I have two Westies and brought them to this location maybe 2-3 times before making the decision to look elsewhere and change groomers. Finding a groomer was hard as I started looking during the start of the COVID pandemic. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, without notice, they added an extra charge of $30-40/per dog, due to them being "difficult". I asked them what that meant, and asked them if they were biting at them, and they said no. One of the groomers did have some scratches on her arms, but didn't go into details on what happened. This place accepts anywhere from 6-8 dogs at a time, and my only guess was that maybe the combined noises from the blow driers was too much for my two dogs. Their haircuts were fine, but overpriced for the end product. I am completely happy with the current groomer we go to in WSP - Wiggles & Wags. It is a smaller location, and that could have been just what I needed for my two dogs. Leah and Alex clearly have had a lot of experience. I was concerned dropping them off after the experience at Haute Dog, but when I picked them up, they told me that "they were great - no problems". I couldn't believe my ears. I shared my experience at Haute Dog, and they said that is not the experience they had. My concern for Haute Dog is the well-being of dogs that may have special needs. My suggestion is that they get some employees who can think on the spot and find new ways to make dogs feel safe as every dog is different and has different fears or anxieties. When I picked up my dogs from Haute Dog, they could not wait to get out of that space and were shaking. Because of COVID it was another barrier that left me with many questions why my dogs were in the state that they were.

He used to love groomer but he is seriously traumatized by this visit he's shaking hiding under bed and not the same dog. She helped us with the next appt including a price range and what would be done. Fast forward 1 month we called and verified the appt and price. Same as before. Then we called the day before. Verified and still same range. Then the morning of they called to move up the appt. And i again explained what i wanted and they agreed. We then got to the groomer and again explained what we wanted and confirmed the price range. The girl agreed. When we went to pick up our puppy the groomer refused to let is see her till we paid. Which was a red flag. And then told me the price was significantly over the range i was quoted. She yelled at me and refused to let me see our puppy. I explained the i had confirmed the quote so many times and asked her to honor what they said. She refused. She then called the owner in. Who's customer service was as bad as the groomers. They were extremely angry and inconsistent with their information. They finally let me see our puppy and i realized they must have known how bad they had done. Nothing that i had asked for was done and the haircut was so bad. Our poor dog looks terrible. We paid the price due to just wanting leave. We will never go back. I have been taking my mini-doodle Shelby to Zoom Groom since she was just four months old and we absolutely LOVE Anna and the staff. They offer puppy baths for dogs to get them socialized to the grooming process and it was very helpful for our dog. She has absolutely no issues being groomed, brushed or handled because of the great job Anna did with her as a puppy. Doodles, from what I hear from other doodle moms, can be challenging to groom properly (technique-wise), and I have seen a lot of photos of horribly groomed doodles. Anna knows exactly what she is doing with Shelby, and she always comes out looking like a doodle and not a poodle (other doodle owners will know what I mean!). Shelby loves going to see Anna, is never anxious when we walk in, and is always super happy and smiling (yes, smiling) when I pick her up. I have found them to be very flexible and accommodating as well. Their pricing is extremely fair and competitive, and the quality of the services can't be beat. Anna also goes that extra step and hand-makes little hair bows for the pups after their groom/bath - they are so cute! Seriously, I think the previous review must have been a misunderstanding, a competitor, or a dog that has never been properly socialized to being groomed professionally before. I have recommended ZoomGroom to all of my puppy-mom friends, and our doggie daycare recommends them as well!! I left him on vacation for four days once, and even though my roommate was home, Crow meowed himself hoarse and lost weight while I was gone. He was only 5.5 lbs to start with, so we couldn't have him lose more. The next time I had to leave, Anne dropped in on him each day to play with him and make sure he was getting adequate amounts of his prescription food. He loved her, and I swear her weighed more when I got home! No hoarseness, and he's at happily on her lap when we were following up on how he had been. I know she has cats of her own, and she really does have a gift for making them happy. I can't thank her enough for the care and love she gave Crow!
