I requested a copy of my labs, was informed no. I came in with weakness, nausea, vomiting and a fall that day from passing out. Not to mention my headache went from a 3 to a 10, my lower right quadrant pain worsened. As a RN myself I know I should have been seen within 30-60 min by provider and placed in a room faster than what was being done. I watched my vitals change as I sat there. Heart rate drop to low 50's, blood Pressure dropped more than 20 pts in 1-2 hours. No one seemed to give two craps. The nurses that were employed were the slowest people I have seen in my entire life. I have worked in numerous states and this hospitals ER was by far the worst I have ever been in! This place should have the doors closed! I will be finding out what's wrong with me and I will be reaching out to someone higher because this hospitals er does not deserve to have open doors. I believe the patients are in danger stepping foot into this place!

I'm deeply disappointed by the recent changes at Piedmont Urgent Care Cartersville, and I want to…read moreshare my experience in case it helps others. During my visit on 03/25/2026, I noticed that the front desk staff now bear much of the burden for explaining confusing new billing practices -- which, frankly, isn't fair to them or to patients. If the facility has switched to a new NPI number or changed how they bill insurance, that should be made clear before the appointment, not after. My insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield IBX) listed this location as in-network, with coverage at 80/20, but suddenly the bill came through under "Well Street," which is out-of-network for me and dropped my coverage to 60/40. For seniors like myself, that's a significant financial hit that we aren't prepared for, especially when we go out of our way to find in-network care. To make matters worse, patients are now required to put a credit card on file or they won't be seen. This feels less like healthcare and more like a trap -- you arrive expecting coverage and clarity, but end up caught off guard by expensive changes and policies that weren't disclosed in advance. I hope the management reconsiders these practices and starts treating their patients with the transparency and respect we deserve.

If their communication was better, and times that were given were ACCURATE, I would have taken my niece else where! Oh, and did I mention that they were RUDE, and CARELESS towards their patients?! WORSE establishment EVER! My advice to those employed at Piedmont Urgent Care in Cartersville Ga, if you don't like your job or profession, FIND A NEW ONE!

Side note, had i been told that when I arrived 1.5 hours earlier it would have been different, but they wait until you are about to be seen and then tell you, sorta leaves you with your hands tied as you're in pain. She gets a hold of her manager and management states if you want to be out of pain you'll do as your told, so I did (as I was in excruciating pain) but I wrote on the form they were forcing me to sign that I was doing this in protest and why, I hand it back to her and again they refuse to see me until I sign a new form without my protest on the form. Again if I wasn't in this much pain for this long I would have walked out. In short they do this in a predatory way as they maje you wait to tell you this after you've been here for a good while, knowing that most people will go ahead and give them a blank check. Please see photos of form that they wouldn't accept. This should be and possibly is highly illegal, and if not illegal it's certainly not ethical!!! Fast foward to the care that was provided. I hope this message will help you guys. But at same time I know that most patients there are old and innocent and that's why they ripped off people. I spoke with front desk Mrs Barbara today, she is a very nice lady, she listened the whole situation from me and try to do the best to help me, but this hospital won't fix their mistakes and insist to charge me for a treatment which I never got. She told me she is doing her job and there is nothing else more that she can do. This place sucks for real, I told her a great example that imagine you are coming to my store to shop, I told you 400$ first then charge you 800 later. If you don't pay me I will give your bill to collection. Easy money so nice. This is what happened on me I hope nobody goes to this place and be set up like me.

Every time I need care, I make sure to check with my insurance first--just to confirm the facility and provider are actually in-network. In January 2026, I visited as usual. When I returned in May for a sinus infection, I paid my $50 copay. This time, though, the front desk told me I had to put a credit card on file. I didn't think much of it--until I saw a $299 charge hit my card. I called the number listed in my Piedmont Wallet and got bounced from one department to another: first the main billing, then corporate billing, then Urgent Care billing. Eventually, someone explained that their billing policies had changed, and while the facility might be in-network, the provider you see that day might not be. I reached out to Blue Cross Blue Shield, who opened two disputes for the out-of-network charges. I'm still waiting to see how that shakes out. In the meantime, I won't go back to any medical office that requires a credit card on file--it feels like handing over a blank check. If they overcharge or make a mistake, you're left fighting for a refund. It's wild that figuring out which providers are actually in-network has basically become a full-time job. With how expensive health care and insurance have become, you'd think things would be simpler--not more complicated.

As a former combat medic I knew what the lump is, a simple lipoma, but over the years it has swollen with fluid so he was concerned. He went in, told them he was elderly (61 years old) unemployed, no insurance and he would have to pay cash if it wasn't too much. They checked him in, looked at the lump, said the couldn't help him, referred him to a dermatologist in Alpharetta (not even close to Cartersville) and charged him $210. This is outrageous! To charge an indigent elderly citizen $210 for a 5 minute visit and give no care, and then refer them to an outside clinic over an hour away....absolute insanity and extremely poor business practice. I used to refer people here but never again, and I will absolutely blast this incident all over every social platform including here, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook and anywhere else I can. Shameful.
