Verilux, you rock! You rule! You rock and rule! Rewind to four years ago. A visitor to our home unceremoniously declares that the "lighting sucks" in our offices. Suggests getting full-spectrum desk lamps. So...I order two of them from Verilux (the first thing that came up in Google). They're wonderful. So wonderful, that I continue to order from the company. I especially love their UV sanitizing wand -- although I have no way to prove that it works -- I'm pretty confident that it does. Fast forward to right now. One of the desk lamps dies. Remembering that they guarantee their products, I call Verilux and let them know. Without even having to ask, a new lamp is promised to me despite that line being discontinued. "We'll find one around here for you. If we can't, we'll give you a call to discuss another kind." Our new lamp shows up in only a few days! Yay!!!! Illuminated desk: good! Thank you Verilux! I absolutely LOVE my Happy Light! The customer service was fantastic and over the top helpful! After grilling them with product questions, I picked a lamp perfect for my office, it arrived quickly without any issues and has made a tremendous difference in my daily routine. Thank you Verilux! I originally loved their desktop lamp bc I have an older model that have given me 10 yrs of trouble-free service. Within a few months of moderate use of the current desktop lamp the head has become almost completely detached from the control arm. This current model is made in China and not Taiwan like the older (more durable) one. I contacted customer service and the best they can offer is for me to return it but $14 for S&H plus my cost of postage out there is obviously not worth it. DO NOT BUY. This lamp is far more expensive than comparable daylight lamps and yet is completely inferior in quality. I'm only sorry that I recommended them to so many people over the years. The company has gone down the tubes and their warranty policies are useless. read more

I purchased a Verilux lamp 8 years ago and, in December, tried to buy a replacement bulb for a lamp in my vacation home. The customer service person could not help me find the right bulb, so I did my best. Now, 3 months later (when I'm back), the bulbs are 4 inches too long, and Verilux will not take them back. (They cost $25 each). Do not buy anything from this company. Ever. read more
