That is of course a very important part. However, what you dont necessarily consider is all of the pre and post evaluations and care that are important to the surgery going well and the results being good for the long term. That is another area where Dr. Chidester is likely unmatched. He holds numerous pre and post op appointments. I remember when my wife told me about all of these extra appointments i thought, why does he want her to come back so much? I soon learned that was because he monitors the results constantly to check on how her body was responding to ensure they were not just excellent right after surgery, but for the long term. You dont really think about those types of issues. Additionally, from my understanding, most doctors do not provide such consistent after care. That is because it takes time for him to provide that type of care. He is losing out or delaying new consultations by providing that level of aftercare. When you are aware of how busy his office is, you realize that he is sacrificing money to provide the finest level of care. Overall, i am just highly impressed with dr chidester and his staff. Not only does he perform the finest surgeries, but his entire sphere of care seems to be unmatched. Maybe i am just enamored by wife's big, perfect breasts, but i think i am pretty objective. I think they will be perfect for a long time because of the level if care he and his staff provided us. When you are considering a plastic surgeon i think its imperative that you consider the whole package. Dr. Chidester is that whole package and im grateful my wife went to him.

He walked me through the entire process and post-op visits, and he's a genuinely nice, easygoing person who communicates clearly and puts you at ease. His office was also very accommodating, especially considering I traveled from out of state for the surgery. This would have been a 5/5 experience, but unfortunately I ran into issues with the office handling the required paperwork for state disability benefits. Despite following up more than 15 times via email and phone and receiving multiple assurances that it would be taken care of, the paperwork was never filed, which resulted in me losing my state disability benefits (up to $1000). While the office handled my medical insurance and short-term disability insurance without issues, state disability paperwork seems to be different, and this part was not managed successfully. I feel little sorry for them because of so much paperwork they had to do for my case, and they are not used to work with different states disability benefits, but I tried my best for them providing all the neccessary information and help them to file necessary papers. From a surgical and clinical standpoint, I highly recommend Dr. Stosich. I just wish the administrative side, particularly state disability paperwork, had been handled with the same level of care. I was a bit of a special case coming from out of state, so I don't expect most patients to have issues on the administrative side.

My gastroenterologist in Washington State is doing an upper GI next week. But he wants my Lap Band Emptied before he does the procedure. I had to fly down to Utah so I started calling as soon as I booked my flight. Needless to say I was not impressed with the staff. Now...I haven't been able to eat solids since February 19th of this year, I can't keep anything in. Everytime I do eat I am puking all my food up. I have developed in the last two years acid reflux that is painful and I can't sleep. This office dosen't care. They couldn't care less. They just take your money. When Dr. Allderidge retired I had to pay $500 to be treated and I paid $300 to get fills/ adjustments for the year. Well I paid the $300 and shortly after that had to leave the state. I do not mind the transfer fee but I would like the times and office hours posted someplace easily accessible. I am back the Fill Nurse is on Vacation but they have no one to cover her which is rediculious. So hope if you get a lap band from this office that you never have an "Emergency" when she is out because it will cost you another $50.00 on top of what you have already paid. Even though I called for this appointment weeks ago. It is considered an emergency because the Nurse is on Vacation. That is poor customer service. After I get this band loosened if my upper GI confirms what I suspect is going on I will get it removed. Because I am sick of throwing up and acid reflux. I no longer live in Utah but if you are considering the lap band... consider another doctor that actually will treat you like a patient not a paycheck. Bedside manner is very important. Needless to say, I don't feel that from this office. I am transferring my care to an office in Washington. It is sad after 15 years that I feel this way. *****Update to Review**** for transfer patients who had to switch Doctors post the schedule on your web page and update it when your nurse goes on vacation. So this kind of thing dosen't happen in the future. It helps those to be able to plan accordingly.
