This place has great cocktails, and for the month of May, they transform into Mos Eisley's Cantina with lots of fun Star Wars decor and beverages. This is a speakeasy style bar, so think small and intimate with more elaborate cocktails than your average bar. They use a smoking box to finish The Ember of Mustafar. The staff is friendly and take pride in serving up quality cocktails. Your tab is delivered with a pen inside a Star Wars novel, which I thought was a nice touch. Check it out before the month ends.

Great place, friendly bartenders. Love the creative menu and the smokers. Will definitely be back on my next trip to town.

We have always loved coming here until our last visit. The drinks are always wonderful but the service was terrible! My husband waited in line and was next but then the bartender looked right past him and asked the person what they wanted, which we found to be incredibly rude and disrespectful! What is the point of waiting in a line!? I feel the excessive decorating with owls is also overkill. We get it you guys are "Hoot" and Annie but wake up! Owls are ugly and creepy! I will only come here again if it is happy hour or severe discount pricing!

We were hoping to find a Christmas bar in downtown Round Rock and found exactly what we wanted at the first place that we strolled into! They had great decor and vibes! The drinks we had were all really good, great craft cocktails. I had the Baby Owl Always Love You cocktail and it was perfect! The bartender was nice and helpful! Perfect festive holiday stop!

We enjoyed the Harry Potter themed pop-up bar and how wonderfully decorated the quaint little nitch was displayed-very authentic!

My daughter and I went on the very last day, but were so thrilled at how authentically decorated the little nitch was-it was perfect!

Been dying to check this spot out and it did not disappoint. We are HP and bomb cocktail buffs so this place was truly magical. We came on their busiest day, a Saturday night, so my one and only complaint is how crammed it is because it's a small spot. Ironically, I have been to all the bars next to here and never noticed this spot (ironically goes with the platform 9 3/4 theme). We came at 11 pm and were able to snag a table from a group who was leaving thankfully. We were only going to stay for one drink, but they blew us away so we all got two rounds to try new ones. All of the cocktails are priced super fair if anything lower than normal prices for the amount of work and talent they put into them. Espresso martini: 11/10 - comes in extra chilled glass Smokey old fashion: 10/10 - let us carry the smokey box to the table (never had a bar allow that, super nice and chill of them) Confringo: 10/10 - a party of flavors in your mouth Bourbon Renewal: 10/10 - The bartender said it could be a hair on the sweeter side which I don't like so he nulled the sweetness and it came out PERFECT. They really outdid themselves with the atmosphere. The bartenders were all extremely kind and did not have an ounce of douchebaggery that typically comes with a really talented barista. We live in Manor and don't typically like coming out to Round Rock area to drink, but this spot is totally worth it for us. Look forward to coming back during a more chill time to really enjoy it.

Excellent craft cocktail bar with a fun vibe in downtown Round Rock. It actually shares a space with the Tavern and is closest to the corner with outside seating. The indoor area is dark and comfy. The bartenders are knowledgeable, friendly and fast.

One of the better coffee cocktails I've had in the Austin metro area! Glad there's a place that is open closer to home that makes higher quality elevated craft cocktails. They've got different themes during Halloween and Christmas to be sure to visit then as well!

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. I ordered the Latin Burger which consisted of an angus beef patty, served on a bed of melted cheese, accompanied by caramelized onions, bacon, tomato and lettuce. It is super juicy since the meat is bought fresh from a butcher in Georgetown. It comes with French fries too. I also had a Love Street Draft Beer. The Bichota cocktail was a standout--sweet, refreshing, and with just enough of a kick to keep you sipping slowly. The Old Fashioned was equally impressive: sweet yet balanced, served in a stylish glass with a unique holder that made the experience feel elevated. For food, the chicharrón with fried yuca and tostones was perfection. The pork was fried to a crisp golden shell without being greasy, and seasoned just right--not too salty, but enough to make every bite crave-worthy. The yuca and tostones were cut to the perfect thickness for even cooking, with a satisfying crunch outside and tender inside, especially when dipped into their garlicky sauce. The cheese sticks are an absolute must-have--crispy outside, oozy inside, and dangerously addictive. And the arepas? Exceptionally good--stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and sweet plantains for that perfect salty-sweet balance. Every plate showed attention to texture, seasoning, and presentation. Price Considering the quality of ingredients, creative plating, and generous portions, the prices felt fair for a fusion dining experience. The cocktails were crafted with care and worth every penny. Appetizers could easily be shared, making it easy to get variety without breaking the bank. Environment We sat outside and it was amazing for groups, dates, and inside it is super cool. The décor is not fancy but really fun Austin style. There is a section bar where they play music which I want to try. Service The service was cool and amicable. It looks the server was new but he did give recommendations. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great pairing suggestions. Dishes came out at a good pace, and drinks were refreshed quickly. You could tell the staff was proud of the food they were serving, which made the whole experience even better. Overall: If you're looking for a place where Latin flavors meet creative execution, this spot is worth the visit. Come hungry, order a mix of small plates, and don't skip the cocktails--or the garlic sauce.

With my girlfriend coming into town, I knew it was the perfect chance. We booked a reservation ahead of time using OpenTable, and even though we showed up late, the owners Lawrence and Rachel were immediately friendly and accommodating to us. Located at the Affordable Storage shopping center just north of Hutto, Grapes & Rye is so comfortable inside that you don't even think about it being a converted storage unit. There's plenty of seating for parties of different sizes and chairs that are welcoming and comfortable for long visits. Their menu is impressively expansive with a seasonal fall menu and a regular menu packed with specialty cocktails, classics, and all the liquor needed to make anything you can think of. We were served water immediately once we sat down, which felt very inviting and made me feel welcomed in their space. On their big TV was the Wizards playing the Cavs, and there was the pinnacle of New Jack Swing and R&B playing inside. It was already a fantastic vibe. While we were debating our drinks, Lawrence came by, asked us what we liked, and made picks for us that we trusted. For me, he suggested an Aviation made with gin and maraschino liqueur that was practically glowing when placed in front of me. After my first sip, I patted myself on the back for a drink I didn't even choose. He nailed my preferences perfectly, and on top of that, the drink was one of the most refreshing and well-balanced cocktails I have ever had. As for my girlfriend, she was suggested a Vierre Caureux that she really seemed to enjoy. Our tastes in drinks are pretty different, but we both were very satisfied with Lawrence's suggestions. This led to us asking them about their origins and learning that Grapes & Rye is a passion project of theirs built on their love of bartending and cocktails. They do such a good job that it's hard not to imagine them doing it full time. We hung out for quite a while savoring our beverages before ordering another round. I ordered their Negroni that was easily one of the best Negronis I have ever had. It's so vividly impressive that I immediately want them catering all future events I go to, and I want to see them cater my wedding in like three years time. It's that good. My girlfriend got a Pink Lychee Spritz which she kept saying to me "that's really good" over and over again, showing that it wasn't just me who was impressed by their cocktail mastery. Next time she's in town, I know we'll be back because the drinks here are truly on a different plane of existence. Grapes & Rye has surpassed cocktail hour and become a cocktail experience, making beverages that are next level. They deserve all the success in the world, and it couldn't happen to a better duo. It was just four of us students with Lawrence and Rachel the owners, the perfect hosts. Lawrence explained every step and all the ingredients were measured out in little cups and this gave room for adding more or less of any ingredients, so you could make it your own depending on preferences. It reminded me of how they do this in cooking shows to save time and you can see at a glance all what goes into making a particular cocktail. The class was informative but also really fun. It was very special to have such an engaging experience. I felt among friends at their home. I felt their passion to make tasty imaginative drinks for others to enjoy. As well as teaching anyone interested in learning. A great thing to do for a date or with friends. It's a bit tucked away in an industrial area and their signage is discreet. Suite #28 on the end. That'll make sense once you're there. They've only been at this location since March but Lawrence and Rachel been in business a lot longer and are very knowledgeable in cocktail creations. They mainly do mobile bartending and bring all the bells and whistles to you, including how to make the special drinks. So if you're having a shindig, they're the ones to call to bring the cocktails and skill. I'm so happy to had the opportunity to experience this business and meet the owners.
