It is the very good quality and taste of berries I enjoyed as well as personal touch by the owner of the farm. They still have some strawberry left, it is sweet and very fragrant, it is almost like in a famouse Swedish movie " Strawberry Patch", also in the movie is a wild strawberry. We enjoyed our red and black raspberries which are abundant and delicious this year. If you are a bluberry fan, you should come next week for the delicious treat! Bluberry is almost ready; sweat and sour, big and appetizing. The rain did not spoil our experience and a beautiful rainbow was like a prize we received from God. Come to Lititz to enjoy the farm and plenty of wonderful berries. I also collected some berry leaves to make my teas.

For those who don't live in Lancaster, PA; it's a "thing" and a good "thing" at that. There was an overwhelming response for Kissel Hill and so, that's where I vowed to be, on a Saturday, arriving at around 11:15. The barbecue masses, showed up at 10am. I figured this must have been the case, because when I arrived, there were no more leg/thigh combos, grilled sliced potatoes - sold out, except for one, which we snagged (the last potato) and grilled carrots - gone. If you plan on going to an Amish barbecue stand, get there EARLY. The consensus (among myself & hubby), potato - under cooked, chicken lacked essential flavors derived from smoke and brining, meat wasn't as tender as was expected, completely out of napkins and forks?? Oh crap! Come on Kissel, I know this isn't your first rodeo. Some Amish bbq stands include whoopie pies, this was not one of them. Sadly, even the roll was not up to par; it was stale. Oh man. No worries, Lancaster County has lots of contenders out there and I aim to try all of them. There is small adjoining market with a ton of apples, onions, potatoes, pie filling, pickles, noodles, baked goods, flowers, dairy items and more.

They have the coolest market with a lot of local produce, baked goods, jams, and fruit butters. A bulk candy section and fair prices. The model toy train is so cute and is a bonus for kids of all ages to watch. It goes around the track at the top of the store and also runs through a track in their sit down restaurant. I will say we decided to eat dinner there and we had the salad bar, and sandwiches. Salad bar had fresh options and delicious soups that tasted homemade. My only disappointment was, Sadly, the eggs in the sandwiches we ordered tasted premade and reheated, not made to order scrambled eggs and they tasted like they could have been powdered? Overall though, it was a nice time. The restaurant is also family friendly and accessible for those with disabilities that may require a wheelchair. The staff seemed friendly and our service was very good. Not a long wait time. Overall it's a wonderful establishment and the market is incredibly loaded to the rafters with goodies sure to please everyone. The Ice cream for dessert was delicious too. Stopped at Aldi's for a few things after not finding them at the discount store down the street…read more Although Giant is next door I choose Aldi's because I like their cut mangos. They cut them at the peak of perfection and for only $3.99 a package it's a healthy affordable snack. Giant tends to cut theirs too early and therefore never ripen properly. Aside from mangos I needed almond milk, hamburger, chicken thighs, and fresh cilantro. I'm not really a fan of Aldi's because it's hard to do a weeks' worth of shopping here plus the deposit on the cart and not offering free bags is a nuisance. This was my first time at this location. I was surprised to see the fresh produce was picked thru. Many selections were empty. Including my beloved sliced mangos and cilantro. The meat dept was priced really high, but I was able to find organic, grass fed hamburger at a reasonable price and much less than non-organic which makes no sense. I had my own bags with me but the 2 half gallons of milk were heavy and awkward to hold and carry. There was only one lone cashier and the line extended into the shopping isle. A customer that was checking out and at the register was chatting away with the previous customer thus delaying her payment, while everyone in line just stood there. The cashier did nothing to hurry her along. Sighs echoed from all of us waiting and was testing my patience level. When it was my turn I arranged my reusable bags in the cashier's cart so all she had to do was drop the items in after scanning. Instead she proceeded to dump everything in the cart beside my bags. When I asked her to please place them in the bags, she refused, uttering about some customer "policy". I've found other locations will place items in the bags IF you arrange them in the cart. What kind of "policy" is so anti customer service focused that they only have one cashier, who sits down the whole time no less, AND is allowed to refuse to put items in the bags?!? In fact she went out of her way to drop them away from the bag. To dump in the bag or beside it takes the same amount of effort. So now I have to hold up the line scooping my items up myself so she could have her coveted cart back. Ugh! I'm graciously giving 2 stars because they offered hand sanitizer and I do love those mangos. But seriously Aldi's - you need to start putting your customers first!

This spot is only open on Fridays but I was able to make it up from Washington, DC, after having a long weekend with a holiday. My family was totally into this spot. We easily could have spent all day here. Parking can get very busy. We ended up pulling into the grassy lot and walked about 10 minutes to the main market. You'll find everything from toys to crafts to antiques to junk and everything in between. The food is also fantastic. Come hungry. A hit for us was the pulled pork sandwich topped with cooper's sharp at the stand in the middle of the market by the actual auction. My kids never saw an auction and were transfixed. The atmosphere is lively and you'll see just about every type of person imaginable from locals to visitors from cities and other states!

I knew the Green Dragon is supposedly one of the largest flea markets on the east coast, but I was still blown away by the size of the place. There's a whole field of merchants in tents, along with... sheesh, I lost count... at least 5 other buildings. One of which is animal livestock auctions!! I want a goat so bad!! There are a bunch of food vendors, too. Our group decided on burgers. They were a hit. I left with a pound of "pan pudding" (also known as pork pudding, liver pudding) for a friend who loves it but cant find it in Baltimore. It's like scrapple, but has a different starch binding component. I've looked it up several times, trying to understand the difference and still don't really know. I love scrapple, pan pudding is okay. I also bought a dozen duck eggs. Tell me you don't love a good egg yolk... these are bigger. Jeremy says they have a slight gamey flavor but I didn't pick that up. I don't know that I'd buy them again, but they are really tasty. Lastly, I bought two pool noodle swords... for my wedding. We had jousting and swordfighting, on blow up horses and dragons... it was so much fun. Finding those swords was... well I didn't know such things existed, yet there they were, right in my path, waiting for me. Our friends left with a beautiful vintage croquet set. They paid $40 for it, only to get it home and find out its worth well over $400!! SCORE. We had a really great time. I'd definitely go back.
