I have a wonky schedule, and the clinic has been flexible with my scheduling appointments as well. They have had a faster turnaround time than the larger clinics I used to go to (for reference: I established care with Dr. Schenoist within 1-2 weeks of my initial phone call. and if I had an urgent need, I could get in for an appointment within the week. by contrast- if I dared do that with the larger clinics like CHI Franciscan or Virginia Mason, I was waiting MONTHS for an appointment to be seen.) I am so grateful to Dr. Scheinoist and his team.

Everything has healed quickly and magnificently, and I have honestly never experienced complications with his work. Dr. Sorensen is also very personable and enjoyable to visit with. . I have always felt important and worthy of his time during appointments. When my husband broke his foot last year, I did not hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Sorensen. The doctor fit us into his schedule despite late notice, and still spent a lot of time describing the surgery procedure and healing process to us. Dr. Sorensen was very honest and upfront about the realities of the surgery, but also helped us to see the benefits of it. My husband has healed marvelously and we will definitely continue our visits to our favorite podiatrist.

It took three calls for me months after the MRI to even get the results. I was told I needed to have some surgery and they would have the surgical center call me. That was November of 2023. It is nearly May 2024. I'm over it, this place doesn't follow up or is understaffed, or just plain doesn't care. Not sure which but it's really frustrating. They also don't answer the phones half the time. Go somewhere else if you want decent care.

The home visits are $75 compared to $20 at doctors office. She was in the hospital due to a fall and rehab so did not have service for A SHORT WHILE. When she resumed her appointments, she had a different nurse who she felt was not a good fit. I tried to schedule another nurse and was basically told they could not look up what nurse it was or when her last appointment was, they were really busy, do not come to her city much (but they come to a large senior center, many senior living communities, and a hospital all in the city they claim they don't come to.) I was told it was really like a "favor" to come and charge $75 for an in home nail trim and they are really too busy. Needless to say I will be finding a new company and nurse who are not too busy to provide services they advertise they provide. As an elder advocate, ombudsman, and professional who works in senior care I am truly disappointed in senior foot care of Puyallup and will not recommend their services any longer.

I cannot give a doctor a low rating if they are doing a great job - too many people write negative reviews for the wrong reasons - but again, super frustrating to not have an office staff that responds promptly, or even answers the phone at all.

But far worse, he gave me an agonizing shot with no warning, sympathy, or explanation that I would shortly be in the worst pain of my life. That was for the extreme advanced arthritis in my toe, which he diagnosed but then told me the only thing to do is more shots or to "clean the joint out" of bone spurs. I saw another podiatrist who will be fusing the joint and also addressing the ingrown toenail. I wish this doctor would go out of business rather than practice with such ignorance and unpleasantness.

I feel I am in a unique position to review this doctor due to the length of time I have been under…read morehis care. Almost 7 months ago I dropped a 700 pound motorcycle on my left leg. This was a very severe injury. Even though the motorcycle was only moving extremely slowly when it fell on my leg it spun my foot completely backward and then crushed it. It broke bones in my leg and my ankle, totally dislocated the ankle and destroyed all the ligaments and tendons from mid-calf down. This took 3 separate surgeries to repair. Today I am coming to the end of my journey under Dr. Scheinost's care, and I could not be happier with his service. Throughout all this time Dr. Scheinost has been the most caring and passionate doctor I've ever engaged. He has been reassuring to me, which I badly needed, and he has been my champion. His temperament and, so called, bed side manner have brought him to a level that is more than just a doctor to me. I am proud to call him my friend. Dr. Scheinost is the quintessential 'people guy'. He has a great humor about him and truly cares about his patients on a personal level as well as the physical. Probably a little known fact; he is not just a surgeon, but a teaching surgeon.
