We come here for my kids basketball games. It has 2 courts so 2 games can be played side by side. There is not enough seating. The worst part is there is no air conditioning or if there is any, you can't feel a bit. Are you kidding me? It's 110 outside in Vegas and you sit here sweating watching your kids play. I wish NYS would not schedule basketball games here in summer. Tarakanian is much better. read more

pLaYhOuSe Las Vegas plays in 2 different leagues here. This is the only basketball gym near the southwest area. The reason for only 2 stars is, *The flooring could use some work *They only have 2 1/2 courts, the half court need a side curtain. The ball always bounce over to the full court. *The seats are not stadium seats, the seats are just regular chairs zipped tied together. *Very limited sitting area. *The lighting is very dark inside. *Very dark outside, not very safe. *Don't have much parking spaces. I give them 2 stars because this is a good practice space for kids. Location is on and off Blue Diamond in which is near the freeway. This gym is very hidden, good luck in finding it lol read more

We came here for a USJN girls basketball tournament. The current temperature in the gym is 91 degrees. There are air conditioning units not on. There is no cold water or any beverages for sale and the bathrooms have neither toilet paper or paper towels. The gym floors are your typical square piece wood laminate. I'm pretty sure a Either the refs or a player will faint soon from the heat. read more

Seemed great in the beginning, but when it came to actually reserving a court, the guy doesn't answer the phone. Finally got a court reserved. Drove across town in the morning to play and he has both courts going with a tournament. Most upsetting is that I was calling and texting him, AT THE GYM. I see someone with a hoop city shirt on sitting at a desk (I didn't know this was Jermaine) but I realized he was looking at his phone and ignored it. I went up to him and asked if he was Jermaine and he said he was. He was literally ignoring my calls and texts about the reserved court as I was standing behind him. He tells me the tournaments can run long, but he promises we can be on by 11-11:30 and tells us we still have to be off at 12 if we still want to play. No thanks. Hey Jermaine, it's typical for things to run long, but you should call and make the people who reserved courts aware that it is running long, or at the very least, answer the phone when they are calling. Don't ignore them and hope they don't show up. I ignored the other bad reviews because they all seemed to be about the lack of Air Conditioning which I can deal with compared to playing outside. It's clear now that it's all stems from one problem. He is cutting energy costs because it's struggling. He's struggling because of the way he treats customers. I won't be coming back here and it won't be long before this place closes its doors. read more

Our team just played in a tournament here and the temperature inside was extremely hot, the thermostat read 91 degrees Very unsafe for all these players health to play in such ridiculous heat. We did talk to the people running the tournament and their response was well its a little warm today it is usually only 85 degrees. Which is still ridiculous. The only fans are extremely small and it only hits down on the refs and score board keepers. They are charging $15 a day to sit in this outrageous hotbox. This needs to get fixed or someone is going to end up in the hospital or dead from heat exhaustion. Would NEVER play here again. Rip off. read more

This is a great place for people who want their kids to get private coaching and play competitive club basketball. The coaches really coach the kids well. There isn't a lot of space for parents to sit and watch games. there are two full courts that are in constant play, and a little warm up court. My son plays for NYS and we come here regularly . The basketball courts are kept up and in well condition but the place is so small there's nowhere to sit. The bathrooms are always disgusting they're never clean !!! They never have any paper towels in the bathroom to dry your hands or anywhere in the facility it seems like . My daughter accidentally spilled some water so I went into look for napkins couldn't find any. I tried to look for somebody to help me clean it .Took me about 20 minutes to find anybody that could help. I didn't want anybody falling because they slipped on the water but even when I did he couldn't find anything to clean up the spill . Not sure how it got cleaned up . read more

This place isn't as bad as its current 1.5 average would suggest. It's your basic community basketball location--perfectly adequate to watch your cousin win a decently entertaining championship game. It's clean with just enough seating to accommodate the few family members that make the time to stop by. There's plenty of parking. There's alot more to Hoop City than the facility. My son's been practicing and playing in leagues there since Spring 2016. He came in a novice and has developed strong basketball skills, good sportsmanship, and now has a huge love for the sport - basketball is his life! Jermaine is my go-to guy for scheduling, payments, and a good laugh. He works around the clock, always with a smile and treats us like family. The entire coaching staff has been great to work with. They employ the tough love approach with the kids. Constructive feedback will be given, but Coaches Kenny, Shay, Dedan, Imperial, and Trey genuinely care about each child. They offer praise when hard work bears fruit. I've even seen them run out on the court and pick injured kids up. Game schedules have historically been sent last minute, but the Hoop City coaches have done a great job of improving communication. They now post schedules online and set up group texts with all parents of team members. Yes, it's hot in the summer, but it's better than playing in the direct sunlight. It feels great in all of the other seasons of the year! They recently made some improvements in the restrooms by installing soap and paper towel dispensers. Don't let the negative talk about the facility deter you from checking the Hoop City basketball programs out. If you're looking for a place to help a child improve their basketball skills and nurture a love for the game, this is the place to be! read more

No air conditioning, my whole family was sweaty and sticky. Oh, but they had a few fans here and there. Music was LOUD, my ears wanted to fall off. Close to zero seating... we had to stalk people to get a seat. We paid $15 for adults and $5 for kids. So $40 total for our family to stand up, sweat and have headaches from the loud music. We paid to sit in what felt like a sauna when really we just went to support our daughter playing basketball. read more

If your kid is more advanced, well they have that covered as well! With coaches/trainers with high levels of basketball experience, your kid is sure to become better and better with every session! My son loves this place. We visit the facility often because my son works out at facility. We enjoy watching the games that are played from youth to adult. Not very well run. Impossible to watch your child play when staff and parents walk on the court not caring if the game is happening. Glad to be done with NYS. Especially because of Hoop City. Maybe management should train the staff and control what happens on court. Beware of the random balls flying because of no net between seating and practice area. Not a good experience. Place is dope to hoop!!!! open late, great floors and great service....a lot of NBA dudes hoop there. impact trainers is the top trainers in the city hands down. I can't explain how awesome this place has been for me for the past few years. I started coming to this little gym when there were barely any people going to it. Then, three years flashed before my eyes and before I knew it, hundreds and hundreds of people were coming here every week to enjoy two things: basketball, and a gym they could trust. Jermaine, the man who owns the gym, could not be a nicer dude. He started it from the ground up and he does a fantastic job making sure it's not only clean and ready for hooping, but renovating it regularly to compensate for the shifting pace of basketball itself. I would not hesitate to ever come here, and although it may be a little hot sometimes in the summer, I won't ever turn to somewhere else when it comes to me wanting to play the sport I love at a place I respect. Hoop City is legit! Even DeMarcus Cousins and other NBA big-name players have practiced there- what more do you need to get in there and lace up? read more

This place sucks ass!!!!! To start you are greeting by what sounds like a night rave, only to be hurdled into the main walkway we're you stand amongst others scouring for an available seating option. Good luck with that because you won't find an open seat, available seat options, or a bench!!! For those parents who choose to whether the storm because of the hundreds of dollars they have spent for their kid to be a part of this so called tournament you can find a small bit of hope by choosing to sit on the hard gym floor hoping the ball doesn't bounce into your face!! Oh did I mention if you do happen to find a seat some random guy who's not apart of the tournament, however concerned with your choice of seating will ask you to move because the few seats you did happen to score are for the " coaches" only! I mean seriously, get out of here with that! We moved, but only because our daughter hadn't played yet and we didn't want to cause a scene! The lack of air in this place is enough to make anyone adult or child feel as though they are in hell itself!!! They have 4 so called fans posted on the court which are blowing; nothing but hot air. Im surprised these players haven't passed out from heat stroke!! The one good part of this experience is we finally scored seats again!! More like seats in the fire of hell!! The two seats we " scored" were placed in front of a metal door that upon seating down felt more like you had been placed inside a 500 degree oven, now I know how Hansel and Gretel felt.
