This is a great place to meet up with friends. We came here with my family and another couple. There is a large open area to sit at with picnic tables, a stage and lawn games - very family friendly. We came for brunch/lunch time so I ordered a breakfast taco. The food came out very fast and the portions were very big. They didn't look the most appealing but they did taste pretty good, and we had plenty of food leftover. There is also an adjacent restaurant where I believe you can order food from as well. In that restaurant, there are a few arcade games inside. My toddler had a lot of fun playing outside in the lawn area and also was entertained with the arcades after he started getting antsy. My girlfriends & I went on crawfish Sunday! It was packed. They had 3 different DJ & music was fun . The place has inside arcade. Outside is a stage & many seating. There is a covered patio which they do take reservations for large groups. Sports wise they do have huge tv screen to watch football/ baseball. I'm sorry y'all I do not get it. We went because we used to be obsessed with Recuerdos, I was craving their fajitas and queso. We planned to sit inside but my word, inside was disgusting, so loud, and full of unsupervised young kids. We ended up sitting outside, no one said a word to us, not a word. We figured out how to scan the menu and order. Food came and the queso was more like beer queso you want for pretzels it was not recuedros queso just for those going for that. Kids meal was $10, came with fries and 2 chicken tenders, they were thin one of our girls wouldn't eat them, no drink that we know of as no one helps us. The tacos were packed in a tin and were so greasy it ruined the other tortillas. My carne guisada was huge chunks of pure fat. We left after spending $100, tipped 15% because I couldn't bring myself to do less but other than someone running the food to us the did nothing. We did self serve water and the flies were so bad (as to be expected outside) we had to just throw away stuff as we were "done" with it so nothing for them to even clean up. We left disappointed and hungry. I truly do not understand where the 4-5 stars are coming from. Service was non existent, atmosphere was run down and dirty, food was sub par at best. Two stars only because of I was in my mid 20's and looking for a place to watch a UT game it was totally my vibe. But other than the Vision it is a 0-1 star for me. We met up with two other families here and really enjoyed the patio space for a few hours with our kids. It is super convenient because you can order with a QR code at the table and they bring out your orders quickly. You can also easily serve a large group with separate orders the way they have set it up. This is a great place to go if you have children with you. Not only can you bring kids but you can bring your dogs too! There is an outdoor area where you can sit with your dog and listen to live music while your kid plays arcade games inside! It is kind of self serve unless you order food or drinks but then they drop it off to your table and walk away. No one checks on you which I found lovely so you aren't pestered but obnoxious service staff. Parking is ample but it can be tricky if you go on a weekend. We always have a great time here and their drinks are pretty reasonable, about $5 for a beer or if you want a mixed drink $13. Located in downtown Round Rock, this place kind of reminds me of a Rainey Street bar, but way more casual and family friendly. They have a great outdoor area with lawn games and big TV screens to watch some sports. They have a great beer tap selection and also serve standard bar food. The food is pretty average and I would come here more to hang out and have a beverage. We've been here twice and it is more enjoyable during a non busy day when it is not crowded. The other time we came was during St Patty's day and it was way too packed - not really enjoyable for families. They also have an indoor arcade area for the kids to keep them occupied. This place is super cool for the parents that like to get out and enjoy a cold one but can't get their babysitter to come through. The bartenders were all really friendly and made the drinks fast. My favorite was the pixie stick. I liked that you can pick your table and order straight from the QR code stickers at each table. Backporch Social is a nice family-friendly addition to downtown Round Rock. The backyard outdoor setup is nicer than expected. There's a lot of shade and fans to make even a hot day bearable. We really enjoyed the big screen setup (which screens sports matches with good sound) and the cornhole games. The arcade inside is pretty big, but it lacks substance. Most of the options are rigged "prize-winning" games that are stocked with bargain-bin knockoff products. My daughter and I really enjoyed the skeeball game and the basketball game, and those are very reasonably priced. Service at the bar was friendly, but I wasn't a fan of the drinks. The margaritas were too sweet with pours that were extremely light. For $12+ a drink, they were disappointing. As a hangout spot with kids, Backporch was a pretty solid option. Plenty of parking, nice back patio for adults to drink, plenty of drinks to choose from on tap, nice small arcade and play area outside so it's fun and cool. There was no communication, no apology until someone called them out, and overall it felt like the staff just didn't care. I overheard someone I believe was the owner brushing the whole situation off like it was a joke. As a business, especially one that invites the community out, you should be prepared and professional. Mistakes happen, sure--but ignoring people, laughing it off, and offering no real solution or explanation is unacceptable. Do better. Since we found out about this place, we've been coming here constantly. It's really an awesome place, the drinks are great prices, food is great, nice little outdoor area with some games. We timed the period between ordering our drinks from the app and it arriving and it was 42 seconds. Incredible. I reviewed it a bit ago and after coming on a Friday evening I have a couple things I want to mention: they do have live music, which is awesome.. the area isn't big, so even though that music is great, it's wayyyyyyy too loud.. you could easily just have a singer with a mic and a guitar with no mic and be perfectly fine . We asked twice to turn it down as every single family there had a baby with them and it was out of control loud. Also this last time we went, there was a total infestation of bees, like hundreds of them, which we swatted away as necessary, but as I see this place being pretty awesome and essentially brand new, I would expect they'll adapt to these kinds of things. Overall, we love it here, if you can convince the bands to just not use amps since it's a tiny area and mitigate the insects, this will be the place to be every weekend for us read more

This is a new place that just opened up in downtown Round Rock and it's already my new spot for Football and baseball games. The sound is the best around and the atmosphere is epic.
