I was the perfect candidate to be ripped off - female, traveling solo, driving an older used car with a history of "engine starter problems". It was my very good fortune that J. was the tow driver AAA dispatched; he listened, he offered a solution that would let me to continue my interrupted journey: allow his employer to order & install a replacement starter. There was NO hard sell - it was just an option, which I gratefully agreed to. Upon arrival at All Towed Up, Steven Wilson (owner) listened to my story, checked the car over, and determined that the problem almost certainly was NOT a bad starter. He told me I didn't need a new starter, that he could return the one ordered specifically for my car, and that if I did have further trouble to call him directly. And of course recommended once I got home to have my local mechanic check car thoroughly examine the car for what did cause the "no start" issue. It would have been easiest thing in the world for Steve to replace the not-bad starter in my car with the one he had ordered, and send me on my way. I would have agreed to that - I didn't know any better. BUT this is an honest man, with honest employees and runs an honest business. There are a few that I've done business with that have earned my trust and respect. Greg Hullet's shop is one of the few I trust with my cars. I've had several repairs done by Greg and his employees and each time the repairs have been completed in a reasonable time and done well with no issues. His pricing is competitive. The only issues are 1. The shop sits in a muddy low spot and he doesn't have a paved lot. 2. The shop is messy. But these two issues are not deal breakers by any means, it's the repairs that matter. And they are done right.
