Suggests getting full-spectrum desk lamps. So...I order two of them from Verilux (the first thing that came up in Google). They're wonderful. So wonderful, that I continue to order from the company. I especially love their UV sanitizing wand -- although I have no way to prove that it works -- I'm pretty confident that it does. Fast forward to right now. One of the desk lamps dies. Remembering that they guarantee their products, I call Verilux and let them know. Without even having to ask, a new lamp is promised to me despite that line being discontinued. He also occasionally brings along his older sister/ mother/ aunt to help, and she's free of charge! He definitely doesn't use "green" products but, really, who gives an eff. Besides, anything short of bleach and hydrogen peroxide isn't going to the trick for the type of work we require of him. He won't leave the place sparkling, but it'll be sanitary, and that's what counts.

My fiance and I went to New York City for the weekend to celebrate our engagement and while we were…read moregone, I decided it would be nice to have a "deep clean" of our home even though I had never hired a cleaning service before. I had enviously seen Patch's Green Clean Service come every week to my neighbors house with kids for the past year and finally decided to see the cost of having them clean our house. I thought our house was already pretty clean (no kids, no carpets, only 1 cat and not a lot of clutter) . . . but I was wrong! I have a history of back surgeries so scrubbing floors and bathrooms is very hard for me. When we came home from our trip, our house was practically glowing! The floors were whiter than when we originally moved in the year prior and every room was completely allergy free (they moved all our furniture to really get all the dust out from under everything) and sparkling. They even took apart our oven to truly clean in and now it works again (the gas jets had been clogged), just in time for our Thanksgiving cooking! The deep clean was a GREAT investment and Greg said yesterday that "we are never going back to not having our house professionally cleaned ever again" and I couldn't agree more. It wasn't even that expensive compared to the work they performed and time they spent. I highly recommend the deep clean service from Patch's Green Clean Service and they are very nice people also.
