Paid to have a guitar repaired there. Was told it was fixed and the issue was not actually…read moreaddressed at all. The issue was that one of the pickups was quiet in the middle position. I was told when I went to pick it up that they couldn't find anything wrong other than a small piece of metal that they removed must have been cutting the sound out (did not test the guitar in the store just took their word). Come to find out, when I got it home, that the issue is the switch and that both pickups don't come on until the switch is midway between the middle and bridge position...you would think that when paying for a repair this is something they would figure out easily. Complete waste of money. I also asked them to take a look at a fret-buzz and they fully forgot so that was also somewhat annoying (I paid for a setup and repair). Guitar was exactly the same when I got it back down to the same exact fret-buzz. I was so dissatisfied that I refused to even drive back there to get a refund. Ultimately, untrustworthy. I believe whoever did the "repair" was deceitful to me. Now in all fairness, this was a few years back and the same people may not be working there anymore...I just thought of it again when I had to repair the exact same issues myself.

I would spend HOURS going through every row of sheet music books. I found many unique treasures that you would not come across at other stores. Sadly, I discovered that they moved (about 4 years ago, I was told) to a small shopping center next door. I was disappointed that their selection has dwindled to not much more than the ubiquitous Music and Arts stores. Most of their selection is unsurprising. "Easy" editions also take up much of the space, so in the event that you find something interesting, it may be too easy. Gone are the grand pianos. Gone is the room filled with orchestra and band music. Don't get me wrong, it's fine for what it is. It's an OK music store that can probably meet the needs of most young students. More seasoned players may not find much of interest. I suppose that interest in sheet music has been in decline and/or it's easier to carry a larger selection on line. The staff was pleasant. The store was neat.

It is still sitting here unused, which is typical for some kids to experiment before they find the right instrument. Menchey's offered to buy it back at their MAXIMUM price of - get ready- 75 bucks!!! Mint condition. They would have gone onto resell or rent this instrument for about $500 to someone else!!! We will sell it to someone else, thank you. Greedy, overpriced, and uncaring!!! Well established, entrenched in every school system- they may look good on the outside- but at this point, this "Family Owned" business seems dysfunctional. If we could rewind the clock, we'd never patronize this corporation.

I was willing to pay whatever was needed, because the watch had sentimental value. The owner checked out the watch and said that the only problem was that the battery had been installed backwards (or maybe upside down, I forget). She installed it properly and wouldn't take a penny for her diagnosis or work. I really appreciated her generosity and have had nothing but good experiences there.

I had to have mine removed for a medical procedure. I already had one I had purchased out of state. I went in to have it put back on and took the other with me as well. They wanted to charge $10 to get the 2nd one also attached. The only additional effort was a spark from the welder they already had out. My arm was already there, the person was already doing it for the one I paid $60 for. I've shopped multiple times here over the years, but never again. There was no extra cost to the store to weld the 2nd bracelet. Customer service is more than just a hello when you walk in. Don't visit unless you want to pay extra for service you can easily find elsewhere.
