    Soft pretzel

I came to Hops on Tap to see a band perform. As a concert venue, Hops on Tap does a great job! The band sets up in a large area in one of the "main corners" of the venue, and all tables have a good view. The interior is also very brightly-lit, which is appreciated. There are shelves with lots of board and card games, and several patrons come regularly to enjoy music and play games. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and you may see a radio-controlled R2D2 make an appearance at the end of the night. Food is serviceable, but is nothing noteworthy. The soft pretzel is clearly a SuperPretzel, and a lot of what's on the menu, and things like napkins, etc. appear to come from Costco. Not that there's anything wrong with this, of course, and I'll probably opt for something different than a sandwich on my next visit (perhaps their "scratch-made" soup). I was very happy that Hops on Tap offers Kombucha on-tap as well. Parking is very simple as Hops on Tap is in a very large shopping center with its own equally large parking lot. If you want a good place to see live music, Hops on Tap fits the bill nicely!

If you're looking for a dog friendly place-- this is it! We were greeted to the patio with friendly faces and some good belly rubs and treats for our French Bulldog. Large side patio with the coldest (biggest) selection of local draft brews. Beautifully kept plants, board games and live music surround you inside. We did not order food but they've got a great menu. We will certainly be trying it next time around. We love to support a locally owned and kind hearted spot!!

Super nice place to sit, chill and have a conversation. The atmosphere is relaxing and modern with lots of lighting from the windows. The owner waited on us and was super helpful in selection picking. I tried a couple and settled on the, Hoppy Belgian Golden Ale which was refreshing and just what I wanted. With an alcohol content of 8.5% it's more of a sipper than a chugger, the perfect addition for just sitting and chatting with someone you haven't seen in a while. I'd love to try some of their kombuchas the next time I'm there. The menu is a bit hard to decipher but also pretty cool because once you figure it out, it gives you a ton of information.

Good pretzel. Small but for $3 definitely worth it

Jalapeño popper dip - tasted better than it looked although it didn't have much flavor. Chicken didn't add anything to the experience, not worth getting. Chili - great presentation but sadly lacking much flavor. Too many green onions. Pretzel - this was a winner! Soft, chewy, with an abundance of mustards to choose from. Red wine - can't remember the name of what I got but it was mediocre. Overall, though, I REALLY like this place. It has great energy, very open with lots of windows, good location, even a book section!, and the staff were extremely friendly. A very mom and pop place with a waiter even bringing around free taste testers and a raffle. I will DEFINITELY return soon. 4.5 stars!

    A nice vino!

New, clean, modern, homey, convenient, elegant but not pretentious. Leather couches and chairs, TVs with sports, checkers/chess table in the outside patio area. Nice tap list, great prices for wine. Attentive staff. I luv this place! While your significant other is shopping at Safeway across the parking lot, excuse yourself for a pint at Hops on Tap!

Live band on a Saturday evening.

I decided to check this place out with a Groupon deal and was glad I did! The lady at the counter was super helpful and friendly-assisting us to choose our drinks. This place clean and has a relaxing atmosphere- and a good selection of drinks. Lotsa of parking, live music and great service- what else can one ask for on a Saturday night date?

She said she's never been married but she knew that someone saying that to you is as close to marriage as she's gotten, in working this job. Unfortunately my friend had to abruptly leave and we waited a few minutes to try to get the check but despite it being really really dead the server took FOREVER to get there!! That was why my score went down. The beers were great and the food was too. But the service wasn't. It was okay at best. Pretty disappointed. Because it's a super cute spot. I'd definitely go back.

Flavors to find in this beer are kind of a light buttery flavor (diacetyl), a natural sweetness, maltiness along with a clean finish. We got some really cool faded (acid washed maybe) black t shirts here for future representing for future brewery adventures!

The brewery is aviation themed and the decor matches up with that quite well which gives the place a unique atmosphere. We had to different beers from this brewery. Both were solid and enjoyable. The first beer I had was a Mexican Lager. One of my favorite kinds of lagers. The name of this one was Midnight Mariachi. The flavors you will pick up with this beer are a malty and biscuity flavor. I might add this is a dark Mexican Lager as there are light ones as well. The other beer we had was an IPA. This one was called Island Jumper. Flavor features to enjoy with this one are citrus, tropical, some sweetness as well as bitterness and hoppiness. A very good IPA! Good stop for sure and fun brewery to go to if you are in the Tigard area.

[Format & Space] Seat yourself*, review the menus at the table, order at the bar, they bring your food and drinks to your table. *Plenty of tables, some with long benches, others with chairs on the inside. There's also a large patio. This is a welcome and safe space. [Drinks] Right up front, I'm going to tell you I'm a lightweight. I'm allergic to alcohol, so I don't drink often. Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!
