We enjoyed the conversation and were happy to tip 20$ which felt fair--worth the stop

We stopped here & politely turned down the optional "tour" that we were immediately pressured to take (since we just wanted to just walk around on our own). I told them we were simply going to spend a few minutes there. After about 15 minutes, as we were leaving, we were suddenly, from out of nowhere, verbally assaulted when one man began pounding on our car window and screaming at us. Then, two other Navajo guides (see photo 1)--a man and woman--began yelling at us & threatening us, telling us to "Get the F---- out of here" and "You're not welcome!" THEN IT GOT VIOLENT when one large man (see photo 2) said "You better get the F--- out of here RIGHT NOW," picked up a large rock, and actually threw it at our windshield. It cracked (see photo 3). If it had shattered, my wife would've been covered with glass. We were in shock! It had escalated from nothing at all happening to extreme violence and us being in danger in literally seconds! He then began to walk toward the car and I realized both my wife and I were in serious danger. The guy was like 6'4, 240-275 lbs and in his twenties. I am 65 years old!!! These people are not just pushy, they are extremely violent. We immediately called the police when a safe distance down the road (see photo 4) and are pressing charges. We absolutely in danger. These people practically force you to pay up (when there is no fee, supposedly)--and if you don't pay, then you will be threatened (see other 1-star reviews on YELP detailing violence & aggression & assault) and, as in our case, actually attacked -- they are very violent.

He is a safe & informative guide, understanding the needs of the client limitations. Adrian has a great personality that puts you at ease & we shared some laughs. We found 2 great trails up that were 'hidden' from the public. I had hired a tour guide years ago and never got to the trails Yava-Coco Tours took me on. I also appreciated the respect for 'silent' meditative time & the patience for all my photo taking. Adrian also carried all my supplies so I didn't have to worry about anything. Very worth while hike! Thanks Yava-Coco Tours.. you gotta check out their photos & videos on Facebook! I'll be back! woo hoo! Thanks a bunch

This was my first hiking activity and I was fortunate to have a superior guide, in Bear. He was able to manage a group of mixed abilities and ever make me feel as if I was holding others back. His articulation of safety maneuvers was only eclipsed by his knowledge of the terrain. Although all of this was new for me, I have confidence I can do more. Sedona is fortunate to have his soul lead people through the land to experience the energy.

The highlight of our experience was having Mike as our tour guide. The stars truly aligned for us that day because he was phenomenal. His knowledge, personality, and passion for the land made the tour even more special. Their tour price is about $60 +- an $8 new fee that I believe is set to be implemented soon. The other canyons are $80 and up and more crowded per online reviews, so I went with this one. I had a great time on the tour! My tour guide was super knowledgeable about the land and the canyon, and was also great at getting good photos of people (he knew where all the best spots were and even told folks how to pose at some spots to get the best pics). The tour pickup area is easy to find, they have a big sign by the freeway and you can see through the fence to the large parking area (all red sand/dirt with wooden markers). The place was pretty crowded when I came but it makes sense -- I think most tours sell out for all the canyons any given day/time. Do be sure to come at your time though, and note -- there is a time zone between this area and Page, AZ but the tour company goes off the same time as Page, AZ despite this!!! It says so on their website, and I called the morning of my tour to confirm because I wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally miss the tour by an hour. It's nice if you're staying in Page, AZ because you know the time at the tour is the same as the time where you are (although as you drive closer, note that you will spring forward an hour, and then fall back again if you drive back toward Page after the tour). After you park you check in at the counter, and they tell you where to wait until the vans pick you up. From there, you're assigned to a van and this is your tour group. You ride about 10-15 mins by van to the entrance of the canyon and then your guides take you from there. The whole tour itself takes about 40-50 minutes. Do note that because there are others in your group you have to take turns at some photo spots so just be prepared! And remember that according to Navajo nation laws, you can't take bags into the canyon so make sure you have a water bottle to hold, your phone, and any other small items you might need (e.g. tissues) in your pocket.
