I started at Hoop's Boot Camp and Fitness in June 2024 at 230 pounds. I started off weighing 400 pounds and once I got down to 230 pounds I felt like I was able to start working out. I wanted to build muscle and have a toned and strong body. Immediately, when I started, Jason, the owner and his wife, Darla and their trainer, Amy were extremely supportive and accommodating to the fact that I was out of shape and needed modifications for almost every exercise. I started coming multiple days a week and after a couple of months, I was able to start coming six days a week. The workouts are 30 minutes each, which is great because it doesn't take up too much time in my day and they are great workouts that have made me feel and look stronger and healthier as well as feeling good about my body. I have lost 90 pounds since I started at their gym and I have gained a ton of muscle and look fantastic now all thanks to Hoops Boot Camp and Fitness! I went from a plus size 5X to a size small. They're wonderful owners and are great trainers. They are encouraging, supportive, positive motivating, and accommodating. I have never felt like they pushed me beyond what I was comfortable with yet their workouts are still challenging so that you can get results. They are a family owned and run business. The class sizes are small, no more than 14 people per class and you rotate stations and every day is a different workout and challenge that focuses on lower body strength, upper body strength and core strength along with agility training and cardio. The people that attend the gym are all very supportive and nice. It is a judgmental free zone. I have felt comfortable in this gym since day one and I have never felt that sort of comfort in any other gym that I have been at. I highly encourage you to give them a try. I was given a four week free trial and after that another four weeks at a discounted rate of only $100. Their pricing is really great for a small gym. I only pay $130 a month for unlimited classes. They offer morning, afternoon, and evening workouts. Most of the classes only have around 6 to 8 people so you really get individualized and personalized attention which is really nice. They show you how to properly lift weights and will help you if you are not lifting weights properly so that you don't injure yourself. The gym is small, but it has everything that you need for a full body workout . They have a ropes station. They have weights of all different strengths. They have a TRX station, a med ball station, a kettle ball station, and step up boxes of various size, yoga balls and rollers, rowing machines, and much more equipment to be able to make each work out different but effective. I've been in the area for 3.5 years, and I've struggled to find any kind of workout facility of my liking. It's a 30-minute workout, and I mean workout. It's cardio, weights, and any and everything you can think of in a boot camp setting. People of all ages work out there. There's multiple times a day that classes are offered and every day but Sunday. And have I talked about the prices yet? Everywhere else that I have considered was so expensive that there was no motivation left to work out. I was too busy thinking of what bills I couldn't pay. But here they offer extremely affordable prices for the average person. You can go a whole week for free just to try it out, and they don't hound you to sign or anything. Then afterwards, if you're still not sure, you can sign on for another two months for $100! That's right. That's eight weeks for $100. Then after that if you're still not interested, then walk away or sign up for a few different options. But the key is....you can opt out anytime. You're not stuck in some contracts that you can never get out of. The people are excellent, and everyday there's different workouts. I hardly recommend the place. read more

Don't let the name fool you. I was nervous about trying this place because "Boot Camp" makes me think of drill sergeants who yell and belittle you. Boy, was I wrong! The trainers here are very encouraging! They are positive individuals who show up consistently, setting a good example for members. There are several classes throughout the day to choose from, as early as 5am and as late as 7pm so no matter what your work and family schedules are, you can make time for a 30 minute workout. There are also Saturday morning classes. You book your classes through a mobile app where you can set a goal and track your progress. Each workout is different and challenging. There are different membership levels so you can choose how frequently to attend, and a payment structure that works best for you. It's a great value considering there is a certified personal trainer guiding you and making sure you're doing the exercises efficiently. This is an awesome place. I have been coming here for the past three weeks, and there hasn't been any exercise that was not challenging. Every day, you are presented with new exercise and instructions are clear and the instructor/coach is there to help you with any questions you may have. FBBC is a fantastic work out environment if you want to get fit while having fun. Every day is something different and it is never boring. Jason challenges us daily while motivating and teaching throughout the session. I really enjoy working out in a group setting and everyone at FBBC is friendly and welcoming. We are all from different athletic backgrounds but that doesn't matter in this environment as everyone encourages and works hard. I can't believe I'm writing a review about anything to do with fitness... because I HATE working out... but FBBC is honestly different. I have been working out regularly for the past 5 months, and I actually enjoy the workout. I definitely enjoy feeling more toned and the increase in energy it provides. Jason is fantastic as a trainer- he knows what he is talking about and can adjust exercises appropriately if you have injuries, he is a good motivator without being annoying or mean. By far these are the best work outs I've ever had. It's 30 minutes of hard core intense workouts with short rest periods. This enables the heart rate to stay elevated, almost like running for 30 minutes which I never do nor do I want to. I drive from El Dorado Hills to come work out 3x per week. There are multiple class times offered more than any other studio I've checked out. Don't let the 30 minutes fool you into thinking you are not getting a good work out.
