I probably won't be back to this location. It went downhill over the last couple years. There were 6 "waitresses" on the floor, mostly leaning against the counters or just chatting. I waited over 15 minutes for one to visit my table after sitting. I almost walked out. I get my 10 pieces of boneless chicken wings, and they are MUCH smaller now. Smaller than McDonalds Chicken nuggets. I don't expect this place to last long at this rate. To think I used to like this place boggles my mind. read more

My husband and I where out on a date during the late afternoon Saturday. He talked about how good the HOOTERS in Down Town Chicago was. Because we where in Melrose Park, after the movies he decided to take me there. We walked in everyone very busy conversation with each other, so we waited about good 5 Min's. to be notice. A young lady decided to lead us to a section we did not like, so we asked her if we can sit to a spot we felt comfort with. As we sat there, WE WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED, a good 15 Min's., we asked who is waiting on us. SO FINALLY this young lady FINALLY came to us. We ordered FOOD was not good, service was OK. If I could I would give this location negative from the way I was treated. I went here with my family for dinner Saturday night, and received the worst service ever in my life. After we was greeted and seated, we sat for close to 20 mins before anyone ever came over to table to start our order. He came to at least take our order for our drinks and had someone else bring them out. After we were giving our drinks, NO ONE ever came back to take our food order. While sitting there waiting, 2 other parties came in had their orders taken and received there food. After complaining to the hostess about not having a server we, were still ignore and never served. After waisting a little bit over an hour total of my life at this place, we decided to leave. I have been a loyal customer to this Hooter's location for years. This last time I went was the last straw for me. I absolutely love crab legs. I would eat it everyday if I could. I order crab legs from Hooters at a minimum of 3 or more times a month. So I ordered one last time this month. I always have to ask for extra butter and lemon because they never put it in there when I ask. I usually don't check the crab legs because I didn't feel that I needed to. I got home and looked at the crab legs. I was utterly disappointed! They were very skinny and there was no heck in the way that was 1 pound! The crab legs looked like they were scraps from broken crab legs. So I called the manager. His name is Mike. I told him the situation and he was like: Well, it's 1 pound. All orders are pre-weighed. I asked him can I take a picture and send it to him. He said no. He didn't even try to rectify the situation or anything. I got so mad that I hung up on him. You know what though. Problem solved! I will not be going to that Hooters ever again for crab legs, wings or anything else for that matter. I'll be going somewhere else for my crab leg fix! read more

From the moment you enter this joint you would be wondering repeatedly if you made a correct choice. There will be a while before they even notice you. Even when finally seated, please don't get your hopes up. You will have enough time for sure to get to know your poorly wiped, scratched table top, the condiments rack and the menu long before someone finally approaches you to take your order. Sometimes while chewing on their gum , rarely while smiling or even making an eye contact. It seems like they have trouble concentrating to write anything down. If an order contains more then 3 items or some variation ie no onions or sour cream in the salad: watch out, it is almost certain that it will be filled incorrectly. I used to go there to get some shrimp or cesar salad, or wings. The steamed shrimps are OK but the wings or Bufalo shrimps are pretty oily. The drinks seem watered down. It is better just to get a beer. There are few nice waitresses here but there are many who act like they almost won a local country fair beauty contest. They seem stock up, respond in monosyllables and eventually ignore you unless you just parked your Lamborgini after winning a PGA golf tournament in front of their venue. The cleanliness of the place should raise curiosity of some health inspectors. The food serving area in particular has so many French fries on the floor that they can be picked up with a shovel. The bathroom area is not much better either. If you had troubles identifying the small brown insects on the floor, don't worry, you may have a chance for a positive ID later on. Just please look more closely at your own plate. I saw one specimen with his antennae fully preserved!. If you ask to see the manager, to complain that the food is not edible, you may hear a surprised reaction and assertion that "the manager will not eat this either". And when you get back home and reach for Mylanta or similar medication please forget about the tea spoon doses. You may need few table spoons or even good gulps to silence your burning stomach. If I could give no stars I would. We ordered ahead of time, since we get a 30 minute lunch for work, and that way we could eat at the restaurant and save time. It was an argument to let us do that, and their concern was that we werent going to tip their waitress. Apparently, its against policy, but no where does it state this. The girl helping us just kept saying its against policy and didnt offer a manager until we demanded one. He kept saying its not a problem or concern because its their possible. Finally, they let us do that, except we had to seat ourselves, since everyone doing nothing had better things to do, like standing around. We went there within the first hour of opening, so it wasnt busy, but had 8 waitresses standing around, and a host not being a host. The Thai wings that we got had no sauce on them, so we asked for sauce like its supposed to have, and got charged extra. If you are trying to get yelled at and disrespected by a MANAGER for asking a question this is the place for you. We placed an order through Uber eats, called to ask why we couldn't place kids meals on the order he stated it's not allowed, I proceeded to ask if I could pick up my order is there anything I need to do to switch it to pick up instead of delivery he immediately got EXTREMELY rude, raising his voice and giving a horrible attitude, his tone of voice was ridiculous. When we stated we would be there to pick up our food in 20 minutes and we would like his name and corporate number he said "I don't care". On our way there he cancelled our order only for the fact that he was upset about the situation. When we got there and asked him for his name and corporate number he said "Why can't I just help you?!" But with the most rude attitude ever. We responded with "No thank you, you were helpful enough on the phone" he laughed and said "Oh you, Yeah that's why I cancelled your shit" very loudly in front of a restaurant full of customers. As we walked out the door he proceeded to trash talk us to his employee. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Definitely shouldn't be a manager or in any type of customer Service. I frequent hooters regularly so this review is not coming from some 1 timer who had a bad experience. You walk in and you're seated almost immediately if they have room, if not you have to wait (just like every other restaurant) but the longest I've waited was probably 10 minutes. You sit down, the waitress gets your drink order, comes back with your drinks and order food. It usually takes a while to get the food out if there's a party of 3 or more (depending on what you get) but you can sit around talk and drink while you wait. I always get the hot wings when I go, they always taste the same and that's GREAT! The curly fries are a must too. Foods good, service is good, and to top it all off you got some very pretty waitresses (Although this only pertains to the males). If you never been there I suggest you give a shot, maybe on wednesday when it won't be packed and they got a good deal on boneless wings and fries. read more

This place is gross. The wings are disgusting and the girls are not hot. They are very nice, I will give them that. The service isn't bad, but honestly I was so disappointed. I met with a couple of friends my idea of course which I now regret!! First we ordered the Mexicurley fries for an appetizer and the fries were super cold and we sent them back. The waitress was actually very nice since I've gone in other occasions and saw that males get the nice service LOL!! Then my friend ordered steamed Oysters and she was freaked out by the little crabs in it! We made the manager aware and he offered a new batch. I visited the Melrose Park Hooters last night.I ordered a 12 piece of chicken strips and a small order of onion rings, which was almost $25.00 and the strips were extremely salty and the onion rings were soggy. I normally patronize this particular location because in the past the service and food was good.
