This place is an absolutely rip off. My daughter is 13 and wanted a gel manicure with a very simple design. They charged me $80!!!!. $80 for a gel manicure???? Never again. I just don't understand why they don't clean and sterilize their tools! In this day and age sterilization is a MUST. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I was also very dissatisfied with my technician. I have been going to Horizon now for a year and a half. I have been to dozens of nail salons and I'm very picky. Horizon is super clean. Joy does the most amazing job on my gel fill in. She is such a sweetheart. Every other place I've went my nails have chipped after a few weeks. Joys nails last an entire month and are absolutely perfect she does any design I show her even better than the photo. I also get the aloe pedicure and Ted does a fabulous pedicure. My toes never chip and he takes his time. Everyone is so nice, friendly, and accommodating and always say hi to you. I also got my eyelashes done once as well. It was $120 for a full set of super long thick and full eyelashes that took her 2 hours to do. They lasted so well on my vacation. I love horizon best place I've ever been to. Really nice nail salon that was able to take a couple of girls for a lunch time walk in pedicure. The place was packed and we still didn't have to wait, which was amazing. The scrub for the basic pedi was amazing and my polish lasted until I took it off a few weeks later. It isn't located in a convenient area for me but I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in the area. read more

Nails beware came in I asked for a color gel change and they charged me for a fill in which wasn't necessary bcs I just had a fill in 6 days ago. I drove home which was 3 hours later changed into my white slippers and had blue nail polish over them my pedicure wasn't dry in 3 hours I don't know what they put in it . I came back and the lady was laughing at it I would never come to this place again now I've wasted 30 min in driving back fourth plus another 20 min them redoing the polish and manicurist can't even do a good job read more

Super clean salon...most of the employees are friendly...they are efficient with timing too (never wait longer than 5-10mins even if they're busy). Color selection is mind blowing! Just keep in mind that some colors and gel color are more expensive than regular ones. Ask if unsure. Gel set is 70-80 dollars which seems steep but is amazingly durable. I didn't go back for a fill for 3weeks! Definitely recommend Abby (Sunday's only) and will be going back! read more

It's bad enough with COVID and cutting days of work now they have fired a 10 year employee she was the best manicurist.

My first time here, they did a great job with my manicure and pedicure. I have no complaints about the services. However, the place is dirty. The floors are filthy, the pedicure stool where you put your feet need to be wiped down and cleaned. The back-bar area behind my nail tech was covered in dust from filing ect. The towel warmer, the trays with gel nail polish, and the counter tops covered in mail dust. It really grossed me out. Luckily my mail tech did wipe down her station after filing my nails but by that point I was already grossed out. This place does good work they just need to keep up with the cleaning and appearance. read more

We probably should have read the reviews before we came here, but a friend and I were in desperate need for a manicure/pedicure prior to an event the next day. We came about an hour before close, so they wanted to do them at the same time which was totally fine. For starters, they didn't soak our feet at all. They started with taking our polish off immediately which is just odd to me before putting them in water. Truthfully, my feet feel exactly the same as they did when I got there because they barely used a pumice. The massage was no more than 30 seconds and forgettable at the least. To finish it off, they never used a base/clear coat on my nails. As for the manicure, they never soaked our hands again. Just weird to me . The girl filed my nails and put lotion on my hands/arms, then asked if I was ready to pay. I had to point out that she never pushed back or cut my cuticles. Her response made it seem as though I was ridiculous to ask for such a thing I was paying for. Crazy I know. Overall, not a good experience. The prices were cheap, but you get what you pay for. read more

I have been coming here for years and love it! However, the management keeps changing and people come and go so you need to find your regulars and make appointments with only them. Ask for "Young" or "Lisa" to do your gel manicure and "Jason" to do your pedicure with 15 minute foot massage... you'll thank me later. read more

Surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. Started going here after my usual place was unable to fit me in most of the times I tried to go. This place has a very large staff and it's always easy to call ahead or walk in. I always do a gel manicure, regular pedicure and eyebrow waxing. All of these services have been great here. The place also has a good loyalty program that you can sign up for. $1 = 1 point. At 200 points you get a free manicure, 500 a free pedicure, there are a few more rewards but at the highest reward you get a free airline ticket. Nowhere does it even list this price, lady put on one FAKE nail on my pinky finger then the rest some weird ass consistency on my other fingers because the tips for some reason wouldn't stick to my nail? Came out awful... didn't want to be rude... paid it but would never return. Botched job & she grabbed my hands all aggressive twisting my fingers like she was mad at me or something. I used to come here often when living up in Bergen County and never had an issue. I recently when for a gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure girl did a great job. The manicure lady who seemed to be a veteran was absolutely terrible. She rushed the entire thing barely letting my nails sit under the blue light. Did not cut cuticles or do anything more than a quick file before applying the polish. It's less than a week later and the polish is already starting to peel off. I will not be back!!! read more

Oh, call the cops! I just got robbed and worst part, I let it happen! My first time there and I asked for a typical gel manicure which they did. I was then charged $57!!! Yes, $57!! They told me that the gel is one price $40 and the color was $17 as that was discounted. They did what every other salon does for $30. When I called back and asked what the gel manicure price was they said $32... so why did you charge me $57? They came up with that lame excuse again. I hadn't worst and fastest pedicure in my life here. The man who did my pedicure did almost half my pedi before I had the opportunity to soak my feet. He was rough with my cuticles, he cut me by my big toe, and barely spoke to me even when I addressed him. This pedicure was $25. Not worth it at all! They didn't even offer water. Never going there again! They don't sanitize their instruments. One of the manicurist cut me and didnt even use proper sanitizing precautions. My index finger got infected so bad I had to go to the doctor office so they can drain it out and had to take antibiotics for a whole week. I will never go there again!!!! read more

My friend and I were walk-ins - seated in a timely manner for pedicures. The massage chairs and great and the employees have kind personalities. I enjoyed the scrub and massage however my polish was applied a bit sloppily, with some polish on my skin and I'm not even sure if two coats of polish was applied to achieve full opacity. I have ridges on one of my toenails which could have been buffed or they could've used a ridge filler base coat but wasn't for some reason... matter of fact, no base coat was used at all in my pedicure. I'm glad I did not pick a color that would stain my natural nail... I still had dead skin on my heels at the end of it all and can still notice days later that the polish close to the cuticle is not smooth - honestly, the pedicure itself looks like something I could've done on my own, which was disappointing. Like I said, I did enjoy the rest of the basic pedicure which includes the soak, scrub, lotion, and massage it's just the polish application left much to be desired. - Update, its been about a week and the polish is already chipping and now I notice air bubbles in the polish as well. I have been coming here for 3 years. It is my favorite nail place in the area by far. All of the employees are so friendly and genuinely care about their customers. Everyone does a great job at the pedicures and manicures and they have SO many colors including a lot of gel colors! I have been going to Mimi for a while now and she is amazing! She works so hard and really takes her time. She is so sweet and always works with me for whatever I want, she's the best! I would highly recommend making an appointment with her. Side note: they just got brand new furniture throughout the entire building including new pedicure chairs and manicure tables and chairs- super nice! read more

I will never come back to this place. For starters the guy who did my manicure chopped off all my nails which I could have lived with. However it got worst and little did I know my gel manicure would not last more than a day and a half. Once one started peeling off, they all did. This is a very well run operation, so don't expect too much socializing. If you want the best and newest selection of nail colors, including gels, this is the place to go. I had gone here several times and received good service, BUT, it really depends on which technician you get...Mainly for pedicures, and here they have mainly the guys doing pedis and the girls doing manis. Last time the pedi tech i got took soooo lonnng. Not efficient at ALL to the point of frustration, and thus not relaxing whatsoever. He couldn't speak ANY English either so i cd not communicate w him at all. Then i didn't even get lotion, which you usually get w light massage as most places do. Maybe he was new or something but after that i just wont go back again. I wd even say Most of the time the pedicure guys really just go through the motions. If you find one tech you like, make appointments and stick w him. As for me, i need the flexibility of just walking in, so i wont go here again since its just such a "gamble" and not consistent. They were shaking their heads when I told them I wanted my gel off and when I was walking out I was in such a rush to get out of there , I forgot to tip and she came up to me and asked where her tip was. Every pedicure ive gotten in the past were ok but the past 3 they barely massage my feet, i look forward to this every time i come but a light rub is just awkward and uncomfortable, i come for a nice deeper massage. Been going here for a while and the service has been nothing to write home about but nothing bad either until recently. I was just there to get a pedicure and the guy cut me (pretty bad) then proceeded to try to use a tool to dig into the area saying it was my nail (it was not it was my skin he cut). After prying several times (and having me say ow) I finally had enough and told him I was done. After getting one of his coworkers to look at it I showed her and then he was saying that my foot was like this (I can assure you I did not walk in with a bleeding toe) and still kept trying to touch it. I put my shoes on and he then came over to me and literally tried to get my shoes off of me and look at it again- I said no, and he then started arguing with me over it! It was the most unprofessional experience I ever had to deal with!! I walked out and went down the block to another nail salon. I showed them and they immediately saw his mistake and understood the problem and did not touch the area to make it worse (like he kept trying to do). I will never go again!
