year olds and above coming in the area trying to play. I think they should be a little stricter on this. But overall a cool and fun play for kids!

The maze ($$) and the hayride which show you the whole Historic Rural Hill, and my goodness this place is huge! Food: 4/5 one food truck and little snack for the kiddos. A look over the beverages menu and I chose a local from Wooden Robot and Mrs. K. decided on one of their mocktails (spicy ginger beer with lime juice). A lovely bartender prepared our drinks and while enjoying them, we watched the comings and goings. Confluence is a big space and because they don't have a kitchen, they are dog friendly. Nice to see some well-behaved dogs also enjoying the space which includes dart boards, comfy sofas and lots of seating all the way back. Concessions are available but you need to get there pretty early to finish your food and drink. The event itself was great! A slide, 3D glasses and a bridge through a swirling tunnel of light, a white out room, many jump scares, chain saws galore, all culminating in a short corn maze. Amazing use of disorientation.

I enjoy Halloween themed haunted houses and trails immensely and attend those types of events annually. My family and I were impressed as soon as we arrived at the location, which is both scenic and colorful with the lighted quarry accompanied along with a running waterfall. Everything is extremely well organized from the ticketing, snack bar, restrooms, and trail. I had the pleasure of speaking with a scare actor dressed as a witch while waiting to enter the trail and this person did a phenomenal job. Once my family members and I embarked on our journey via the haunted trail we were startled by all kinds of scare actors in various sets from houses, slides, psychedelic tunnels, busses, cornfields, and plenty of scare actors chasing us with chain saws. It was incredible. I can't wait to take my son with me next year!

The burgers were the best option as they were seasoned  and the toppings were fresh. The pulled pork was my second favorite. The hot dogs were good, but I'm not a huge hot dog fan. I'm never one to eat at the ballpark because it's usually overpriced for basic food. Yet, depending on the prices, I would consider eating here outside of work events.
