I love this place so much. The owner is an amazing collage artist & she has a charming Antique store . She also celebrates other local artists and has their creative offerings as well! I stop by to pick up some of these collage cards. They always are thought-provoking whimsical, and slopping over with charms . Plus, you're brightening somebody's day with this... And I believe it has artistic merit and you're sending a smile through the mail. A friend of mine gets cancer so often... And I try to distract her with cheerful things. Collage cards make me smile. There's a big chalkboard behind with some great outlook on life quote. ;) I just adore the store and I wish I lived in the area again... but I definitely get to visit the area bunch and I'm thrilled to stop in. I'm happy to sing it praises cause it's pretty wonderful . High on my list . It's definitely the gem of the county. read more

Stopped in at Hope Junction antiques this afternoon, and they had some really nice things. It's a mix of old and new items, but the general feel is that of a cooperative antique store with some newer items mixed in. The first thing I noticed after walking in was the vintage 1955 canoe (complete with the original bill of sale, outlining the parts of the canoe, each with its date of "manufacture" stamped next to it). Pretty darned cool. The main floor includes lots of tools, many of them lovingly restored wood planes. There were also chisels and other tools, all in a large glass cabinet. The other antiques/collectibles (both on the main floor and upstairs) included vintage clothing, hats and hatboxes, gloves, purses; books and magazines; a display of milk glass; small bottles and ceramic items; some stoneware; old metal license plates; a life-size wood and wool sheep figure; some wooden furniture; and a large toboggan. Among the non-antique items, there were wooden signs and names made from Scrabble letters, as well as goat milk soap, and some cool greeting cards made from vintage magazine advertisements. Out on the porch was a life-size carved pig, which is not for sale. The owner, who happened to come out while I was photographing it, said it's sort of a local attraction. Kids sit on it and take pictures. If you are in the area of Hope, NJ, it's definitely worth stopping in. read more

We've shopped here dozens of times over the past three years. This is where we go when we're on the hunt for really unique antiques. They have more items on the second floor. We also visit this store every year during Hope's Christmas Craft Fair. read more

I am a big fan of scrounging antique shops in small out of the way places and Hope, NJ is as good as it gets for small, scenic towns, and Hope Junction Antiques great for scrounging. The owners and shopkeepers Linda and Charles always have hot coffee and munchies to encourage browsing. There is an eclectic mix of furniture, finds, and sundry items from wooden letter press letters, to old washer machines, to jewelry and old embossing tools. Even vintage yarns and fabrics can be found upon occasion. This is a shop that you can check out again and again because you never know what will be there. read more
