We definitely wanted to visit here since we thought it was a new brewery (more on that later). This place is actually in the backyard of a local High School. Kind of odd to be honest. There is a small patio on the side of the building. The front of the building was open beings it was a nice day outside. We decided to do a flight to try the beers. Out of all that we tried and sampled, my friend was a fan of the Cherry Limeade and Anchored Down was my favorite beer. After speaking with who we assumed is the owner, we learned this place has been open a few years. I even told the guy that we have came down here for the 3rd year in a row to Florida and never has this place popped up on the map or a whisper of this place was mentioned. He gave us a background on the place and the beers themselves. I also heard from another source that one of the brewers is from our Hometown of Louisville KY. We enjoyed our visit here quite a bit however it was quite a distance from where we were staying. I wish we had time to visit one more time but, maybe next time. It is definitely worth visiting.

My pleasant experience started well before the trip. She was so easy to work with and explained all the costs and what we would be getting prior to the trip. Semi-private which was good because we were some loud drunken girls! The outside is seriously so gorgeous and every little detail is super cute and aesthetic which was the vibe for the weekend. While the fish was okay, it lacked the special touches of the past. The firecracker shrimp lacked the good flavor and gentle breading of the past. Maybe it's okay for people who have never experienced what Stinky's was, but we would plan our last night at the beach to always include Stinky's. This year it's time to find a new favorite.

We landed at Local Catch in search of grouper and we found it! I loved their blackened grouper with beurre blanc sauce, green beans and mashed potatoes. Before diving into the grouper, I shared nachos with the table and they too were surprisingly awesome. Local Catch makes their nachos with home made tortillas and something about how they topped them with pork, lots of cheese, and a little bit of a sweet salsa, madee them memorable. Other items on the seafood and American fare inspired menu include tacos, burgers, po' boys, steaks and salad. If I wasn't craving grouper, it would have been hard to choose. Service was excellent as well. We visited during the busy spring break season and there was plenty of parking in the private lot. In addition to indoor seating, there are also some tables on the front patio. I'd love to return and try many more menu items and my leam with a draft beer or cocktail.
