Unfortunately my friend had to abruptly leave and we waited a few minutes to try to get the check but despite it being really really dead the server took FOREVER to get there!! We came to the Portland and in this specific case the Tigard area for when it was around my birthday which is an annual event. We hit a bunch of breweries and then go out to a nice dinner! Cooper Mountain Ale Works was one of the brewery stops and we enjoyed the beer! I got one of my favorite kinds of pilsners, an Italian kind! The name of this beer was Lucy In The Sky With Saphir. A fun name and it tells you what music and songs the brewmaster feels inspired by. Flavors to find in this beer are kind of a light buttery flavor (diacetyl), a natural sweetness, maltiness along with a clean finish. We got some really cool faded (acid washed maybe) black t shirts here for future representing for future brewery adventures! read more

I've been here several times and I really appreciate their laid back and chilled atmosphere. The staff are friendly and I really enjoy the live music on Thursdays. One of my favorite food items here is the pizza. Is wood fired and flavorful. The G.O.A.T. pizza is one of my favorites. Plenty of tables inside and a nice partly covered patio out front. Parking is difficult as they have no parking lot so it's street parking which is shared with many different businesses, so expect to park a distance and maybe up to a 5 min walk. Still not bad. The beer itself I find good, but not great. Not my favorite but still appreciate a brewery beer over mass produced stuff. There are better breweries around the Portland area but the beer is good enough. The other food is great. I love the reuben and the fish and chips. Today we joined as a group of eight. Most of the group was already but as soon as we sat down, we were rushed to order drinks and it was going to take some time for me as there are several beers to choose from. I told our waiter to come back in a few minutes. He came back and got everyone's drinks, but didn't ask for my drink order now that I decided. When he came back later to take food orders, I told him I wanted to order my beer and he acted surprised that I wanted to order a drink. I don't understand that at all because I made it quite clear o wanted to order a drink before and just need a few moments to figure it out. We also ordered our pizza and a half Caesar salad. Well after waiting 15 min he never brought my beer to me. He was serving other patrons in the bar but never got to my beer. Eventually the pizza and salad came out. No beer. We also didn't really get any napkins. And I had to ask our other friends for their forks to eat our salad. He did notice we didn't have any plates for our pizza so he brought that. He didn't really attend to us much, but then he was the bartender too so was doing double duty. Anyway, when I got the bill I saw that he charged me for the beer. I told him he never brought it and he says he remembered pouring it, but honestly in don't know how you remember pouring a beer and then not giving it to the right person. That's just not good service. Since our party was a group we got automatically charged 20% for tips. I don't have a problem with that so long as the service is good, but it was just mediocre. We met our friends for dinner the other day, we really like the meal and drink options. We tried their pizza and and a new sandwich The Meltdown, Ham, Guda, Caramelized onion, Cheddar and American Cheese served on sourdough with fries. Unfortunately, our experience with our server, Jeff, completely changed the atmosphere of the meal. From the moment we sat down, he came across as irritated and uninterested in helping us. Every question or request seemed to be met with attitude, impatience, or an annoyed response, to the point where it felt uncomfortable interacting with him. We tried to stay polite and understanding throughout the meal, but the negative energy never really improved. Simple things like ordering drinks, asking about menu items, or requesting anything additional felt like we were inconveniencing him. Good service can really elevate a dining experience, and unfortunately in this case, the service did the opposite. Again, the food itself was enjoyable, and that's the reason this isn't a completely negative review. But customer service matters just as much as the meal, and the overall experience was overshadowed by how unpleasant the interaction with our server was. This was the first time I had been back to this space after it changed ownership hands several years ago. We went here to meet up with friends for happy hour the other night, and it very much felt like the same vibe as before. Except there's a stage for live music now instead of play space and video game area. It's giving Pacific NW could-be-at-any-local-microbrewery vibes: wood everywhere, random local sports team flags, beer company posters on the wall. It's a large space with plenty of seating both inside and out. There were a good amount of beers on tap and a nice variety. A couple of us had ciders while the others had beers, and they were all enjoyable. I do love that they have happy hour every day, including weekends, from 2-5pm. We ordered the sliders and the vegetable tempura to share, and that was just the right amount for me and my husband to split. And both were delicious! What really surprised and impressed me was the service. It was terrible here before with the previous owners, and I had heard rumblings that the bad service continued. However, on our visit, the servers were awesome. They took our orders when we were ready, without having to wait too long, and they checked in with us throughout the night. Everyone we encountered who worked there was super friendly and helpful. The location is right off of Main Street in downtown Tigard. While it used to be super easy to find street parking right out front, it's starting to get busier as more businesses open up, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking. Someone was leaving their spot right when we got there, so we were lucky and snagged a spot right out front, but the rest of the street was packed. Overall, it's a decent spot to meet up with friends for happy hour. The ambience/decor is sort of all over the place, and the other food options on the main menu didn't inspire me (almost everything had cheese or other dairy), hence the four stars. Great service, food, and ambiance. When you go out to dinner with a friend that you haven't seen in a long while (especially a friend that you used to live with ‍), you better hope that place you meet at is good. Unbeknownst to us, Cooper Mountain Ale Works serves schnitzel, which, funnily enough, is sort of a bonding point for us in our past. And while the schnitzels we had together in the past are no longer available, knowing this good of a schnitzel is right down the road puts a smile on my face. It is super crispy with lots of flavor. The beer was good, though didn't necessarily blow me away. I think if I'm particular about the beer I want, I might just go around the block to Tigard Taphouse, but the one thing that place doesn't have is a good menu of food. There's lots more items on here that I'm eager to try out! I've still yet to find a fish & chips place better than my favorite, so definitely expect me to come back to try those out. I thought this was the ultimate local spot!! It was amazing! The beer, the food, reminded me of local German spots that I grew up with, in Germany. Even though I have a registered service dog, it seemed as if they were way more dog friendly than the rest of the local places. My fiance' and I would make this our normal date night on Fridays, We fell in love with the beer, and mostly the fact that we could hang out with our dogs and not feel segregated against, even though legally they could not stop us from bringing our service animals with us. That all changed, when tonight we were told that one of the servers was reprimanded because he petted our dogs too much, even though we allowed him to do so. Now, our service animals are not allowed to lay down on the seat next to us, like they always used to. This place has turned into a place just like anywhere else, where the passive aggressive locals {Californian natives) have somehow taken over, and convinced the owners that dogs should not be allowed in their restaurant. So, good luck to all you Fucking Hipsters that have taken over this beautiful place that I considered home, up until tonight. Everything about this place is a 10 for us! The service is always amazing and we are slowly trying our way around the menu. The 3 piece fish and chips came with three huge pieces of fish. The batter was light and crunchy and the fish inside was super fluffy. It comes with a generous portion of fries as well. The pepperoni pizza comes with the little cupping pepperonis. I have been here several times with my family including two young children. The food has been consistently good. Nice beer selection. local spot and it feels good to support a small business. We are not overly picky, so we made due considering the food is good. Meanwhile my toddlers were glued to the TV as people were tazed down and held at gunpoint. I realized I couldn't be the lady that complains about her order being wrong AND the lady that asks for the TV to be changed, so I took one for the fam (did not mention my order was incorrect) and quite literally said "hey, do you mind if we change the channel on the TV? My 2yo is watching someone being held up at gunpoint." She shot me a really cold look and said "uhm if no one else is watching it" then paraded off red pony tail swinging. Uhhhm, okay? My husband and I have been to this location 3 times now. I have had a sandwich, pizza and a burger. All were very good. The pizza crust is made in house and pizza is the right balance of crispy and flimsy(?). That burger though... I ordered well done because I don't want pink and it was the juiciest most delicious burger I've had in a long time(fry options come with it, I had waffle). I've stopped in here a few times over the years when it was Max Fannos and always found it to be a quite satisfactory experience. I live at the north end of 217 so Tigard is not exactly my home stomping ground. But I am a member of the Legion post just down the street which is sufficient excuse to do an Old Town Tigard bar crawl now and then. I see a lot of whining in the reviews about issues that barely blip my meter. I'm long retired so needing fast service so I can have lunch and get back to work is long in my distant past. I go to places like these to relax, have a nice meal, a cold beer and perhaps socialize a little if I happen to run into anyone interesting. Especially now, living with the aftermath of the scamdemic, you aren't always going to get the most rapid service due to labor shortages and certain items may not be available. That's life in our brave new world. If you voted for the people who caused this fiasco, complain to yourself if you don't like the world you created. Kate nutty shutdown Brown is sufficient reason for me to like this place. They have a still out back and brew their own which is kinda nice. Brewmasters tend to know lot more about their products than a tap house that gets their kegs delivered. Not that I am a beer snob at all because I am not. If it's cold and tastes like beer I'm a happy guy. So I'm generally NOT a happy guy in a UK pub even as much as I enjoy Bitters. The food here is quite good, reasonably priced with generous portions. I really like the mac and cheese and the reuben is quite good. Staff is great. Very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Never been especially crowded when I've been there and never a problem finding a free table. There is an outside patio that's nice when the annual monsoons are over. This place is at the west end of Old Town Tigard right on the main drag. Parking can be iffy especially with all the road destruction going on. But you can always find a spot on a side street if you don't mind walking a block or so. read more

Tables are sanitized between customers, seating inside and outside (socially distanced), great service, and a variety of food options. First - pups are welcome on the outside patio! Thursday nights - live music Weekend - brunch! Details: Beer - great variety of choices (I opted for Belgian-styles, my favorite is the Brownton Abbey.) I tend to gravitate toward non-IPA styles, and this place has a lot to choose from - all solid beers, and many styles to suit your hop pleasure. All the beers are whimsically named, and I have to say that's half the fun of a good brewery is how they name their beers! We've been for both dinner and brunch. Vegetarian/pescatarian options are available. I believe they do a Beyond Burger, and I've had the fish and chips - super crispy breading on the fish, served with nicely seasoned waffle fries! We've also ordered pizza, which I highly recommend - it definitely feeds at least 2! Brunch options were also good - though I didn't love the "salmon hash", it's more like a salmon cake, the other breakfast options were good (and you can get hash browns!) Thursday's Live Music is a great option for folks starving for entertainment.
