Ordered a Roast Beef Sub. I asked for cheddar cheese and was told they do not carry it, so I asked for Provolone cheese. I asked for horseradish sauce and was told they don't have that. Drive the 10 miles to pick up our order - $61.00. Drive 10 miles home and discover the Roast Beef and Provolone Sub is actually a Turkey and Provolone Sub. I call and the person tells me to bring the sub back and they will make the correct sub - so another 20 miles of driving to have them fix their screwup. I have a better solution. I have driven past this place on the way home from work for months and was finally hungry enough to stop in for a slice. BIG MISTAKE. Just the worst in conveyor belt pizza. Ordered two slice which were $2.50 a slice no topping, over $5 with tax. Once the server had taken my $ I noticed a "special" two slices and a drink for the same $5. Asked if she could amend my order to include the drink and she told me that only the manager could do that and the manager that could do that wasn't on duty. I recommend not patronizing a place that does not take care of their customers. If you are open till 8PM, that means you take care of customers till you close. It's common for people who live in or around Philadelphia to argue over who makes the best cheesesteak. The true cheesesteak connoisseur always has a favorite little joint that simply crushes a lousy tourist trap like Gino's or Pat's. If you want my two cents, the best cheesesteak is from Hopewell Sub & Pizza in Bridgeton, New Jersey. It's a roadside gem off Rt. 49 in a South Jersey town that I zip through on the way to the shore. I can't vouch for their pizza or other food, because I always get the cheesesteak. They come in half or whole (approx. 10 inches vs. 20 inches). They make them the way I like them: Perfect chewy Italian roll (locally baked I'm guessing), stuffed with quality chopped steak and ample melted cheese. They do American cheese by default, which I prefer. The inside is nothing fancy, but there are booths with table service and couple of TVs. It's kept very clean, including the bathrooms, and the employees work fast and seem nice enough. read more

First and last time I will go to this place. Ordered Special#2, 20 wings, a large pizza, and a 2-liter. Also ordered one slice while I waited. After 20 minutes, I reminded them that I wanted that slice before my order got done. Another 10 minutes and I finally had my slice. Mushy crust. I'd rate the crust a 2 out of 10. The sauce was not as bad. Reminded me of Ragu (6/10). An ample amount of cheese which would be considered as extra cheese on most pizzas gets a score of 10/10. Finally got my order after asking them for the status of my order. It appears like they forgot or misplaced my order and had to do some fancy footwork, giving me a pizza from someone else's order. 47 minutes to get my order. The lack of organization and quality of the pizza plus the length of time rates this place near the bottom. Not recommended. read more

If your craving microwaveable dinners, food thats half cooked, dough thats been reused for weeks, or your just looking to relive those long gone school lunch days, this place wont disappoint. Not a family atmosphere at all. Group of 6, 20-25 year olds swearing up a storm with young children in the room. Not one employee asked them to quiet down, watch the language or anything. I love Hopewell Pizza!!! The staff there are professional and kind. I am sick and couldn't cook dinner so I ordered my children pizza for dinner. I went to leave to pick the pizza up and discovered I had a flat tire. I couldn't find a ride, so I called the restaurant to cancel my order. They kindly said it was okay and that THEY were sorry. A few minutes later I get a phone call, ID Hopewell Sub and Pizza. The young lady on the phone tells me that the manager will be dropping off my pizza for me. They don't even deliver anymore. I worked here when I was in high school and this is the place to eat! It's always nice to see the same management running a business that usually tells you they know what their doing. Hopewell Sub has the best subs! They are really big and loaded with the fixins! They are famous for their belly buster! I never tried it but everyone that does loves it. The restaurant is very clean and the workers are friendly. Their pizza is awesome too!! I wish they had deliver when I was younger because we would have always been ordering. read more

They have the best subs, their stromboli is so so but that's just a matter of my personal preference. They are really busy yet proficient and their orders are computerized so I've never had a problem with an error on any orders. The staff is younger yet they have good customer service skills. Recently ordered a Stromboli from Hopewell Sub & Pizza and unfortunately it was terrible; the worst I've ever had. First, I'm not sure where they got the idea that Stromboli is a pizza folded in half. Maybe their cooks should take advantage of the Internet and Google the actual look and content of a Stromboli since they're apparently clueless. Also, the insides should be thick with cheese and whatever meats you order on yours not the basically empty shell that I was given. I've had pizza that had more content on it than this Stromboli had in it. It would be nice if they learned how to make this properly as there aren't a lot of options in this area. Food is good, but service leaves a little to be desired. We frequently order take out from here and they don't give you an accurate estimate of how long it will take for your order to be ready. I have waited in the restaurant for 30 minutes to pick up an order that I called ahead for. It would be nice if they told you a more accurate time for when the food would be done so you don't have to waste time waiting for it to cook. My wife and I ordered here Friday night and had an excellent meal. I found out my son had invited about 16 kids over to hang out and play around the yard and lake. Being it was around dinner time we ordered two party trays and a belly buster for me and the wife. Thought it was a cheat day so what the heck go for it. Man I am here to say WOW. The belly buster roll alone was worth the cheat. You add the burger, cheese, fried onions, pickles and hot peppers and you have something special. The pizza, I don't really know, it was gone before I had a chance to eat any. Boys and girls between 14-15 leave nothing behind when it comes to pizza. I think they may have even licked the box. The main reason I gave it 5 stars instead of 4 (I believe there is always room for improvement) is because the owner answers all negative remarks. This tells me even though he has ran a successful business in Cumberland County,no small task, for years he still cares about quality and service. Kudos to the for there success. read more
