I paid a $214 deposit to deep clean 2 houses. Amber stated two people would arrive between 9a-10a on Tuesday. No communication from Amber until 11:45a. She reschedules for first thing this morning due to a power outage. No sign or word from her this morning. I finally sent a text at approx 11a, and receive a response explaining road crews are clearing the road and they cannot get out. I receive a text at 1p stating they will be able to leave in 20-30 minutes and asked if either home would be vacant. I explained we are painting one room, but she can clean the rest of the house. She confirmed. However, she never arrived or messaged. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication caused scheduling issues/delays for us. I used this service yesterday and it was a little bit on the expensive side but I was willing to pay since I thought they'd do a good job. The owner quoted me the price and how long she thought they'd take- which was 2ish hours. I left and came back to the house looking clean but wasn't deep cleaned like I had asked and paid for. Floors weren't mopped well, counter tops weren't even cleaned, tv stands we're only surfaced cleaned and didn't even bother to clean the shelves on the bottom. Didn't touch my kids room or really ours. They pretty much cleaned the two bathrooms, the oven and vacuumed. When I emailed the owner with my concerns and included pictures, she dismissed me and indicated that it wasn't enough time and that I would need to purchase more time if I wanted it all done. She was rude and wasn't willing to listen to the customers complaints. I think she's in the wrong kind of business if she's not doing her job well and has poor customer service. Called for a quote. Owner said that the hourly charge was $40/$45 per hour for 2 house cleaners. Provided square footage and lay-out home and that this was a pre-listing house cleaning. Owner indicated that it would take 4-5 hrs. I responded with so it will be $200-$250 for the job and she said yes. I thanked her for the information. I scheduled with her the next day by phone and emailed a detailed list of what we was to be done. We wanted the windows washed inside and out but they only did inside but was going to try and see if their outside window washer was available. I was told this would be an additional charge if he was. That was fine. Cleaners arrived on time. I left them to clean a house that is completely void of all furniture. Came back a couple of time to check on their progress which seemed to be fine. I arrived just as they were finishing and met them in the driveway. It was my plan to go inside and make sure that everything had been done before paying them. The owner told me that the bill was $497 and I was dumbfounded when I had been quoted $200-$250. She then said that the hourly rate was per person and that they had cleaned the windows and tracks inside and that was also an additional charge. I refused to pay the outrageous price and the owner got very angry saying that I misunderstood (even though I had detailed notes) and that they had just done a fabulous job of cleaning this house. She then backed down and said we could split the difference at $350. I agreed but she refused to back into the house with me for an inspection and jumped in her car and left. I went in and found that most of the house had been cleaned satisfactorily but that they had not cleaned anything in the utility room. Counter, cabinets, floor, sink and washer/dryer had not been touched and were dirty. I had to purchase cleaning materials so that I could finish the job. I would never use this company again and will make sure that everyone I know in the area knows how unprofessional this owner is and the poor quality of work that they provide. read more
