This is a pretty farm. I've been there several times. The lower ranking is based on the customer service experience. My spouse and I paid $213 for a dinner at the farm. I tested positive for Covid on Thursday and emailed Monica immediately to request a refund. Not only did she say no, she said that even if I was better, that we cannot attend. She said I have to show no symptoms for 5 days which aren't the actual CDC guidelines. To not even be seated separately at an outdoor event when the CDC released information that 24 hours of no symptoms means I'm good to go is simply rude. My case is mild and by the time the event happens it will have been 3 full days which exceeds the guidelines. We won't be back or recommending this farm. Treat people with empathy especially when they are honest with you. With the rise in Covid cases, I can promise at least one attendee at the dinner has Covid anyway and omitted it. This is such a cute little farm. I thought there would only be a field of lavenders but didn't realize how picturesque the farm is. I could definitely see that as a place to hold a small wedding ceremony. They have a store and it's filled with all things lavender you could think of. I had to hold back from going all out but I had to make sure to pick up the lavender ice cream, which was sooo good. The staff is super friendly and is just so welcoming. I stopped at this farm with my daughter and her friend to check out the lavender and take a few photos. Before coming I read the FAQ and photographer page. The page very clearly says the following: 1) If you are taking photos for personal use it is fine. They pretend to be welcoming of this, in fact, and ask that you tag them on social media if you post photos from their site. Professional photographers and influencers have to pay a $175 fee for two hours and show insurance. 2) They ask you to buy something in their store to help support them 3) There is an entrance fee of $5/person during bloom season I am definitely not a professional photographer and our photos would be for personal use. When we arrived we immediately went to the store and bought some products. I offered to pay the entrance fee, but was told I didn't need to because the lavender was not in bloom. Indeed there was no lavender in bloom, and there were also no other visitors present. The girls spent about 20 minutes eating ice cream and I fiddled around with my camera settings to try to get things right. We then took some photos, which took maybe 20 minutes. Right before we were about to leave, a very rude woman marched up to us and told me, "We have a very strict photography policy." I told her that I had read the policy, and that as long as I am not a professional photographer or influencer and that the photos were for my own use, it was fine. She told me that because I had a real camera and not just an iPhone, she considers it a professional photoshoot. I'm pretty sure that the word professional implies that the photos would be for profit, or that this is my profession, and neither of those things is true, so no...it was not a professional shoot. I would also like to restate that there were no other visitors present while we were there, so we were disrupting nothing. In fact, if they had accepted the $5/pp entrance fee I was willing to pay, they would have made almost $30 total for the entrance fee plus ice cream while having to do absolutely nothing. We would have left in good spirits, tagged them on social media, all would have been well. Needless to say, we will not be returning and we will not be recommending this place to anyone. Aside from how unnecessarily rude this woman was, if she doesn't want anyone taking photos, they need to make this clear on their website, as we were well within the stated policies on her website. read more

Outstanding Venue for a Wedding! We had our son and daughter-in-law's wedding there just this past weekend. Absolutely gorgeous! Our guests LOVED this venue! Monica, the property owner, is incredibly sweet and kind. She answered any and all questions we had, making the planning process so smooth. Monica is exceptionally accommodating and helpful, always ensuring that everything met our expectations. She truly takes pride in her property, which is evident in its pristine condition. I came here on a Sunday morning with a group of 5 people. What's great about the place is that it's not crowded especially if you go in the morning. Also, they don't charge admission which was great. The grounds were beautiful and definitely ideal for an outdoor wedding. The lavender field was small but you could still get great pictures of the lavender. There's a gift shop where they sell lavender products and lavender ice cream. The lavender ice cream was delicious (not too strong lavender if you're worried it would taste like soap) and you get a large portion for $5.00. I would definitely come back next summer for lavender season. read more

Giving two stars because the place is clean and well taken care of. Today was my second visit to this farm, and I am extremely disappointed. The very first time I visited, the lady in the shop was EXTREMELY rude to me for no reason what so ever. It made me uncomfortable. I decided to visit again, hoping that maybe she had a bad day, but NO - it was even worse than the first visit. I purchased a lavender syrup (do not waste your $17 - it tastes more like vanilla) and lavender ice cream (very good). At checkout I asked if the field was closed as there were no one there to which I got a nasty response that I have to wait and pay for my purchase and then they will CHARGE ME admission fee. Admission fee for what?? I made a simple observation stating out loud (big mistake) that there was no admission charge last year to which I was "explained" very simply "there is now!" with a whole lot of attitude. Just pure garbage customer service. Will not be coming back, going to check out the Milford farm instead. read more

Every once in awhile, if you're very lucky, you get to experience a place like this; a place that embodies the phrase "labor of love:" After a long day of apple picking, hubby, Mom, kid and I pulled up here with no clue what to expect. We were greeted warmly by Monica, one of the owners. She took us on an informal tour of the grounds, with the surprising highlight turning out to be a chicken coop, producing uber-fresh eggs that were sold on site. Those chickens were treated better than some children (sadly!), and had imprinted on Monica as their Mama. Since it was fall, the lavender wasn't in bloom, but it was still interesting to see the plants and hear some background on how the Farm got started. Monica, apparently, is a cancer survivor with a new lease on life and wanted to give up her soul-sucking job for something more meaningful. (Keep in mind I am totally paraphrasing here.) So a lavender farm it was. We spent quite a bit of time poking around in the Farm's quaint lavender-themed tsotchke shop, settling on some dried lavender filled sachets and a bottle of lavender-infused simple syrup, which we were told is featured in a specialty cocktail at one of the restaurants in the area. We chatted at length with Monica and her equally friendly husband, both of whom exuded a genuine niceness you don't come across every day. Hubby, Mom and I found ourselves rooting for them to succeed. Would love to return in June to pick some lavender when it's in full bloom. read more

Very quaint, calm place. Easy to find and no problem parking. There's a little inn you can stay in; I'd love to do that in the future! The lady who seemed to be the owner helped me learn how to cut lavender properly, and then I cut my own bunch of lavender to take home. This local lavender farm is a fantastic spot for adults to stop. Nestled in the woods of Warren County, this little oasis boasts a beautiful home with lavender fields that beckon any visitor to come and be entranced by the unique setting. I would not recommend visiting with children. My oldest was admonished by the owner for something she did not do, standing nearly 5'10" it appeared my sweet, gangly tween was standing on her stairs, as the woman corrected, my child came away mortified and still talks about how upsetting it was to this day. Pairing a home with business is tricky and while this has potential I would be cautious visiting as a family. read more

My sister had recommended that my fiance (now my husband) looked at this farm back in summer 2018. They have a lovely gazebo, rows upon rows of fresh lavender, comfortable Adirondack chairs to relax in, and a cute country store for all your lavender needs. We had our first look photo shoot at this farm on 6/15/2019 and it was just as beautiful as our first visit! Monica was accommodating and guided us throughout the process. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the farm really speaks for itself. Pictures don't do the farm justice; even if the lavender isn't in full bloom, there are plenty of spots to take breathtaking photos. I highly recommend this location for engagement, first look or even wedding ceremony photos! read more

I told the owner it was my birthday and she still had the nerve to inflict stress on me, On top of that it's false advertising, don't come here during September August because the lavender is not Grown fully, it is at your feet if they want to pay for your health bill for a tick , To smell it on your hands and knees. I hope their so-called business or home that she declares has insurance to cover that. If you come from out of town they don't have the same respect for you and I can buy and sell their property, correct the problem or eventually stand corrected. I must admit to you I love peace so much, the owner had nothing to do with peace and I'm good at reading people, My grandmother owned the first farm in Brooklyn 1890 and was a principle by her peaceful spirituality setting young hearts to happiness, of a leading saint elementary school. Severely dissapointed, and the female should have peace within her, before she even remotely tries to sell it. It was like she was plotting to yell at me, because the store closes at 5 pm, and she stayed open- to yell at me on a peaceful tranquil commerce you claim? You opened it to the public. Interesting that I'm not the only person who feels there is something seriously unsettling about the owner/lady who works in the shop. I approached a bottle of lavender oil labeled as TESTER which in my experience of using essential oils is usually inhaled or placed onto the wrists which I quickly did and overlooked our new rules regarding COVID. Well I quickly found myself in a situation where I was getting a lecture from a condescending stranger. Her tone was unacceptable. She said "two things"..."1. *pause* there's a pandemic" I'm gonna stop right there. That's NOT the way to provide education regarding why one shouldn't put that on their skin if in fact you were qualified to teach me. You are not. Please explain to me who DOESN'T know that there is a pandemic right now? The fact that she felt it was right and appropriate to say that to me is beyond words because this could've been handled in a much better way. I wish you could see the look on her face when she said it....I even stopped her and said "ok I understand" and then proceeds to number two...yeah I'm not listening after you decided to OPEN with that line. I'm not your daughter that you can just scold AND where did you get that sense of entitlement from to talk to people who you don't know that way? Do better. I could've responded to this woman in a number of ways....but sadly I realized quickly as well that she probably wouldn't have felt she was wrong in any way. Sadly I can't relate to that misery. Wow! This place is a must. I come here often on a Friday through Sunday for either a massage which they have an occasion under there gazebo or just to relax or do some work. I cannot begin to express what an amazing morning I had with one of my gf's here today! We had been talking for so long about making a trip over to visit and check it out but, you know, life. It just never happened. Time passed and I moved away. Well today, for a separate reason, I actually needed to go to the farm. So, we decided to meet up before hand and she would go with me. Well. LET. ME. TELL. YOU! It was beyond our expectations! First, this morning was absolutely beautiful. It was a nice crisp morning as we begin to usher in the Fall season. While we learned that the lavender is usually in bloom in June / July, it was still one of the most relaxing and beautiful experiences! There are so many cute nooks to just sit and relax or wander and explore! There are even opportunities for social distancing so if that is your concern, it won't be a concern here! Then, there's the shoppe!! O.M.G! There are so many novelties and trinkets it's hard to focus on a single item. And while you will spend most of your time looking waist height and lower, don't forget to take the time to look up at the divine lights and crystals hanging from the lights. Take the time to tempt your sweet tooth with lavender ice cream or cupcakes (I can't lie, my cupcakes did not make it home!). I also picked up some Dragon Lavender tea which I cannot wait to try as well as some Lavender Pear simple syrup which I did sneak a taste and it is DIVINE. I have so many plans for this! I also picked up some other lavender treasures such as linen spray and essential oil which I will break out later today. All in all, 7 hours later we are still texting each other about what an amazing morning it was and we are planning our next trip back! My daughter had her wedding ceremony here in August 2020. It was perfect - even with threats of rain storms! Monica and her husband were so kind and helpful. It was as if we were old friends by the way they treated us - it was actually sad to leave! They made her special day just perfect right down to the last details. The gift shop had awesome items including lavender ice cream! Beautiful grounds and ceremony area that they obviously work hard to maintain very well. I have been looking forward to visiting since they opened last summer. The local post office had some lavender that was purchased from there and the postal lady told me they were purchased 6 months ago yet the lavender scent was still strong. Unfortunately I work on weekends and by the time I get home, they are closed, however they did tell me appointment can be made to visit. I went in yesterday because I needed a birthday gift for a colleague and figured this would be perfect, something local that she wouldn't find anywhere else. The store had a country general store look, very quaint. Monica, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming upon entering. I had explained I was looking for a birthday gift and she offered quite a few suggestions and which one was their popular seller. I ended up purchasing the bath salt, soap bar, lotion, sachet and the lavender infused syrup which can be used for cocktails or lemonade. Her husband, Jim came in and they began to tell me the history of the orchard and advised me to come back when the lavender bloom because the fields will all be purple.
